Lunar Eclipse will feature an unforgettable lineup of world-renowned DJs including Tiesto, Alesso, Rezz and Zedd who will take the stage for this massive event series, inspired by the beginning of a new year on the lunisolar calendar. These evolutionary parties will unfold around Chinese New Year from February 2-18, 2024 at The Brooklyn Hangar’s expansive 15,000+ square foot venue.
Lunar Eclipse kicks off on February 2nd with an unforgettable night from Swedish DJ and Producer Alesso. Tiësto will headline on February 8th and on February 10th, Canadian DJ REZZ will take the stage.
The series continues on February 15th with a sold out show from Knock2 and ISOxo and fan favorite ZEDD will close out Lunar Eclipse on February 17th and 18th. Doors open for each set at 9pm and the nights will cap off at 4am.

DC’s own weekend-long electronic dance music festival, is set to return Saturday April 27 and Sunday April 28 with yet another vibrant lineup of some of EDM’s biggest headliners and edgiest artists, from ILLENIUM to Zedd to Rezz and more.

Hangout Music Festival is excited to reveal its 2024 lineup, featuring an eclectic group of artists set to perform on the white sand beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama this May 17-19.

Electronic visionaries Rezz and Subtronics have come together to release their new collaboration ‘Black Ice’ out now via HypnoVizion & Cyclops Recordings.
The anticipated follow-up to their 2022 collaboration ‘Puzzle Box‘, ‘Black Ice‘ is an addictive new favorite for Rezz and Subtronics fans alike. Resonating with each of their distinctive styles, ‘Black Ice‘ slithers through climactic builds and ominous twists and turns as the pair experiment with textured layers and psychoactive elements.
A multitudinous blend of genres, ‘Black Ice‘ is daringly bold with two dynamic drops that lend themselves to Subtronics‘ leftfield dubstep and Rezz‘s mid-tempo signatures, with a touch of bass house added for good measure. Much more than a simple MIDI utility, Metaconformer facilitates instrument routing scenarios that enable users to connect instruments in entirely new ways – making it easier to manage multitimbral sound sources in a MIDI-based environment.
Metaconformer – which uses the longstanding MIDI protocol in unconventional ways while offering greater control over a complex instrument setup – provides three primary modes of operation:
Splitter Mode: Split keyboard in up to 8 zones
Splitter Mode allows the splitting of one keyboard (127 midi notes of one channel) in up to 8 zones. Each zone corresponds to one instrument, or MIDI channel. In splitter mode, users can operate several synths simultaneously.
Additionally, certain grooveboxes can receive several MIDI channels as well, thus enabling users to simply create multitimbralities. Zones can are flexible and can intersect, and each zone has a transposition option.
Combiner Mode: Combine up to 8 different instruments
Combiner Mode allows combinations of up to 8 different instruments into one multitimbral polysynth. To do this, it receives notes from the Metaconformer input MIDI channel, and distributes notes to the MIDI channels of ‘voices’ much like classical polyphonic – but with different sounds on each voice.
Translator Mode: Configure key tracks
Finally, the Translator Mode allows users to play on parameters of sound core (CC messages) with notes – this may include resonating filters, paraphonic oscillators and so on. Conceptually, it may be considered as something of a configurable key track. For instance, a user can play note N (from 0-127 midi notes), and then have it translated it to parameter value (0-127 midi CC values).
Metaconformer Modular MIDI Processor
Metaconformer makes it easier to control a complex electronic instrument setup, while opening up new opportunities for experimentation. It is easy to set up, with an interface focused on simplicity and great user experience. All three mode configurations require about 3 to 4 simple steps, along with entering any required information from the user keyboard – there is no menu diving or deep knowledge of MIDI required.
