Swiss mountain top festival Polaris returns for its eighth edition

Swiss mountain top festival Polaris returns for its eighth edition, taking place across two weekends in November – 17-18 and 24-25. Across both weekends, Polaris features some of electronic music’s most respected and exciting players of the moment.

The festival takes place in a huge dome with 360 views of the Alps, in Verbier, one of the best mountain top ski resorts in the world. Over the two weekends many electronic music lovers from around the world ascend the mountain to dance closer to the sky.

The music curation weaves DJ and Live elements and brings together international pioneers of the movement and sounds of the future. Creating a special and unique moment on the mountain top, immersed in amazing sounds and surrounded by beautiful landscapes.

The opening night – Friday 17 November – features a collaboration with renowned Montreaux Jazz for a concert with Marc Rebillet, followed by a 4-hour set from vibration shifter Natasha Diggs, Kink LIVE, Marcel Dettmann and Cody Currie.

Saturday 18 November welcomes back Detroit LoveCarl Craig‘s brainchild bringing together the sounds and love of Detroit for a special experience on the mountain. Carl Craig will be joined by a rare 4 hour set from Sound Signature label head Theo Parrish, plus Detroit soul sensations Dames Brown Live, Marcellus Pittman and Specter.

Weekend two welcomes back Dixon, whose high frequencies on the mountain take you UP, plus Gerd Janson and sounds of the moment Hunee and Paula Tape and newcomers Trikk and Tai Lokun.

The closing night welcomes back very special guest Laurent Garnier for a very special mountain top closing set, plus master of deep house, Ron Trent, is back in Europe after a seven year break, the full power energy of Mr G Live is never to be missed, alongside DJ Deep and Bel-Air LTD.
