Returning to the track that kickstarted it all, Angel City delivers ‘Love Me Right (2025)’ – a reimagined take on her 2003 breakthrough single, this time teaming up with Producer A-Tribe.
Out now via MLAB, the release celebrates her legacy while pushing her sound into a new era, capturing the vibrant spirit that defined her early work with a contemporary edge.
The original ‘Love Me Right’ quickly became a staple across dancefloors, topping charts in both the UK and US and building Angel City’s reputation as a defining voice in early 2000s Dance Music.
Now, after stepping back from the scene for over a decade, Lara McAllen, the voice behind Angel City, returns with a renewed drive towards reconnecting with the Electronic Music community, eager to reintroduce herself to long-time supporters and wave in a new generation of listeners.

For Lara, this release marks more than just the music itself. It’s a step towards reclaiming her artistic voice and the chance to celebrate her journey and path ahead.
Here’s what she had to say about the release:
“I feel a mixture of nervous and excited to be releasing ‘Love Me Right’ again in 2025. It’s the same recognizable vocal but with a totally new vibe, and we’ve already had such great feedback on it, with some even saying they prefer it to the original. This time around, I get to be the artist that I authentically want to be.”
The rework preserves the uplifting essence of the original while enhancing its club appeal, delivering a polished sound that feels tuned for 2025.
Pairing crisp, expressive vocals with a dynamic production that blends nostalgia with modern energy, Angel City’s vocals steer the track with clarity and warmth as shimmering synth lines, energetic bass grooves, and rhythmic layers create a powerful foundation for her melodic phrasing to carry through.
It’s a track that honors Angel City’s roots while making a bold statement about the direction of her artistry today. With a video on the horizon, Lara is embracing the chance to pair the track’s vibrant energy with a visual that matches:
“I feel really passionately about putting out music that makes people feel good, and this track is one that gets you up and dancing no matter what you are feeling like! I can’t wait to release the video for this one. I’ve been really enjoying working with the dancers on something unapologetically theatrical, colourful and fun.”
As she hints towards an upcoming video, as well as new collaborations and further releases to follow, Angel City is stepping confidently into this next chapter, driven by purpose, dedication, and a clear creative vision.
