Exit Festival Has Unveiled the First 24 Acts for Its Upcoming Edition, Exit Starseed

World renowned artists such as Black Eyed Peas, Gucci Mane, Tom Morello, Carl Cox, Bonobo and more have been revealed as the first 24 acts to be announced for EXIT Festival 2024.

EXIT Festival has just unveiled the first 24 acts for its upcoming edition, EXIT Starseed! The lineup is headlined by pop-rap icons and one of the most successful music groups of all time, the Black Eyed Peas, along with one of the world’s most innovative guitarists and a driving force behind Rage Against the Machine, Tom Morello, and the global trap trailblazer, Gucci Mane!

Legendary mts Dance Arena will feature the most popular DJ of all time, Carl Cox, often seen as the symbol of the profession itself. He will be joined by Bonobo, Berlin’s DJ star and producer KlangKuenstler, Sama’ Abdulhadi, Barry Can’t Swim, Franky Wah, and Mene.

Tesla Universe Stage will also showcase leaders among the new generation of artists Kenya Grace and Iniko, the mega-popular British group Rudimental, pop and soul sensation John Newman, the unstoppable The Exploited, Australian visionary Dub FX, hitmakers Willy William, Ian Asher, and Steve Angello, and the leading regional sensation Joker Out.

The first names for Visa Fusion Stage are the Greek band Villagers of Ioannina City and the Czech synth-pop group Lakeside X, while Explosive Stage will be energized by the Swiss thrash metal band Coroner and Nemesis!

The pop-rap icons Black Eyed Peas are coming to Serbia for the first time, and with an incredible 80 million albums sold, they represent one of the most successful musical groups of all time! With their rich collection of platinum albums, they earned as many as 59 of the most prestigious music awards, including six Grammys, eight American Music Awards and two Billboard awards.

Creators of enduring R&B, hip hop, and dance anthems such as “My Humps” and “Pump It,” and chart-topping singles “I Gotta Feeling” and “Boom Boom Pow,” which secured their place in history among the few artists to simultaneously hold the top two spots on the Billboard Hot 100 list, not to mention recent hits like “Girl Like Me” and “Don’t You Worry” with Shakira, they’ve cemented their status as timeless global stars and are set to electrify the EXIT Festival audience!

For the first time, the Petrovaradin Fortress will echo with the iconic riff of “Killing in the Name,” straight from the axe of Tom Morello, the co-founder and leading composer of most of Rage Against the Machine‘s albums! One of the most innovative guitarists of today, Morello has a career marked by an impressive array of collaborators such as Bruce Springsteen, RZA and GZA of Wu-Tang Clan, The Prodigy, Eddie Vedder, Bring Me the Horizon, and Chris Stapleton. Showcasing a broad genre diversity through numerous collaborations and unconventional playing techniques, Morello’s unique musical expression and characteristic use of effects create his own language, combining rock, rap, and electronic elements.

The main Tesla Universe Stage will also host the unrivalled Gucci Mane, a key figure in making trap a dominant music genre of today. His army of fans includes over forty million followers on social media, with streams of his songs reaching tens of billions! By popular demand, Bonobo, the maestro of blending various musical styles and a headliner at the world’s biggest festivals, is making his debut appearance in Serbia. With five Grammy nominations, two of which came just this year, he can boast a performance in front of two million people during his “Migration” tour in 2017, while his namesake LP topped Billboard’s list of Best Dance Albums. mts Dance Arena will also feature British producer and DJ Barry Can’t Swim, while KlangKuenstler will bring the spirit of Berlin’s club scene on the first day of the festival, along with stellar sets from Sama’ Abdulhadi, Franky Wah, and Mene.

EXIT‘s multi-genre crossroad, the iconic Visa Fusion Stage, will feature Greek rock band Villagers of Ioannina City and Czech synth-pop group Lakeside X. A heavier sound is traditionally reserved for Explosive Stage, so far headlined by Swiss thrash metal band Coroner and the all-female death metal group Nemesis.

The next edition of EXIT Festival, carrying the EXIT Starseeds theme under the slogan “Awakening Our Superpowers Together,” is set to take place from July 10 to 14, 2024, at the Petrovaradin Fortress. A special Starseeds Takeover performance on Tesla Universe stage is reserved for day zero.

Adam Beyer & Raxon Collaborate for ‘The Signal’

A rare collaborative outing, the EP marks Beyer’s first studio link up with Egyptian producer Raxon and his first release on Drumcode’s little brother imprint since 2015!

This year has been one of Adam Beyer‘s most prolific of his career, so it seems fitting he’d end it with a return to Drumcode‘s little brother imprint Truesoul. His last dance on Truesoul was way back in 2015 with the masterful quartet of rollers ‘Time Flies‘, which highlighted the Ibiza summer back then.

Needless to say, we’d been salivating at the idea of Beyer and ‘Rax‘ pairing up for a musical date.

“I’ve been releasing music on both Adam’s labels since 2017, so when he hit me up back in May with the idea of making a track together, I was both interested and curious to see what could we come up with. Both of us have a similar natural work flow, with no rush and nothing forced. I guess that’s what the Mediterranean does to you.” – Raxon

The pair took their time swapping ideas back and forth until Beyer shared the main bassline groove for the Day Mix of ‘The Signal‘ and the collaboration immediately started to take shape. The track is built around a riveting call-and-response synth lead, while a mélange of gritty drums with a foot in electro, cosmic and psy, drive proceedings forward. The Night Mix increases the intensity, tuning the main melody for late-night, pumping dancefloor moments.

Legendary Seven Lions remix of OceanLab classic ‘Satellite’ receives official release on Anjunabeats

More than 12 years after Seven Lions uploaded an unofficial remix of OceanLab’s ‘Satellite’ onto his SoundCloud page, and now the remix finally sees an official release on Above & Beyond’s Anjunabeats label.

OceanLab is the chart-hitting side project of Above & Beyond (Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness and Paavo Siljamaki) and singer-songwriter Justine Suissa.

Melodic dubstep pioneer Seven Lions rapidly rose to prominence after winning a remix competition in 2011. His unique rework of Above & Beyond’s ‘You Got To Go’ (feat. Zoë Johnston) immediately grabbed the trio’s attention, sparking the beginning of a relationship that would span multiple collaborative performances between the two acts and an array of further Seven Lions remixes of Above & Beyond and Anjunabeats classics.

A vocal fan of Above & Beyond’s early works, Jeff’s (Seven Lions) own inimitable brand of high-octane, bass-saturated dance has always kept songwriting at its core. Some of his most recognizable Anjunabeats releases include his heavy-hitting remix 3LAU’s debut Anjunabeats smash, ‘Tokyo’ feat. XIRA, his unforgettable collaboration with Jason Ross and Paul Meany, ‘Higher Love,’ and more.

OceanLab’s ‘Satellite’ was released in 2004 to wide acclaim, peaking at number 19 in the UK singles chart in May 2004 and remaining there for a month. The track would become a cult classic, sung along to by fans at countless Above & Beyond shows.

This year, Above & Beyond were the only British DJs to sell out two consecutive nights at Printworks as part of the iconic London venue’s closing season. Over the summer, their Group Therapy Weekender festival once again saw thousands of Anjunafamily descend on the Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington State. They also appeared at Tomorrowland in Belgium and Insomniac’s Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas. They recently returned to Red Rocks Amphitheatre to helm two shows alongside label stars from Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep.

DJ Sammy, music icon who has sold more than 20 million records, is back with another track: “Braveheart”. The new track is the second collaboration with the Hamburg based producer Renns and US singer Scarlett.

“Better Days” already contained the vocals of the enchanting US singer Scarlett, who lives in Los Angeles and now also enchants “Braveheart” with her voice. “Braveheart” presents a huge soundscape that unleashes emotions and draws the crowd to the dance floor.

One of the most iconic DJs and producers worldwide, DJ Sammy has sold more than 20 million records and has been the recipient of countless awards. The Mallorcan global superstar is without a doubt one of the most successful electronic music artists of all time. His worldwide breakthrough arrived in 2001 with “Heaven”.

Boys Noize, BADSISTA, Dan Shake and LP Giobbi on January 13, as well as Agents Of Time, DJ BORING, Eagles & Butterflies, Mura Masa (DJ set) and Olympe on January 20, among others, have been added to the stellar line-up across 3 stunning stages in the Tulum jungle, joining previously announced names, including Diplo, Disclosure (DJ set), HAAi and Mind Against on January 13, as well as Brina Knauss, Jaguar, Kölsch and Vintage Culture on January 20.

Nico de Andrea to Release Debut Album ‘Love Therapy’ Infused With Afro House and Melodic Pop

Following a string of releases on Amsterdam, New York, and London-based label Armada Music, French musician, DJ, and producer Nico de Andrea is excited to announce the January 26, 2024 release of his debut album, ‘Love Therapy.’

A sonic melting pot of melodic pop and Afro house with melancholic undertones, ‘Love Therapy’ is inspired by personal experiences of impossible love, conflict, and separation while touching on themes of nostalgia, longing, passion, and hope that permeate the twelve tracks.

The album explores the different phases of a relationship and the coping mechanisms to get through hard times…from the fragility of ‘One Last Call’ to the darkness of ‘Start The Fire’ to finally finding confidence and peace of mind with ‘Dreamin’ and ‘Million Times.’

To some, a debut album might signal the early stages of a career for an artist. But for Nico de Andrea, ‘Love Therapy’ is the culmination of a career spanning almost two decades.
