AIRBEAT ONE 2025 Festival Draws 200,000 Fans for a “Viva España” Celebration

“Adios AIRBEAT ONE” echoed through the early morning air at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, as the final beats of Germany’s largest electronic music festival faded out. More than 200,000 guests celebrated for four nights and three days at the 22nd edition of the mega festival in Neustadt-Glewe. With visitors from all across Germany and over 50 countries worldwide, the airfield transformed into the third-largest city in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern during the event.

Under the 2025 theme “Viva España,” fans were treated to a spectacular festival production. Towering above everything was the 180-meter-wide and 45-meter-high Mainstage, designed as a fusion of Gaudí’s Sagrada Familia in Barcelona and Las Ventas bullring in Madrid. Other stages also reflected the theme, including a Spanish hacienda-inspired Terminal stage and a giant bull’s head adorning the Harder Stage.

In total, 250 DJs and artists delivered over 225 hours of music across six infield stages, covering nearly every electronic genre. Many global superstars made their way to northern Germany, including Armin van Buuren, Alok, Afrojack, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Hardwell, Oliver Heldens, Timmy Trumpet, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Steve Aoki. The American megastar enjoyed his time so much, he engaged in backstage table tennis matches and even teamed up with Afrojack for an exclusive AFROKI set.

“I love you, Airbeat One,” said Dutch DJ Oliver Heldens, who performed both on the Mainstage and with his techno project HI-LO on the Arena Stage. Boris Brejcha, Deborah De Luca, and Amelie Lens brought techno to the Mainstage, with Lens celebrating her AIRBEAT ONE debut.

The Arena Stage featured top-tier international techno stars and rising talents like 999999999, Basswell, Eli Brown, I Hate Models, and Charlie Sparks. German techno powerhouses Lilly Palmer, Holy Priest, and Klangkuenstler were among the absolute highlights.

At the Terminal tent, the energy was electrifying with performances by local hero KXXMA from Schwerin and Stuttgart’s top DJ Le Shuuk. German acts like VIZE, Gestört aber GeiL, BigTim, Die Gebrüder Brett, and Cascada added domestic flavor, while B-Jones and STBAN brought Spanish vibes to the lineup.

In the VIP Camping Village, the Butterfly Stage delivered nostalgic classics by Quicksilver, Da Hool, Special D., and Groove Coverage. A crowd favorite each night was the “Mallorca Power Hour,” featuring island stars like Mia Julia, Isi Glück, and Frenzy, from 10:00 to 11:00 p.m.

Fans of harder styles were not left out, with acts like Angerfist, Da Tweekaz, Dr. Peacock, Jebroer, Miss K8, Ran-D, Sickmode, Sub Zero Project, and Lil Texas shaking the grounds. Brennan Heart, the genre’s biggest star, made history as the first Hardstyle artist to close the Mainstage on Friday night.

The Second Stage, presented by the Indian Spirit Festival, once again showcased the best in Goa and PsyTrance. This year, it also became a platform for Trance superstars. A major highlight: Paul van Dyk’s set, where the legendary German Trance icon premiered his new track “Power.”

On Saturday night at 1:30 a.m., a massive fireworks display lit up the Mecklenburg skies in red and yellow, followed by a phenomenal closing set by Dutch DJ superstar Armin van Buuren. Neustadt-Glewe and the surrounding region welcomed electronic music fans from around the world with open arms.

On Thursday, over 2,000 locals attended the AIRBEAT ONE Opening Night free of charge, as they do each year. Even Manuela Schwesig, Minister-President of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, didn’t miss the festival and visited on Saturday. Once again, it was a peaceful event, defined by joyful and respectful interaction between guests, staff, and authorities.

The early check-in for campers on Tuesday and the repositioning of the North Camping area and Parking Lot P4, introduced last year, proved highly successful. Over 7,000 campers had already pitched their tents by Tuesday – and there was zero traffic congestion during arrivals. The expansion of the Wednesday Pre-Opening Party across four stages (Arena, Terminal, Second, and Butterfly) was also met with huge enthusiasm.

The grand finale not only included fireworks but also the reveal of next year’s theme and date. The 23rd edition will take place from July 9 to 12, 2026, and transport visitors to the Netherlands – the birthplace of many DJ megastars and a true festival nation.

AIRBEAT ONE is a subsidiary of DEAG Deutsche Entertainment AG, with myticket.de as the exclusive ticketing partner.
