Claude VonStroke Announces “Wrong Number” International Tour

Claude VonStroke

Claude VonStroke is officially dialing a new number. This spring, the house music icon launches the Wrong Number International Tour, a run of intimate shows across Japan and Europe that marks the first public chapter of his forthcoming Wrong Number era.

More than 20 years into his career, Claude has made a habit of doing things slightly sideways. Instead of announcing the album with a giant festival run or headline-grabbing residency, he’s chosen the opposite approach: small rooms, tight dancefloors, and communities that still believe underground music is meant to be experienced up close.

There are no Vegas residencies. No giant main stages engineered for spectacle. Just carefully selected venues known for sound, intimacy, and late-night energy.

The Wrong Number philosophy is simple: what feels wrong for the moment is often exactly right. While much of dance music continues to scale upward, Claude is scaling down. Turning down larger offers in favor of rooms that hold 300 to 800 people – spaces where the crowd isn’t separated by velvet ropes and the DJ booth isn’t elevated like a throne.

One can imagine him alone in the studio obsessing over drum patterns like it’s still 2004 – and now choosing venues with the same mindset. Quality over optics. Groove over fireworks. Connection over hype.

The tour begins April 3 in Tokyo before moving through Prague, Berlin, Geneva, Amsterdam, and a focused UK run, wrapping in Oslo and Cologne. Each date acts as a preview of the forthcoming Wrong Number album – a body of work rooted in minimalism, crooked grooves, and late-night tension rather than peak-time theatrics.

Claude VonStroke may be dialing the wrong number for right now. But if you pick up, you’ll hear where this next chapter is headed.
