Hi MANSA, thanks for speaking with us! Can you introduce yourself to our readers and share a bit about your background?

Thanks for having me! I’m MANSA, a DJ and producer creating emotional, high-energy electronic music. My journey has been about finding a sound that feels authentic to me while still connecting with people on the dancefloor.

You recently broke through with your viral hit “Midnight On My Mind.” How did that moment come together?

Honestly, it happened very naturally. I made the track without any expectations, just focusing on the feeling behind it. When it started gaining traction, it was pretty surreal. Seeing people connect with it like that is something every artist hopes for.

Your new release “Car Crash” is out now. What kind of energy does this track bring?

“Car Crash” is definitely more intense. It still has that emotional core, but there’s a darker and more powerful edge to it. It’s designed to hit harder, especially in a live setting.

Do you enjoy performing live more, or being in the studio producing?

It’s tough to choose. The studio is where everything begins, where you build the idea and shape the sound. But performing is a completely different feeling. That connection with the crowd, seeing people react in real time—that’s something special.

You’ve experienced different scenes globally—how does Southeast Asia compare?

Southeast Asia is amazing. The energy there is on another level. The crowds are super engaged and open-minded, and there’s this excitement that really stands out compared to other places.

We’re seeing more female DJs on lineups worldwide. Has that shift impacted your journey?

Definitely. It’s inspiring to see more women getting the recognition they deserve. It’s opened doors and created more space in the industry, which is something that benefits everyone. Being part of that movement is really motivating.

What’s next for you? What should fans expect?

There’s a lot coming—new music, new releases, and more shows. I’m focused on building my sound and taking things to the next level, so there’s definitely more on the way.

From a viral breakthrough to a heavier follow-up, MANSA is already showing range. With more music and shows ahead, it’s clear she’s focused on building her own sound rather than following trends—and that’s exactly what makes this next run worth watching.
