The Romanian DJ and producer shaped the track with his touch on the angelic voice of the singer-songwriter Stine Grove. This remix differs from all the others, being very personal for Andrew Dum.
“I started working on this remix one year ago. Tears is a song I used to listen to on repeat when I first got into music. Stine Grove’s voice is one of those rare voices that touches you deeply and remains with you forever. It is truly unforgettable, like the eternal musician Headstrong,” shares Andrew Dum.
While infusing his imprint on “Tears”, Andrew Dum reached out to Headstrong and Stine Grove to share it. Unfortunately, the producer who inspired him, Don Jackson, world-renowned as Headstrong, passed away.
“That hit me hard. He was an inspiration, creating memorable music and moments for millions of people, leaving a long legacy for all. I was shocked and hurt, and I knew one thing for sure – I had to finish my remix as a tribute to the legend.
It was a deep process, and I took all the time I needed until I felt that this was it. I hope this remix reaches your hearts the way the original reached mine,” says Andrew Dum.
The sorrow isn’t lost; it is simply transformed. The reimagined version of “Tears” transforms its emotional depth into a danceable, soul-celebrating journey. Andrew Dum infused afro percussions, deep and uplifting basslines, melodic synths, and organic drums.
