WARNING Issued Over NEW Extra Strong IKEA Ecstasy Tablets !!!

An 18-year-old man has died from what is believed to be a “particularly strong” batch of new IKEA ecstasy tablets.

Police said Kyle Pringle, from St Helier, died at the General Hospital early on Saturday morning.

Jersey Police have now issued health warnings for a new extra strong kind of IKEA ecstasy tablets. They are yellow and blue, have the word IKEA stamped on them and are believed to be circulating the island.

“Whilst subject to toxicology reports and a post-mortem, evidence at this time suggests the death is as a result consumption of IKEA ecstasy tablets,” a police statement said.

“We strongly advise members of the public not to take these tablets in the interests of their health.

“Anyone who does take the tablets and becomes unwell is urged to seek medical attention through their GP or in an emergency, attend at the accident and emergency department.”

In March, Manchester police issued warnings about pink teddy bear pills that put four teenagers in hospital.

EDC Las Vegas first night: 29 felony narcotics arrests, 443 medical calls with 6 transports

Medical calls at Electric Daisy Carnival – Las Vegas’ first night double last year’s number.

Police and emergency crews were kept busy as 136,000 festival-goers attended the first night of Insomniac’s Electric Daisy Carnival at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Metro Police recorded a total of 33 arrests, including 29 felony narcotics arrests and two gross misdemeanor arrests for battery on an officer, the department said in a news release. No drivers were arrested for driving under the influence.

“Normal numbers across the board,” Metro spokesman Officer Larry Hadfield said today. “If anything, it’s lower than the last couple days of last year.”

There were 443 medical calls that required six to be transported to area hospitals, a 129 percent increase from 2016. One employee was also transported for a pre-existing medical condition.

Insomniac Productions estimated about 136,000 festival-goers attended the first night, an increase of about 1,000 people from the previous year. Insomniac also reported many more ejections from the first day of this year’s festival — 118 compared with 36 in 2016.

Martin Solveig unveils his new single “All Stars” featuring ALMA

Charismatic French DJ and producer Martin Solveig presents his eagerly-awaited new single, ‘All Stars’ featuring Finnish breakthrough act ALMA.

‘All Stars’ is a compelling display of Solveig’s multi-faceted sound, intertwined with ALMA‘s remarkable vocal prowess. Built around the Finnish singer’s soulful voice, the feel-good anthem flaunts catchy xylophone hooks and a lead bassline, before propelling into an onslaught of brass fanfares and melodic grooves.

Maceo Plex finally released his long awaited studio album ‘Solar’ !

Acclaimed US DJ and producer Maceo Plex has released his long awaited studio album ‘Solar’ today.

The climax to a lead up that included last year’s 7-track ‘Journey to Solar‘, and 2015’s 2 track ‘Solar Sampler’, ‘Solar’ is out now on his brand new label Lone Romantic.

Lone Romantic is a new electronica based label; it will focus on albums and will also open its doors to releasing more avant guard and leftfield singles.Meanwhile, the ‘Solar’ album allows Maceo to utilise the long format to explore and expose his less explicitly club leaning and more reflective side, taking the listener on a journey through shades of electronica, techno, breakbeats, dub and more.

Named after his son Solar, the album also chronicles his new found fatherhood; “the ups and downs in the first few years and its effects on life, marriage and more”.

There’s still dancefloor suitable music within the album; opener ‘Sparks of Light”s propulsive drums make for an attention grabbing first track, just as the driving 4/4 bassline of closing track ‘The Tesseract‘ is a memorable climax. ‘Polygon Pulse‘ also features the hefty low end that Maceo has become known for, yet underneath breakbeat style drums and sighing vocal snippets.

Vocals are a prominent defining feature of ‘Solar’ that mark it out as a departure towards more of a home listening, experimental album. ‘Indigo‘ marries Maceo’s characteristic signature sounds with a slower tempo and gritty male vocals for a stirring, downbeat piece of indie electronica, whilst following track ‘Separation’s breathy vocals and subtle DnB cymbals feel more relaxed.

‘Kepler’s Journey’ marks a stylistic break midway through the album, before the vocoded vocals of ‘Solar Wind’ and ‘Wash Away My Tears’ (the 12″ mix of which was included in the Solar Sampler) bring to mind a forward thinking, indie take on French touch. Elsewhere, the lilting, dub techno influenced ‘Swan Dive‘ sees this effect take on a more eery, thoughtful tone.

The release of ‘Solar’ sees Maceo Plex enter a new, more developed chapter of his long career – taking the sounds that have made him so popular and building upon them to push himself forward artistically, the album is a very personal use of the long format and an education in the producer’s musical influences.

One of the world’s biggest electronic dance music festivals, Tomorrowland arrives back in Boom, Belgium, for another year of magical moments and electronic music. Just ahead of the festival’s start, Tomorrowland shares its video trailer for the 2017 theme named ‘Amicorum Spectaculum‘.

The 2017 trailer is unlike any other from EDM festivals in its category. Instead of focusing on the production of the event, the screaming crowds or DJs themselves, Tomorrowland has chosen instead to preview the circus inspired theme which is expected to be an omen for the festival.

It has been a long time since we last spoke. I’m writing you with incredible joy and excitement. For the time has come again to entertain The Children of all Ages.

Jeff Hartford first took the music world by storm back when his identity had yet to be uncovered, and whispers began circulating that the enigmatic ATTLAS was actually deadmau5 producing music under a new alias. While he is not, in fact, deadmau5, Hartford‘s evocative and envelope-pushing productions landed him a home at mau5trap; he’s released his “Bloom” EP on the label as well as several high-profile tracks, including his Billboard #2 Remix of “Bitch Better Have My Money.”

It’s nearly impossible to place ATTLAS into a genre: his music incorporates everything from cinematic vocal clips to dark basslines to glitchy leads with captivating prowess. Insomniac’s EDC – Electric Daisy Carnival, Las Vegas is right around the corner, and it seems to be making everyone giddy with excitement! Except the stellar lineup every year, one of the most exciting part about EDC is the absolutely breathtaking main stage design.

It’s that time for spoiler pictures of the brand new EDC Las Vegas Kinetic Gaia main stage designs to come out. We’ve already gotten a couple of teasers of the stage from Pasquale Rotella himself, including a large owl and a massive open palm, but today someone make it to the grounds of the Las Vegas’ Motor Speedway and just leaked the full stage through anonymous snap on the /r/aves subreddit.

This year’s ‘Kinetic Gaia‘ main stage looks amazing and is sure to be a hit for all festival-goers who have been lucky enough to get tickets.
