Sweden to have women only music festival after numerous reports of sexual assault !

After multiple reports surfaced about sexual assault incidents at Swedish music festivals, organizers have now announced a women only rave. Bravalla music festival, the nations biggest rave was even cancelled due to the outrageous numbers.

This new women only festival is called ‘Statement Festival‘ and will take place in the summer of 2018.

The idea first came from Swedish comedian Emma Knyckare and took to kickstarter. It had immediate success and on October 7 they hit their target of $61,457.

Tusen miljarder grovhångel till alla som bidragit på olika sätt till @statementfestival . Vart å när kommer inom kort. Kampanjen går inte ut förrän söndag morgon så alla bidrag mottages tacksamt. Tex finns fortfarande @stinawollter tavla och kurs med @karinadelskold att kamma hem i utbyte mot casch. Om det är något jag lärt mig dom senare månaderna så är det att det är lätt att va kaxig. Utan en projektgrupp på 22 grymma personer ingenting. Utan er som backar ingenting. Kommer dock fortsätta vara kaxig. Nu jävlar kör vi, men aldrig ensamma. The kickstarter had this statement attached to it:

“At music festivals, everyone should feel safe. This sounds obvious, right? Still, year after year the music festivals around the world has shown us the opposite. However, to arrange a festival for 10 000 people is not a small defeat. We are already hard at work, but we need your help”.
