Escape Halloween has unveiled the lineup for 2024 edition

Escape Halloween, the world’s largest Halloween music festival, has unveiled the lineup for its spine-chilling 13th edition. Returning to the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino, CA Friday, October 25 and Saturday, October 26, Insomniac has curated an eerily expansive lineup of over 80 artists across 5+ immersive stages of frightful fun.

Demonstrating the festival’s sinister curational prowess, this year’s lineup features adrenaline pumping sets from the likes of dance music superstars Afroki (Afrojack B2B Steve Aoki), stadium-filling superstar Illenium, a rare North American festival appearance from dance mainstay Martin Garrix, pioneering dance producer deadmau5, legendary UK export Fatboy Slim, and hip-hop icon Ludacris.

Heavier sonics are represented by the likes of notorious man in the mask Angerfist, the rowdy Dog Eat Dog project from Crankdat B2B Riot Ten, bass-heavy fan favorite Alison Wonderland, melodic bass maestro Seven Lions, experimental left-field bass producer PEEKABOO, and the melodic meets dubstep and riddim stylings of Wooli.

The lineup depth pushes into house and techno frequencies including techno visionary Nina Kraviz, revered Berghain duo Ben Klock B2B Marcel Dettmann, tech house sensation PAWSA, Hellbent Records boss Cloonee, and eclectic rising star Chloé Caillet.

Additional highlights include British four to the floor selector James Hype, Italy’s largest global streaming artists MEDUZA, prolific clubland favorites Denis Sulta and Dennis Cruz, plus the high energy hard hitting techno of Patrick Mason.

Soundtracked by bone-rattling beats and monstrous drops, Escape Halloween will feature groundbreaking stage designs, plunging festival-goers into a nightmarish world of horrific delights. This year, Insomniac stage hosts include its influential bass heavy brand Bassrush, its leading underground techno brand Factory 93, its epicenter of hard dance Basscon, and a collaborative effort between the Night Trip x InsomniacRecords brands.

The world of Escape Halloween is vast and immersive. Headliners, the term Insomniac uses to refer to its festival attendees, can dance among Escape‘s roaming performers, the Ringmaster’s Troupe, a host of formidable characters who haunt the grounds.

Art can be found around every corner, from three-dimensional superstructures, to glow-in-the-dark environments, and technological feats of light, sound, and fire. At the very heart of Escape Halloween lies Crazy Town, an enigmatic space inhabited by mysterious characters and supernatural forces. Headliners can grab an enchanted drink at Poison Ivy, do some light grocery shopping at The Butcher, or sit for a spell and watch the interactive shows at the Fire Organ.

RÜFÜS DU SOL Release Ethereal New Single ‘Lately’

Grammy-winning live electronic trio RÜFÜS DU SOL have shared their ethereal new single “Lately” via Rose Avenue/Warner Records.

The follow up to the group’s latest single “Music is Better,” “Lately” sees the band continue to roll out their first new music since their 2021 Grammy-nominated album, Surrender.

“Lately” lends itself to RÜFÜS’ indie inclinations, balancing the club rhythms, intricate sound design, and heartfelt songwriting that continues to soundtrack the highs and lows of their fans’ most pivotal life moments.

“Lately“‘s lyrics explore a deep sentiment of interpersonal devotion and self discovery, an approachable lore for anyone who has fallen in or out of love – a common string throughout the euphoric RÜFÜS universe. Tyrone Lindqvist from the band calls out on the track with a sense of admiration, “It feels like I’m learning how to love again”. “Lately” captures the warm yet artful dynamics that have set them apart as innovators for over a decade.

The single arrives with an official music video, filmed in black and white and directed by Alex George, that illustrates the band’s artistry and sophisticated vision. “Lately” is another window into the band’s new creative groove, an era that is defined by enjoying the process and creating from the now while binding organic and electronic.

To celebrate the new single, band members Jon George and James Hunt performed a unique ‘in the round’ DJ set at The Cause in London on August 1, joined by Jimi Jules, which sold-out instantly.

“Lately” arrives ahead of RÜFÜS DU SOL‘s only live show this year, headlining Portola Festival in San Francisco on September 28.

Gryffin Releases Highly Anticipated Third Studio Album PULSE

Dance music maverick Gryffin has unveiled his highly anticipated third studio album PULSE out now via Virgin Music. The 14-track album features previously released singles ‘LAST OF US’ with Rita Ora, ‘WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG’ with Armin van Buuren, ‘MAGIC’, ‘MAGNET’ with Disco Fries and MAX, and ‘DANCE THROUGH THE NIGHT’ with Whethan and Norma Jean Martine.

Inspired by his early-mid 2000s roots, PULSE triumphs as an ode to electronic music’s golden era, capturing a kaleidoscopic medley of progressive house, melodic techno, drum & bass, deep tech, trance, and the various sub-genres that exist between.

While emulating the lyrically-led nature of his previous albums Gravity and Alive, PULSE strikes a different tone with upbeat rhythms and elevated synthwork. The album is crafted around the ebb and flow of the dance floor as an embodiment of where the music is meant to be heard.

It embraces the collective energy and interpersonal spirit found throughout electronic music. Envisioned for audiences of both his pop leaning collabs and the more rave curious, PULSE is a shot of adrenaline that draws from Gryffin‘s early experiences in the electronic underground.

“My third album, PULSE, is a tribute to all of the electronic influences that turned me into the artist I am today. It’s the most energetic and cohesive body of work I’ve ever put out. I definitely pushed myself outside of my comfort zone as an artist and delivered something that brought a whole new perspective to my style of music.

I experimented with a bunch of different sub genres within dance music like techno and drum and bass. This album is a testament to dance music culture and highlights how versatile this genre is. PULSE reminds me of why I fell in love with dance music in the first place. I’ve never had so much fun making an album, so stoked for all of you to listen.” 

PULSE sees Gryffin experiment more freely throughout the dance music ecosystem than ever before, with fast-paced tempos on tracks like ‘FALLING TO PIECES‘ and ‘ON THE LINE‘, and expansive builds on songs like ‘SONAR HEART‘ and ‘DANCE THROUGH THE NIGHT‘.

Following its lauded flagship celebration in Mannheim, foremost electronic music institution Time Warp unveils its 30-year anniversary celebration in New York, in partnership with longstanding partner and events collective Teksupport. Taking place 22-23 November, the event will see 21 artists perform over 2 nights across 2 floors of Brooklyn Navy Yard.

A pillar of the global techno community for 30 years, Time Warp‘s cultural significance expands far beyond its roots in Mannheim. Its peerless fusion of cutting edge production, dynamic programming, and immersive audio/visuals set a global standard for world-class electronic event experiences.

Time Warp has built itself around a legacy of family, a refrain repeated again and again both within the community of artists that have grown central to the event, and the tens of thousands of fans who make the pilgrimage to Mannheim every year.

In line with Time Warp‘s customarily deft approach to sonic curation, the New York celebration will see both new and established members of the Time Warp family perform.
