Following the release of their sweeping remix of “Sacrifice,” genre-defying band 2ŁØT returns today with “Never Knew You (The Albert Harvey Mix),” the next single from their forthcoming EP The Albert Harvey Mix, out October 24th.
The track offers a moody, club-ready reinvention of one of the most poignant songs from the band’s debut album Entropy – now filtered through the lens of celebrated Dutch producer Albert Harvey known for his work with David Guetta, Avicii, Armin van Buuren and Stargate.
“Never Knew You” is a meditation on intimacy, misperception, and the quiet realization that we often only know people on the surface. The lyrics speak to the distance between how we see others and who they truly are.
“For me, this song is one of the most emotionally layered tracks on Entropy,” says Love Jr. “My father wrote the original lyrics years ago, and finishing the song with the band after his passing gave it a whole new weight. It became about seeing yourself in someone else’s absence. Albert’s remix doesn’t take anything away from that – it builds on it with this pulse and movement that makes the story feel alive in a different way.”

While the original version of “Never Knew You” leaned into smoky instrumentation and melancholic restraint, Harvey‘s reimagining gives the song new urgency. Through hypnotic rhythms and textural layering, the remix pulls the listener deeper into the emotional architecture of the track – building an atmosphere of ache, memory, and motion.
“Never Knew You (The Albert Harvey Mix)” is the second of four songs featured on The Albert Harvey Mix, a new EP that reimagines key tracks from Entropy through the Dutch producer’s globally attuned ear.
The EP follows the band’s recent collaborations with Aloe Blacc (“Immortal“) and Paul Oakenfold (“Entropy (Remix)“), further expanding their reach into the world of dance and electronic music without sacrificing their mission of depth, resilience, and social connection.
