Two decades after label founder Damian Lazarus first booked him to play in the UK, American electronic icon Claude VonStroke finally lands on Crosstown Rebels with the Noche Clara EP – a release that bridges friendship, history, and the enduring spirit of the global underground.
Built around hazy tones, captivating synth melodies, and sweeping atmospherics, the title track, “Noche Clara,” captures the playful minimalism and late-night atmosphere that defined his early work.
On the flip, “Bam Bam,” a collaboration with beatboxer, producer, DJ, and instrumentalist Honeycomb, layers warped vocals over trippy off-kilter sonics and a tunneling, hypnotic groove – providing a haunting and commanding deep dive into the late-night hours.

Here’s what VonStroke had to say about the release:
“I promised Damian I would make a Crosstown Rebels release over ten years ago, and it’s finally happened. He was one of the first people to ever book me in the UK twenty years ago.
He’s come to play my festival, remixed one of my biggest tracks, and I’m somewhat obsessed with Lazpod.
This release is a throwback and a new beginning at the same time.”
A true maverick of modern dance music, Claude VonStroke has spent over two decades shaping the sound and culture of house. From founding the iconic Dirtybird label — home to artists like Fisher, Eats Everything, and Catz ‘n Dogz — to headlining the world’s most respected clubs and festivals, his legacy is built on connection, humor, and an unfiltered love of the dancefloor.
Now exploring more underground and experimental sounds, VonStroke is entering a new creative chapter ahead of his forthcoming artist album in early 2026 – a shift perfectly exemplified by this impressive debut on Crosstown.

Speaking about the EP, Claude Vonstroke added:
“My wife and I were in Europe last summer on Lake Annecy and the idea for the A-side ‘Noche Clara’ came to me while we strolled along the lakeside under the French Alps, staring up at the big open sky.
The B-side is kind of a wacky A&R tale where Honeycomb and I played the same private party in the desert and I heard a specific loop during his set (his sets are created from scratch live).
I asked him afterwards if he recorded the set and could send me the parts to that one specific loop at a specific timestamp. He found it and we made the entire Bam Bam track from that tiny little section that just grooved exactly right.
This whole release is a throwback and a new beginning at the same time. I love minimal house from the early 2000s. My first record was a fun minimal record called ‘Deep Throat’ and my favorite label is Playhouse (now defunct). I’m headed back in this direction and this two-tracker really fits the bill – with maybe a little bit more modern production than those days.”
Claude VonStroke ‘Noche Clara’ is out now via Crosstown Rebels.
