Meo Kalorama announce first wave of artists for its 2023 edition in Portugal

After a memorable first edition in 2022, MEO Kalorama Festival will return this August 31st to September 2nd 2023, to the beautiful Bela Vista Park in Lisbon and an incredible mix of music, art and sustainability.

Now MEO Kalorama announces over 40 new names including the British icon and ever-mystical Siouxsie from the mythical band The Banshees and the American indie band the Yeah Yeah Yeahs who will be rocking the crowds with their fresh music.

Everyone’s favorite mysterious producer Aphex Twin will be taking the stage on his first tour since 2019, alongside the British rap sensation SLOWTHAI who will be bringing his raw lyrics to the festival. The disruptive Venezuelan producer and vocalist Arca will be bringing their ever-creative energy as well as the electronic pop producer Anthony Gonzalez aka M83, who just shared his ninth album ‘Fantasy‘.

On a very special performance, the indie folk singer-songwriter José Gonzalez will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of his debut album ‘Veneer‘, alongside the renowned Scottish indie-pop heroes Belle & Sebastien who will be presenting their new album ‘Late Developers‘. The Canadian duo Junior Boys dropped their latest album after a six-year hiatus and are also on the bill, as well as the previously announced headliners Arcade Fire and Florence + The Machine.

In 2023 MEO Kalorama will feature an exciting brand new stage, PANORAMA, a space dedicated exclusively to electronic music with an impressive quadraphonic sound design. The PANORAMA stage will welcome the likes of Ben Ufo, Bundino, Call Super B2B Anz, Phoebe, John Talabot, Gazzi, Denmark, Moxie, Peach, Nicolas Lutz, Tijana T and Violet to name a few.

MEO Kalorama is committed to supporting and giving a platform to local talent this year with some of the most exciting Portuguese artists included in the bill such as Pongo, Scúru Fitxádu, Selma Uamusse and EU.CLIDES.
