ARTBAT Enlist Trance Pioneer Armin van Buuren for Debut Collab ‘Take Off’

Sparked by a chat backstage at Armin van Buuren’s flagship trance festival A State of Trance Festival back in 2023, electronic music powerhouse duo ARTBAT have teamed up with the trance pioneer for a trance-meets-techno collaboration: ‘Take Off’, released today on Armada Music.

Merging the pulsating bassline and rolling rhythm, characteristic of an ARTBAT production, with Armin van Buuren‘s signature trance builds, melodic chords and driving bass, ‘Take Off‘ skillfully infuses the Ukrainian pair’s distinctive output with the Dutchman’s expertise, resulting in a fresh and dynamic cross-genre debut linkup.

“Collaborating with Armin van Buuren, who is such a legend in the dance game, has been really special,” ARTBAT say.

“We can’t believe this collaboration hasn’t happened before now and we’re very happy that Armin asked us to do a collaboration, which has brought something so special to our sound. Now, Damian Lazarus has announced the full lineup for Get Lost Mexico City, making its highly anticipated debut in the Mexican capital on Saturday, March 16th.

Spawned as a 300 person, WMC after-hours party in Miami, Get Lost has since expanded into a globally renowned music project, spreading to three continents and selling out 10,000 capacity venues.

Get Lost‘s fully immersive sensory wonderland and taste-making approach to lineup curation has established itself as a global beacon for forward-thinking attendees in search of the unconventional.

Get Lost Mexico City 2024 lineup

Fostering mind bending moments that create community and peak experiences on the dance floor, Get Lost Mexico City will immerse attendees in three wildly stimulating areas for a 12+ hour extravaganza at a special open-air venue.

With a pioneering approach to lineup curation, Damian Lazarus will be joined at Mexico City’s marathon Get Lost experience by Berlin’s infectious Patrick Mason, Parisian icon Chloé Caillet, Tel Aviv multi-instrumentalist duo Red Axes, and flamenco electronica duo Mëstiza.

As a continuation of Damian’s dedication to shining a light on the lesser known and avant-garde movement leaders, the stacked billing continues with Tulum staple Lum, Brooklyn’s Tony y Not, Crosstown kin Tibi Dabo, Tel Aviv’s Saraga, Caribbean inspired Cali Lanauze, Dragana, UK heavyweight Cameron Jack and MARICAS co-founder Isabella.

Without skipping a beat, WhoMadeWho continues their early-year momentum with the release of another sonically engrossing single, “Love Will Save Me” alongside GRAMMY-nominated artist and producer, RY X.

The five-minute cut marks the third single off their upcoming studio album coming in May after their current global live tour. The critically acclaimed bands’ latest offers a stripped-back slice of indie electronic bliss, pushed forward by RY X’s emotive chorus. “Love Will Save Me” is out now via The Moment.

Their last single, “Children,” became an instant hit, receiving accolades from influential figures such as Pete Tong (BBC Radio 1), who named it his “Essential Tune.”

The track garnered support from various tastemakers across platforms like Amazing Radio, Indie Shuffle, Danceland Italia, Ibiza Sonica, Mixmag Mexico, and more. Building upon the success of “Children,” WhoMadeWho continues to tease LP #9 with another taste of the tracklist.

“Creating this song was magic and almost too easy. The basics were made in split seconds, with quite a lot of vocal parts from our side. Ry then cut it down to two lines, wrote the verses, and added some beautiful harmonies to the chorus. And boom it was done. Wish all music was so easy and fun to make.

It was a huge honor to meet Ry X in his home in California and to get to work with him. ‘Love Will Save Me’ ended up as a unified manifest of our common love of music. Materializing the beauty of working together in a world full of intensifying division.”

“Love Will Save Me” draws upon WhoMadeWho’s indie electronic roots, presenting a melodious platter of blissed-out sounds. The track features Australian singer/songwriter RY X, whose distinctly haunting vocals and touching acoustics add an extra layer of depth to the track.

Multi-disciplinary artist Anyma (aka Matteo Milleri; one half of electronic duo Tale Of Us and co-owner of Afterlife Records), has released his brand-new single ‘Pictures Of You’.

The track showcases Anyma‘s unique ability to push boundaries both audio and visual – collaborating with digital and multimedia visual artist Tobias Gremmler on an extraordinary new visual.

Anyma debuted the song with these new visuals this past autumn during his set at the recent sold-out Afterlife show in Los Angeles. ‘Pictures Of You‘ is available now via Afterlife/Polydor Records.

Swiss electronic duo Adriatique have enlisted Italian producer/DJ Undercatt for their new two-track Horizon EP out now via X Recordings.

Riddled with the enigmatic dark techno sounds that have cultivated a mystique around Adriatique, Horizon is a stunning two-piece collaboration from the duo and Undercatt.

The EP’s titular track takes listeners on an elusive 6-minute journey through transcendent builds and swirling melodies while its companion, ‘Vera‘ is complemented with galactic deep-tech tones. Horizon marks the second release off Adriatique‘s newly minted X Recordings.

Zürich creatives Adrian Shala and Adrian Schweizer have distinguished themselves with their forward-thinking sound and pioneering artistry. In 2023, Adriatique soared to new heights with their collaborative singles ‘Miracle‘ with WhoMadeWho, which also received an official remix from RÜFÜS DU SOL, and ‘With You‘ with Gordo, before launching their new imprint X Recordings with ‘The Future Is Unknown‘. Horizon arrives ahead of Adriatique‘s upcoming US festival performances at Ultra and Coachella.

Tuscan native Elia Crecchi has become one of electronic’s most exciting sounds as Undercatt. Encompassing melodic electronica and atmospheric techno styles, his sound has landed his releases on labels like Solomun‘s Diynamic, Atlant, and Notturna, and led to performances at international top stages like Ibiza’s DC-10, Paris’ Rex Club, and Barcelona’s Input.
