Tomorrowland Music and Rampage are teaming up for an exciting collaborative EP

Tomorrowland Music and Rampage, the biggest drum & bass and dubstep party in the universe, are teaming up for an exciting collaborative EP, co-released through both imprints.

The 4-track EP is made up of a string of brand-new productions by some of drum & bass’ finest talents, including Macky Gee, AC13 & Leo Baby, Georgie Riot & KartyPartyy and Maze.

Just recently, Rampage hosted the mesmerizing Rose Garden stage during the two weekends of Tomorrowland‘s iconic 20-year anniversary edition LIFE.

Here’s what Macky Gee had to say about the release:

“This was inspired by a previous single, ‘Destiny’. When writing it, I realized it was similar in style and structure but a more up to date version, hence the choice of the name.”

Speaking about the release AC13 said:

“Leo Baby and I met at a tiny festival two summers ago in the UK. He was the first voice I heard emitting from the main tent, and I was instantly drawn to it. I watched his whole set and moments after he finished I had to go up to him and introduce myself. Very rarely do I hear someone live and instantly propose to collab, but we started chatting and realized: we live in the same city, we’re both born only days apart (Leo star signs!), and we were both about to move to the same city as well (Bristol).

We had so much in common and became such good friends that this collab formed in such a natural and beautiful manner. The track in itself amalgamates the feeling of the season changes, seeing someone you love less and your feelings changing like the seasons throughout the tracks progression.

I hold this track very dear to me as I was going through a tough time in a relationship that was long distance which has now sadly ended. Maybe subconsciously I wrote the track about this part of my life…”

Leo Baby added: “I met Jay (AC13) at a tiny festival in the English countryside. He saw me play and thought I had a great voice and got my details. It was then we discovered we both lived in Brighton (and were born a day apart!), so when we returned to Brighton we met up to have some drinks in the summer time.

Soon after he invited me to sing a chorus over a track he had produced. I sang it, and we wrote a verse & pre-chorus, and recorded it all. Then it was left. Five months later and he sends me the song again, but with a fresh track underneath. An entirely different arrangement. It was amazing, the song had new life, and it was just better!

Now it’s being released with Tomorrowland Music and we’re super excited about it. It’s a song about missing someone deeply, and the comfort their presence brings you and them.”

Georgie Riot: “I am based in the UK and Kartypartyy is based in Thailand, we decided to collaborate because we rate each other’s music. It shows that you can bring different parts of the world together through music.”

Kartypartyy: “I met Georgie Riot one night at a show in Belgium 3 years ago, and we instantly connected over our shared passion for music. I was inspired by her vibe, and I decided to make a song that I sent to her. She liked it, and that’s how we ended to collaborate. So music brought us together even though we are miles apart.”

Maze: “‘Roses‘ is a deeply personal and evocative track that dives into the complex emotions of love, betrayal, and self-discovery. The song captures the essence of someone who once seemed perfect, symbolized by the enchanting scent of a thousand roses, but whose fragrance has since faded. Written during a tumultuous period, the lyrics reflect a journey of vulnerability and the painful realization of being taken for granted.”

The Tomorrowland Music & Rampage EP is out now via all platforms.

Damian Lazarus Announces Complete Lineup for Day Zero 2025 in Tulum

In 2012, on the dawn of a new era commemorated by the end of the Mayan calendar, a tradition was born in the jungles of Tulum.

Tribes of party people from all corners of the earth set out to gather in a new way – bringing with them their own unique perspectives, all seeking an opportunity to reflect on the year past and renew a shared energy born from the collision of ancient and modern, creative and hedonistic.

The result was Day Zero, a party for the ages bred from the mind and team of Damian Lazarus. The party returns once again on January 11 with one its most astounding lineups to date, announced today.

Intertwining Mayan culture and natural wonders, Day Zero fuses the mythic and modern to create an alternate avantgarde universe nestled in the transcendental jungles of Tulum. Mind-bending production harnesses the mystic ambiance of the natural backdrop as laser beams pierce through lush canopies, immersive art installations spill throughout the grounds, and local Mayan guides perform traditional rituals throughout the night in homage to the ancient cultures the festival celebrates.

Day Zero 2025
Day Zero 2025 lineup

A true testament to the curatorial genius of founder Damian Lazarus, Day Zero is soundtracked from sunset to sunrise by trailblazing tastemakers, forward-thinking selectors, and live acts found on the outer fringes and biggest stages of electronic music.

The lineup features the likes of formidable rave pioneer Fatboy Slim, Amapiano flag bearers Major League DJz, globally renowned club icon DJ Harvey, Berlin’s infectious Patrick Mason, All Day I Dream founder Lee Burridge, SCI + TEC label boss Dubfire, and NYC house legend Victor Calderone. The billing also features a very special guest, which will be revealed in the coming months.

The lineup continues with Turkish-Italian sensation Carlita, Maccabi House maestros Adam Ten and Mita Gami, flamenco electronica duo Mëstiza, eclectic icon Sonja Moonear, Italian artist Francesca Lombardo, Audiofly member Anthony Middleton, and Crosstown staple Bartolomeo.

With an unwavering commitment to spotlighting emerging talent and avantgarde tastemakers, Damian also invites UK heavyweight Cameron Jack, Parisian DJ and producer Salome le Chat, minimal master Priku, Tulum staple Lum, Crosstown regular Airrica, multi-instrumentalist DJ Cole Knight, and rising star Meera.

As the pioneering international festival in Mexico to feature a stage dedicated exclusively to Mexican artists, Day Zero will once again showcase a diverse lineup of innovative Mexican talent on the El Teatro stage.

The lineup for this underground stronghold beneath the jungle canopy includes a live performance from Akumandra label founder Sainte Vie, Calypso Cult regular Sabrina, CDMX’s MNTY, Sunday Sunday resident Rafatel, Monterrey’s Roderic (live), Discosis, and Secret Echoes (live), the Mexican supergroup signed by Crosstown Rebels comprised of Metrika, Estefani Brolo, and Balcazar. Sidartha Siliceo will purify the air during El Teatro’s opening ceremony for mesmerizing performances to follow.

Keeping with Day Zero tradition, Damian will of course take partygoers on a mind-melting sonic journey in the early hours of the morning. As a selector and producer, Damian has never been afraid of reinventing himself, and remains one of the most exciting DJs to bear witness to.

His disregard for the rules at play through genre-defying edits and reworks seamlessly showcase a storied dedication to musical history alongside dance floor sensibilities regarded by many as the work of pure magic.

Day Zero remains steadfast in its dedication to respecting the sacred grounds it occupies, working closely with the local community and Mayan spiritual leaders through its Crosstown Consciousness program.

Initiatives include turning plastic waste from production into fuel to power the festival in partnership with Mexican company Petgas, a partnership with UNESCO endorsed project SOS MARES to restore and clean coral reef barriers in Mexico and Colombia, funding a local children’s music school, organizing beach cleanups, and collaborating with local organizations to donate trees and reforest areas of Tulum.

Day Zero has established a profound sanctuary for electronic music enthusiasts, immersing attendees in a realm of enchantment, connection, ancient traditions, and cultural reverence. It’s an experience that transcends the ordinary, inviting you to see, hear, and feel its magic to truly appreciate its essence. As time passes, many imitator parties in Tulum have risen, but there is only one true Day Zero.

The track coincides with the second edition of the band’s label festival The Moment. The star-studded festival began in their hometown of Copenhagen, Denmark on August 7th and concludes now.

Heartless” showcases the unique synergy between WhoMadeWhos emotive, genre-blending style and Kölsch‘s masterful melodic techno production.

The track opens with a powerful yet calming kick and a pang of synth stabs that are unique to Kölsch‘s production style. Clocking in at over 4 minutes, “Heartless” steadily builds in energy, catapulting on an emotional odyssey that epitomizes both artists’ ability to create deeply moving electronic music.

WhoMadeWho & Kölsch – Heartless

Here’s what WhoMadeWho had to say:

“Big viking-vibes! Making music with Danish techno legend Kölsch was so easy. Sometimes music is hard to make and takes years to finish. This one was easy and fun and we are super excited about the result! We have a feeling this one is going to go well, we already started playing it in the sets, and even though no one heard it before, it already feels like a hit every time we play it”

The single arrives on the final day of their boutique festival, WhoMadeWho Presents: The Moment, which shares a name with the band’s label. The festival promotes connection and encourages guests to be present, remaining mindful of themselves and others.

The second edition of the festival features a wide range of celebrated names across electronic spaces, including Amémé, Blond:ish, Lovefoxy, LP Giobbi, Marcel Dettman, Mind Against, Patrick Mason, Tripolism, and of course, a hybrid set from the Danish trio themselves.

Speaking about the collaboration, Kölsch said:

“After 25 years of friendship, I’m excited that the moment was right for us to collaborate. It seems as if it was destined when we started working on Heartless. The song and production came together so effortlessly as if two parts had been apart. I’m super proud of the end result, and can’t wait to share it with the world.”

Kölsch, known for his poetic and deeply personal approach to techno, brings his signature melodic elements to “Heartless.” His recent album, ‘I Talk To Water,’ released on Kompakt, showcases his ability to create emotionally resonant electronic music, making him the perfect collaborator for this WhoMadeWho single.

Heartless” marks the conclusion of a series of high-profile singles from Kiss & Forget, including collaborations with Adriatique, RY X, and Blue Hawaii. The album, set to release on WhoMadeWho‘s own imprint, The Moment, is posed to be a landmark in the band’s reputable career, showcasing their evolution and cementing their status as electronic music innovators.

Malandra Jr. delivers enchanting debut EP, ‘Abrakadabra’ to Stil Vor Talent

Right on cue to get dance floors boiling this summer, Malandra Jr. punches in on Stil vor Talent with his piping hot debut effort, the ‘Abrakadabra’ EP.

With all-in blazing arpeggios and Dune-esque desert choirs, the title track, ‘Abrakadabra’, cuts a path of straight destruction with its heavy-duty bass onslaughts and Arabic-style synthwaves. All about creating the kind of momentum that unleashes pure energy and magic across the room, Malandra has us pumped up and ready for each bar of this Italo-inspired wild ride.

Winding it back to the 80s classic with a synth-heavy deluge of Moroder-ian disco arpeggios, ‘Ghostbuster‘ is just pure retro-laced juice in a bottle. Cranking the Roland Jupiter X and Korg Triton up to eleven, Malandra treats us to a steroid-fueled workout of jacking rhythms and gym tonic-like pep talk. If you think it’s scorching out there, just give this one a spin and feel your body melting like an ice cube in the red-hot sun.

Malandra Jr.
Malandra Jr. – Abrakadabra

Malandra Jr.’s attitude-filled punkish take on house and techno has found its way onto important electronic labels as of late, including the Dubai-based Kinetika Music for his remix of Aiwaska and We Came’s ‘Tarantula’, Stil Vor Talent again for a cinematic single, ‘Dangerous Mind’, Solomun’s Diynamic, Watergate Records, Exe Audio, Renaissance Records, and more.

Simonpietro Malandra’s relationship with music started young when he learned piano classically and studied clarinet, winning awards, before studying classical music at Accademia Teatro alla Scala, a renowned art school in Milan. Shortly after his time there, he applied his skills from classical to electronic music, utilizing his deep understanding of melody, harmony and rhythm to create dancefloor tracks with innate musicality.

This two-track EP, ‘Abrakadabra‘, again showcases Malandra’s ability to stir a crowd through colourful ways. One is deep, centering around an Eastern synth melody, while the other is an Italo disco-style track that delivers a devastating drop.

Here to sizzle up your summer even more, this red-hot EP is well worth a listen for fans of grin-inducing dance music.

Ben Böhmer Shares Dreamy New Single “Rust”

Award-winning artist and producer Ben Böhmer shares his newest single, “Rust.” The track continues the lead up to Böhmer’s third studio album, Bloom, arriving September 27 via Ninja Tune.

While the previous singles serve as a quite stark departure from Ben‘s signature sound—he’s determined to break out of the pre-fabricated boxes he’s been put—”Rust” is a callback for his fans who adore the sound of his previous projects.

Begin Again (2021) and Breathing (2019) earned Ben immense success (nearly 1 billion plays, and 200 shows in 2022 alone), but he found himself being pulled too far in a direction that wasn’t meant to define him.

Identifying more as a composer/songwriter, Ben set out to write Bloom as a reset, sharing music that shows the breadth and depth of his talent. “Rust,” within the context of the previous singles, shows that the dreamy, melodic house that his fans love, is still a key part of his sound, while he continues to branch out.

Rust” follows the previously released, Pitchfork-supported “Hiding,” a collaboration with award-winning dream pop icon Lykke Li, and the lead single “Best Life,” with one of Ben‘s favorite collaborators, JONAH, earlier this year.

The new single is a powerful, piano-led track with a steady rhythm, featuring swathes of orchestral crescendos and soft, delicate interludes, evoking the rich palette of emotions he’s known for.

Ben Böhmer
Ben Böhmer – Rust

Ben is fresh off several major performances, including festivals such as Lollapalooza, Sonar by Night and Electric Forest, and serving as direct support for ODESZA at The Gorge, BMO Stadium, and Madison Square Garden.

Looking ahead, he’ll round out his North American tour with a stop at Portola before embarking on an Australian tour, on track to sell out across the continent, where he’ll perform in music halls across Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne (currently sold out). Then, he’ll head back to Europe for a string of massive fall shows (46k capacity total), including a stop at the Great Hall of Alexandra Palace.
