After last year’s fantastic Sound | Escape Festival, Kitzbühel Tourism return with Sound | Escape 2026, running from Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd March 2026, bringing together some of the greatest international DJs alongside Austria’s finest electronic artists.
While most Alpine music festivals come with a hefty price tag, Sound | Escape is completely free to attend — with only the reduced cost of the mountain lift pass required. So if you’re looking to hit the slopes and experience top-tier electronic music, Kitzbühel — one of the most stylish and beautiful towns in the Alps — is the place to be this March.
And it doesn’t stop there. Whilst this boutique festival is hosted by the Kitzbühel community, the whole world is welcome, so come and see this Alpine paradise for yourself. You don’t have to have skis or a snowboard to access Sound | Escape either, as foot passengers can bag a daily gondola pass for only €20*.

Jan Blomqvist headlined in 2024 and Sven Väth in 2025, making it clear that Kitzbühel Tourism know how to curate a lineup. Claptone is set to play in 2026, after being one of the standout live acts in Ibiza and across the global circuit last year, known for his high-energy performances and instantly recognizable gold Venetian mask.
Joining him are Scotland’s Kilimanjaro, Brazil’s Joyce Muniz, and Austrian artists Marvin Aloys, Steve Hope and Wolfram — an undeniably strong and diverse lineup.

After two successful editions, Sound | Escape enters its third round – with a further refined concept. Dr. Viktoria Veider-Walser, Managing Director of Kitzbühel Tourism, sees great potential in its continued growth:

Most of the venues are within easy walking distance from the gondola stations. When the mountain sessions wrap up each day, you can head back down into the valley and continue your Sound | Escape journey into the evening, making the most of everything Kitzbühel has to offer.
