EAZYBAKED Close Out a Breakthrough Year With New Album “The Antennae”

Closing out a breakthrough year of career milestones and unapologetic creative freedom, EAZYBAKED return with their next album, The Antennae – a collection of personal tracks and collaborations that perfectly captures the many dynamic layers of the duo’s project.

Less a conceptual project and more a moment of reflection, The Antennae serves as a musical collage – stitching together moments, memories, and creative sparks gathered from a year in motion.

The record features their recent standout single “CODED” (with Digital Ethos), a newly reimagined version of “WYAWYS” (with Daggz), and their latest release “BRAKES” (with Snuffy), alongside new downtempo-leaning, headphone-driven pieces that drift between nostalgia and renewal.

The LP also features collaborations with Ooga, RANZ, and TieDye Ky, creating a cohesive year-end collection that reflects the duo’s growing tight-knit community and their artistic evolution over the course of 2025.

Bringing the project full circle, EAZYBAKED ties the album together with their very own hand-drawn collage artwork – filled with sentimental pieces that speak to the project’s ethos – alongside film photography that reinforces its collaborative nature.

EAZYBAKED The Antennae
EAZYBAKED The Antennae album

Arriving on the heels of a standout year that included headline sets at premier U.S. venues including Mission Ballroom, Ramova Theatre, and Realm – and coveted direct support slots for tastemakers Zeds Dead, Subtronics, and Of The TreesThe Antennae lands just before high profile year-end stops at The Shrine, The Armory, and a hometown festival return to Orlando for Eternal NYE.

A marker in EAZYBAKED’s timeline, The Antennae channels the energy of their ongoing story, the friendships that shaped their sound, and the freedom that continues to guide their evolution forward.

Here’s what EAZYBAKED had to say about the album:

“This album came to fruition just a few months ago, which feels wild because our first LP took two years to build. We didn’t set out to make another album – we were planning a collab project at first – but as the year unfolded, we kept writing ideas that all felt like they lived under the same roof.

2025 was the biggest year for EAZYBAKED yet. We played the biggest shows of our careers, released more music than we did last year, learned so much about ourselves, and refined our vision. It only felt right to cap the year with something more meaningful – a second LP that captures everything this year meant to us.

‘The Antennae’ is a recap of our year – a collection of music and moments, a bunch of fat beats, collaborations with our best friends, and a whole lot of love. We’re done overthinking. We just wanted to share this music because now feels like the right time.”

Speaking about the return to the UK, Space Ibiza‘s Juan said:

“In the early days of Ibiza the British were so important in laying the foundations for the dance music scene on the Island. Throughout the years at Space, they always brought such a special energy to our dance floor and so we love to come back to the UK whenever we can and especially London with its musical history.

We are so happy that we will be there on NYE with some old favorites like Booka Shade and James Zabiela as well as lots of London legends like Brockie, Det and Matt Jam Lamont… it’s going to be a great party!”

The event will run from 4pm to 5am, with music across all arenas from 6pm. The covered courtyard will operate until 10pm, and an official afterparty will be announced. VIP tickets include a champagne reception, fast-track entry, backstage mezzanine access and a Space Ibiza merchandise package.

Eutopia Warehouse, which opened this year following a £1.5 million redevelopment, spans three interlinked industrial spaces equipped with d&b Audiotechnik sound, modular stage design and large-scale lighting and visual installations.

It is the perfect place for Space Ibiza‘s NYE homecoming and an unmissable one-off night of White Isle-infused hedonism.

Caprices Festival 2026 Unveils New Location, Stages and Phase 1 for Winter Edition

After 23 editions in the Crans-Montana, Switzerland’s premiere mountaintop festival Caprices has announced that its flagship winter edition will now take place in Eggli, Gstaad.

The move marks a considered new chapter, introducing new stages, and a refined production setup that utilizes existing structures to enhance both sound, comfort, continuity, and experience. Perched high above the slopes, Eggli offers a spectacular 360° panoramic view of the Swiss Alps, where breathtaking nature meets cutting-edge electronic music.

The shift to Gstaad represents evolution – after more than two decades shaping the blueprint for mountain festivals worldwide, Caprices now enters a refreshed chapter that expands what the event can offer – deeper integration with the landscape, improved protection from the elements, and new creative opportunities for staging and design – whilst the region itself offers stunning natural beauty, 201km of slopes, husky sled, hiking, biking, and more.

This transition captures a rare balance between legacy and renewal, and at its core the festival remains defined by the same values that have sustained it for over 20 years: meticulous curation, world-class sound and a community of music lovers spanning over 75 countries.

A refined access system sees gondolas now operate continuously from midday until 4AM, and a swift seven-minute journey to the summit. At the top, the Eggli site allows for the development of three distinct glasshouse stages, each with its own unique character.

The Peak Stage is dedicated to large-scale shows with breathtaking alpine views; the CNTRL Stage will offer a more intimate setting designed for longer sets and exclusive back-to-backs, and the Ridge Stage will explore more experimental sounds and immersive concepts.

Across all stages, the scenography, light design, mapping and installations will continue Caprices’ reputation for exceptional production standards.

From Mosh Pits to Main Stages: 10 EDM Giants with Heavy Metal Roots

skrillex

The divide between the headbangers at a metal show and the ravers at a festival is often smaller than it appears. Both cultures thrive on high-energy release, aggression, and the physical impact of sound—whether it’s a breakdown or a bass drop.

It turns out that the sonic intensity of modern bass music is often engineered by musicians who cut their teeth in garage bands, screaming into microphones or blasting on drum kits. Some of the world’s most successful electronic producers are, at heart, metalheads.

Here are 10 major EDM artists who secretly (and sometimes not-so-secretly) worship the heavy metal underground.

1. Skrillex

  • Metal Role: Vocalist
  • The Band: From First to Last

It is the definitive crossover story of the century. Before Sonny Moore transformed into the dubstep icon Skrillex, he was the frontman for the beloved post-hardcore outfit From First to Last.

His years spent screaming on the Vans Warped Tour didn’t just give him stage presence; they fundamentally shaped his sound design. Skrillex’s signature “growl” basses are often processed using formant filters that mimic the human throat, effectively replacing a metal scream with a synthesizer.

2. Steve Aoki

  • Metal Role: Vocalist / Guitarist
  • The Band: This Machine Kills

Long before he was throwing cakes and flying in private jets, Steve Aoki was a key figure in the California DIY hardcore punk scene. He ran his own indie label out of his apartment and played in a raw, political screamo band called This Machine Kills.

This background explains his chaotic performance style: for Aoki, technical DJing has always come second to the raw, visceral energy of a punk show, complete with stage dives and crowd surfing.

3. Sullivan King

  • Metal Role: Guitarist / Vocalist
  • The Style: Metal-Step

Keaton Prescott, known as Sullivan King, didn’t leave metal behind; he dragged it onto the main stage. He is unique in the scene for recording his own shredding guitar solos and death metal screams, layering them directly over dubstep drops.

His work highlights the rhythmic math that binds the genres: the half-time tempo of Dubstep (140 BPM) is identical to a metalcore breakdown, allowing him to switch between guitar chugs and synth wobbles seamlessly.

4. Pendulum (Rob Swire & Gareth McGrillen)

  • Metal Role: Bassist / Vocalist
  • The Band: Xygen

Before they conquered the world as Pendulum (and later Knife Party), founders Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen were staples of the Perth, Australia metal scene. They played together in a band called Xygen and only pivoted to electronic music after realizing that Drum & Bass could deliver the same aggression as metal. You can hear this DNA clearly in their discography – tracks like “Self vs. Self (feat. In Flames) are pure metal fusion.

5. Big Chocolate

  • Metal Role: Vocalist / One-Man Slam Machine
  • The Band: Disfiguring the Goddess

Cameron Argon, known electronically as Big Chocolate, is perhaps the most “extreme” entry on this list. While he produces heavy dubstep, he is a legend in the brutal death metal scene for his project Disfiguring the Goddess.

He is a pioneer of the “Slam” metal subgenre and even served as the vocalist for the Russian band Abominable Putridity. He doesn’t just sample metal; he actively produces some of the heaviest guttural vocals in the scene.

6. Borgore

  • Metal Role: Drummer
  • The Band: Shabira

Asaf Borger coined the term “Gorestep” to describe his filthy, heavy style. But before he was rapping and producing dirty basslines, he was the drummer for the Israeli deathcore band Shabira.

If you analyze his production, you’ll notice his drum programming often ignores standard dance beats in favor of patterns that resemble double-kick drumming and blast beats, betraying his background behind the kit and metal production influences.

7. Zedd

  • Metal Role: Drummer
  • The Band: Dioramic

Best known for radio-pop smashes like “The Middle, Zedd’s musical upbringing was shockingly technical. He was the drummer for the German progressive metalcore band Dioramic, where he played intricate, polyrhythmic patterns similar to Meshuggah.

This technical proficiency is why his mixes are so surgically clean. He even produced an official remix for the Djent pioneers Periphery (Icarus Lives), proving he still keeps a foot in the prog-metal world.

8. Bassnectar

  • Metal Role: Guitarist
  • The Band: Pale Existence

Long before he was the “Bass God” filling arenas, Lorin Ashton was a death metal guitarist in the Bay Area underground. In the 90s, he played in a band called Pale Existence. They were legitimate enough to release a split 7″ vinyl with the legendary goregrind band Exhumed on 625 Productions. The wall-of-sound distortion and grinding textures in his electronic tracks are direct descendants of his death metal days.

9. Noisia

  • Metal Role: The “Neuro” Architects
  • The Connection: Korn & DmC

The Dutch trio Noisia are widely considered the best sound designers in the game. While not touring band members, their production style in the “Neurofunk” genre is heavily indebted to industrial metal.

They were hand-picked to produce the soundtrack for the “Devil May Cry reboot due to their aggressive sound, and they were the primary engineers behind Korn’s dubstep album The Path of Totality.

10. Seven Lions

  • Metal Role: The Progressive Snob
  • The Obsession: Opeth

Jeff Montalvo (Seven Lions) brings the “epic” atmosphere of metal to EDM. A die-hard fan of Swedish progressive metal band Opeth, Montalvo structures his dubstep tracks like metal opuses—featuring acoustic interludes, fantasy lyrics, and shifting time signatures.

His music captures the “Beauty and the Beast” dynamic often found in gothic metal, alternating between ethereal vocals and crushing, distorted drops.

Opal Drums Ignite the Scene with ‘Sarsen Cinema Remixed’ EP

Opal Drums

Following the release of their debut EP ‘Sarsen Cinema,’ Opal Drums, the collaborative project from UK turntablist/producer Jon1st and Denver-based electronic artist Mux Mool, now present Sarsen Cinema Remixed, a collection that reimagines their debut EP through the lens of a diverse group of forward-thinking producers.

Where the original ‘Sarsen Cinema’ EP explored the duo’s fascination with sonic world-building, conjuring an atmosphere of colossal, breathing monoliths whose presence evokes awe, fear, and revelation, the remix collection expands that universe into new emotional and kinetic territories.

Each artist brings their own mythology to the world of Opal Drums, refracting the EP’s themes through distinct rhythmic languages and sound palettes.

Opal Drums -Sarsen Cinema Remixed EP
Opal Drums – Sarsen Cinema Remixed EP

DMVU transforms “Runes” into a towering, sub-heavy incantation, exuding a prismatic, shape-shifting bass experience. Pounding 808s, mutated percussion, and glistening high-end detail evoke a feeling that the monoliths themselves are pulsing with coded messages. DMVU’s rework heightens the tension of the source material, pushing its mythic energy into a brighter territory.

Arcane expands “From The Grove” into a lush, smoke-lit 160bpm soundscape, blending its organic rhythmic roots with a deep reese bass and atmospheric weight. Arcane’s remix feels both grounded and otherworldly, widening the track’s emotional arc while maintaining its sense of curiosity and spiritual searching.

Anna Morgan delivers a lush 170bpm jungle reimagining of “Ultraviolet” that feels both ghostly and electrically alive. Her take pushes the track into a ‘haunted’, high-frequency dimension, where glitching breaks and whispered atmospherics flicker like ultraviolet signals from another realm.

Sinistarr rewires “Sunset Hex” into a futuristic, percussive territory, reverberating with hypnotic tension, a rhythmic architecture and sub bass pressure. With its sharp, agile motion the remix captures the exhilaration of approaching an unknown force.

Nikes delivers a sub heavy footwork remix to the collection with his interpretation of “Sarsen Cinema” that is as uplifting and warm as it is raw and intense. Its warm bridges and hypnotic use of the original’s vocal chop hook evoke a reflective nocturnal journey balancing cinematic progression with dreamy percussion.

Frythm & Seyaa close the collection by offering a glowing, meditative reinterpretation of “Sarsen Cinema” rich with melodic texture and mesmerizing ambience. Featuring an original vocal by Seyaa, their remix leans into emotional resonance and organic fluidity, creating an almost ceremonial presence.

Much like the original EP, the remixes explore themes of uncertainty, transformation, and perception filtered through the imaginations of artists who each bring their own histories, techniques, and worlds.

The remixes mark the next evolution of the Opal Drums universe, expanding its scope and hinting at future transmissions to come in 2026 and beyond.

Chris Giuliano teams up with Taber to release “out alive – club mix”

Chris Giuliano

LA-born-and-raised producer/DJ Chris Giuliano teams up with longtime collaborator and acclaimed indie songwriter Taber to release “out alive – club mix” – a dark, melodic techno-driven rework of their upcoming single arriving on the day of Chris’s performance at Insomniac’s Dreamstate SoCal.

Designed for peak club moments and euphoric festival stages, the Club Mix blends techno tension, atmospheric vocals, and progressive, club-ready beats for fans of Anyma and Massano alike.

A driving evolution of the original, “out alive – club mix” amplifies the emotional grit of Taber’s vocal delivery while pushing Giuliano’s genre-agnostic sound into heavier, late-night territory. Pulsating basslines, hypnotic synths, and cinematic breakdowns create a gripping melodic techno landscape built for maximum dancefloor impact.

Chris shares, “‘Out Alive,’ aligning with my Dreamstate SoCal performance, bridges the emotional depth of indie songwriting with the massive melodic techno elements. Written with my longtime collaborators Taber and Behr, the track blends raw vocals and dancefloor energy.”

A rising force in the global electronic scene, Chris Giuliano has built a reputation for emotionally rich, technically precise production, earning support across Anjunabeats, Armada, and Insomniac while performing at flagship venues including Exchange LA, Academy LA, and festivals across the West Coast.

Following a brief release-focused reset, Chris returns with a renewed identity, exploring melodic techno, progressive house, and genre-blending club records that highlight his evolution as both a producer and songwriter.

With the Club Mix’s release strategically aligned with his Dreamstate SoCal 2025 appearance, Chris continues to expand his artistic universe bridging the emotion of songwriting with the high-voltage energy of modern techno and progressive club music.

The track marks a bold step forward in Chris Giuliano’s evolution, signaling a new era of melodic power, dancefloor depth, and genre-fluid innovation.

Danny Avila adds, “I’ve always wanted to collab with Eli and I think this song is the perfect mix between us and our styles. SACHA sounds incredible on the song and I can’t wait for this to be out!!”

SACHA comments, “These lyrics are basically about female empowerment. Gaining control over a situation, and about a girl that knows that her potential lover wants her but is with somebody else who she can just tell doesn’t hold up…. so she is just getting to the point…. She’s Gotta Go. She’s being a fierce, confident, blunt, and commanding woman.”

These improvements will roll out across all stages, facilities and audience areas and underpin Terminal V‘s continued rise as one of Europe’s leading large-scale electronic music festivals.

The changes include every stage being fully upgraded and redesigned, new PA systems and advanced speaker setups for a radically improved sound experience and collaborations with a leading global sound partner to deliver the most precise Terminal V audio yet.

There will also be a welcome return of the beloved Area V stage in its original format, plus five additional, newly developed stages for deeper immersion and scale as well as brand-new chillout zones and expanded indoor and outdoor seating.

There will also be a significantly widened food offering with options for all budgets plus vegan and dietary-friendly vendors, double the number of toilets with upgraded cleaning teams operating continuously, the return of festival lockers, large-format venue maps and improved directional signage across all major routes, twice as many digital display towers providing live schedule updates and festival announcements, a full lighting review, enhanced walkway illumination for safer movement day and night and a redesigned VIP environment with capped capacity, upgraded viewing areas, faster service points and exclusive facilities for a next-level premium experience.

The 2026 site will be fully enclosed with reinforced perimeter fencing and newly installed overhanging SteelShield barriers. This major security upgrade eradicates fence-jumping and ensures a safer, fully protected festival environment for everyone.

Consistently ranked among DJ Mag’s Best Festivals in the World, Terminal V continues to evolve at a pace matched only by the scene itself, which is why 40,000 people from all over the world travel in numbers to the festival.

With two phases now revealed and one more still to come, the 2026 edition of Terminal V is set to be very special and unlike anything anyone has ever experienced before.
