MOGA – a new festival of electronic music and culture that gives a unique experience to every Game of Thrones fan.

After the success of the Dunes Électroniques Festival located on the original Star Wars movie set in the middle of the Tunisian Sahara desert, the natural setting for the TV series Game of Thrones in Essaouira (Morocco) will become the backdrop for the first edition of MOGA, festival of electronic music and culture, a new initiative by Panda events and the Moroccan collective Runtomorrow.

In the course of 3 days, festival-goers will be invited to an experience outside of time, a novel escape in Essaouira, the ancient “Mogador”, to the rhythm of intense moments of music, sharing and partying.

During the day, festival goers will wander between the Medina and the beach where musical brunches, educational workshops, beach parties and digital video installations will follow one another.

At Sunset, the emblematic backdrop of the television series Game of Thrones will become the meeting point for Gnawa musicians and electronic music producers to share their experimentations in the elevated states generated by the rythms’ repetitions. The event will be free to attend and open to all.

Finally, the night will follow course to the sounds of the most prestigious international and Moroccan labels, at parties discreetly located in guest-houses tucked away in an argan forest overlooking the coast.

MOGA nurtures this heritage of contemporary influences and bridges the gap between traditional and electronic music culture.

You can watch a teaser video for the festival below, and register for early bird tickets here.

The detailed program of the festival will be released in the forthcoming weeks.
