Alok sets new record with over 1,000 drones at Tomorrowland Brasil 2025

Alok is once again pushing boundaries at Tomorrowland Brasil, announcing a groundbreaking performance that will feature more than one thousand drones flying over the festival’s iconic mainstage.

A teaser video released on Tomorrowland‘s official social media channels, in collaboration with the artist, offers a glimpse into what promises to be one of the most ambitious shows in the festival’s history.

Alok‘s relationship with Tomorrowland runs deep. As the festival’s official ambassador in Brazil, he has consistently delivered performances that blend cutting-edge technology with emotional storytelling.

Last year, he stunned audiences at Tomorrowland Brasil with a 600-drone aerial spectacle over Parque Maeda, synchronized with fireworks, lasers, and lights. The six-and-a-half-minute show, co-produced with Tomorrowland, was hailed as a landmark moment in electronic music and earned the title of “Best Performance of 2024” at the Electronic Dance Music Awards (EDMAs).

Now, Alok is set to break the Latin American record for drone usage in a live music show, with over 1,000 drones choreographed to elevate his October 12 performance to new heights.

The show is being developed in close collaboration between Alok‘s creative team and Tomorrowland‘s production crew, promising a multisensory experience that redefines what’s possible in live entertainment.

“Tomorrowland is more than fireworks, stages, and shows,” Alok said during his last performance at Tomorrowland Belgium. “It’s the vibe and the energy we carry with us no matter where we are. It’s rejecting the idea of the impossible.”

Alok‘s presence at Tomorrowland has become more than a highlight, it’s a symbol of cultural representation. He has brought Brazil to the forefront of the global electronic scene, proving that music can be a powerful bridge between cultures, languages, and dreams.

With this upcoming performance, Alok isn’t just playing a set, he’s writing a new chapter in the history of electronic music.

His partnership with Tomorrowland continues to inspire and innovate, showing how art and technology can come together to create unforgettable moments.

Interview: We explore the creative forces behind Sterling Angel’s work

Sterling Angel is a producer devoted to creating music that feels authentic and unmistakably original. His sound fuses the hypnotic allure of Trance with the raw edge of industrial textures, weaving in an intimate, emotional depth that makes each track uniquely his own

Drawing from influences like Björk, Future Sound of London, and Orbital, his sound has developed into something deeply personal and unique, continuing to evolve as he discovers new ideas and fresh inspirations.

In this interview, we explore the creative forces behind Sterling Angel‘s work, from unexpected inspirations to how he stays grounded in his own voice while navigating an ever-shifting musical landscape.

Check out the full interview below!

Hi Sterling Angel, how’s it going?

Hi! It’s a pleasure to be here – I’m doing well, with a lot of new music on the way.

Your sound merges Trance, industrial textures, and emotional depth. Which artists or movements first inspired you to explore that fusion?

Honestly, my sound has evolved organically with no direct intention to fuse elements. It has always just been my attempt to express my emotional world in the best way I can. For me, it is more about catharsis rather than fitting in any particular genre.

That being said, I have always found Electronic Music, particularly from the 90s Techno, Trance and Ambient scene, to be the realm in which I’d like to create.

Recently, my music has embraced more of an industrial feel as a natural extension of the emotions I am currently expressing – it contributes to making music that has the intensity I desire.

Which artists had the biggest influence on you early on, and what was it about their work that resonated with you?

My introduction to Electronic Music came about when I was first exposed to Orbital on a local college radio station. I was blown away by this very new sound. I can’t really describe why it had such an effect, but it immediately became my favorite type of music.

There was something about the otherworldly feel to the music. It had a certain freedom and creativity to it. And it felt like it transported me to another place.

It was around this time that I also discovered possibly my biggest inspiration, Björk. With Bjork, I felt such raw and primal emotion in her voice as well as an incredible sound that pushed the boundaries of what had previously existed. I actually first experimented with the keyboard, adding layers to her songs to create somewhat remixes.

Other artists who influenced me the most were Enigma, Fluke, Future Sound of London, and a variety of other Trance artists of the time. The combination of atmosphere and hypnotic elements resonated with me so profoundly, it felt like ultimate creative freedom.

Do you ever draw influence from outside the musical world?

I find I draw a lot of influence from all forms of media, especially those with a sci-fi or action theme behind them. Films such as Blade Runner, Dune, Oblivion, and even John Wick.

I often run multiple video loops on my screen as I compose. I also get inspired by edgy and sensual media from Michael Bay to Victoria’s Secret commercials to exotic pole dancers. I love anything with dark beauty and often embrace various muses.

How do you approach influence more generally — do you embrace it freely or actively seek inspiration?

This is an interesting question.

Actually, I tend to just embrace it freely, but sometimes try to spark it. When I come across something, it’s usually random, like a scene from a movie or an Instagram reel on my feed. Then, I may combine various imagery I find into a video or screenshot to help inspire a new song.

Much of my inspiration is really more from an internal sense of existential angst rather than anything external, so I don’t think much about it. However, I do love it when I find some fresh work of art or media to help aid my creative process.

Are there any unexpected influences in your sound — artists or genres that might surprise listeners if they knew?

Well, before encountering Techno, I was actually a huge fan of 90s Hip Hop/Rap. I loved how edgy and hard some of the rhythms and beats were. I tend to incorporate Breakbeat-style beats in my work, which is most likely a remnant of that.

Some of those artists include Digital Underground, Public Enemy, Beastie Boys, and NWA. I think I may have been drawn to the overall creativity of that era.

Looking back, do you think your influences have shifted over time — or are there some constants that have always stayed with you?

I wouldn’t say my influences have shifted over time, but my style has. I used to produce in a more subdued ambient way in my earlier work. Trance elements were always present, but it was a less aggressive sound than what I am currently pursuing.

My music has become darker and edgier, which is more of a reflection of my inner world than a change in influences. That being said, I am always open to new songs that I come across to inspire, but it’s more on a subconscious level usually.

Do any artists stand out to you in the way they’ve navigated the industry beyond just their music?

I might have to get back to referencing Björk on this one, as she is always pushing the creative boundaries in her work. She is always on the cutting edge of technology. And with her, it is about artistic expression and emotion over commercial success.

I would also add Fluke to this in what they have accomplished outside of the music realm, as their songs have been featured in huge movies such as Sin City and The Matrix, to various commercials and video games. They’ve had a career similar to what I’d like to emulate for my own work.

Is there a piece of music from any genre, that you return to for grounding or clarity when you’re feeling creatively lost?

Can I name three? 🙂

  • Orbital – ‘Halcyon On and On’
  • Sinead O’ Connor – ‘Thank you for hearing me’
  • Lamb – ‘Gorecki’

All these songs just remind me of the beauty that is possible to feel in music and why I must always continue, no matter how hard things may be. Or how lost I feel.

Finally, how do you stay open to inspiration while making sure your work remains original and true to your own voice?

I would say I do approach this in a subconscious way and leave it to whatever comes my way. I never once analyzed a song on its structure, production techniques, etc. I make it a point not to emulate anything. I rely on my natural ability to transmute my emotion into sound. I don’t force anything and just feel alive within the flow. My intuition does the rest….

As Sterling Angel continues to expand his sonic world, it’s clear that his creative process is deeply rooted in instinct, emotion, and a commitment to staying true to his artistic vision.

As our conversation comes to a close, we thank him for taking the time to share a glimpse into the sounds, ideas, and influences that continue to shape his evolving identity. With a clear direction ahead, Sterling Angel appears as a Producer to keep an eye on, so be sure to follow him across social media to stay up-to-date with his latest releases, news, and creative projects.

Ella Hox Pushes the Limits with 3 Explosive Releases in October

Super-talented DJ and producer Ella Hox is about to drop a brand new powerful bomb on the label Punk or Die with her industrial edit of Making Of Cyborg, the iconic soundtrack composed by Kenji Kawai for the original 1995 movie Ghost in the Shell.

Set your alarm for October 3 — the bleached punk doll is pushing the boundaries of the hard techno scene with this new release, taking us on a violent spiritual journey between light and darkness, exploring the depths of transcendence. Heavy stuff for those unafraid of the afterlife or a dystopian, yet realistic, future.

Ella Hox – Making of Cyborg

What’s next? Get ready on October 10 for ‘Exstasy’ a sensual Frenchcore trip, collaboration with the legendary Italian Frenchcore duo The Sickest Squad. This track is pushing the limits of underground with the confrontation of two worlds and visions. Ella’s sensual and addictive vocal blends perfectly with The Sickest Squad’s signature earth-shaking Frenchcore kickdrums, wrapped in a delicious hypnotic atmosphere.

This single is set to be released on Crazy Tower Records distributed by Warner Music Italia, and later featured on the highly anticipated album 20 Years of The Sickest Squad, celebrating two decades of chaos, innovation, and pure hardcore energy.

On October 31, right for Halloween, the bleached menace will drop a 3rd track ‘Vampire Rave’, a hardcore blood bath mixing Ella’s exquisite vocal and hypnotic melodies with heavy kicks. Ode to the Vampires, this track is the next step after her success with the Hard Dance hit ‘Vampire Queen’ released last year.

Vampire Rave’ delivers a horror-inspired atmosphere laced with Ella Hox’s signature psychotic vocal. Designed to dominate the hardest stages, the track is set for release on the Punk Or Die label. Brace yourself for a vampiric experience you won’t soon forget.

Ella Hox – Vampire Rave

Here’s what Ella had to say:

“I’m in my full producer phase right now. My mind is burning of ideas and I feel the urge to expel my demons. I have a visceral need to create, get the world knows who I am, and  what I have to tell through my music.

Each track is an ode to both spirituality and horror. I like to play with duality—guiding people through darkness so they can feel the light even more deeply. Violence is always part of the game. My tracks are like a fast, wild, ritualistic dance: euphoric one moment, and the next, a total nightmare where you can imagine yourself being pursued by monsters.”

As one of the most unique women in electronic music, Ella Hox already stands among the select few female producers signed to top Hard Techno and Hard Dance labels, including Revised Records, TX, and DSR Digital. She is now beginning her rise to the top, with a wave of upcoming releases and collaborations alongside masters of Hardcore and Frenchcore.

Mark your calendars, these tracks are all set to make a big impact on the hardest stages!

Albert Harvey flips 2ŁØT’s “Never Knew You” into a moody club cut

2ŁØT

Following the release of their sweeping remix of “Sacrifice,” genre-defying band 2ŁØT returns today with “Never Knew You (The Albert Harvey Mix),” the next single from their forthcoming EP The Albert Harvey Mix, out October 24th.

The track offers a moody, club-ready reinvention of one of the most poignant songs from the band’s debut album Entropy – now filtered through the lens of celebrated Dutch producer Albert Harvey known for his work with David Guetta, Avicii, Armin van Buuren and Stargate.

Never Knew You” is a meditation on intimacy, misperception, and the quiet realization that we often only know people on the surface. The lyrics speak to the distance between how we see others and who they truly are.

“For me, this song is one of the most emotionally layered tracks on Entropy,” says Love Jr. “My father wrote the original lyrics years ago, and finishing the song with the band after his passing gave it a whole new weight. It became about seeing yourself in someone else’s absence. Albert’s remix doesn’t take anything away from that – it builds on it with this pulse and movement that makes the story feel alive in a different way.”

While the original version of “Never Knew You” leaned into smoky instrumentation and melancholic restraint, Harvey‘s reimagining gives the song new urgency. Through hypnotic rhythms and textural layering, the remix pulls the listener deeper into the emotional architecture of the track – building an atmosphere of ache, memory, and motion.

Never Knew You (The Albert Harvey Mix)” is the second of four songs featured on The Albert Harvey Mix, a new EP that reimagines key tracks from Entropy through the Dutch producer’s globally attuned ear.

The EP follows the band’s recent collaborations with Aloe Blacc (“Immortal“) and Paul Oakenfold (“Entropy (Remix)“), further expanding their reach into the world of dance and electronic music without sacrificing their mission of depth, resilience, and social connection.

2ŁØT is a five-piece band blending hip hop, funk, soul, jazz, rock, and electronic music into a sound they call Electronic Jam Music (EJM). Formed during a time of personal upheaval, the group—comprised of Rudy Love Jr., Chase Koch, Omar Jawar II, Sage Judd, and Robert Trusko—uses music as a tool for social change.

Their work spans themes of addiction recovery, youth empowerment, and criminal justice reform, offering listeners both emotional catharsis and community-driven purpose.

Esther Anaya Drops ‘More Than A Feeling’ with Parker Matthews & Jayem

Coming off her recent success of her tech-house banger “Baseline” alongside Eran Hersh, Dean Walker and Aston, featuring a verse by the iconic Snoop Dogg, Esther Anaya releases “More Than A Feeling” with Parker Matthews and Jayem.

With a vibe that embodies passion, energy, and connection, the song captures the euphoric moment when music transcends sound and becomes pure emotion, pulling listeners into a state where rhythm meets soul and subconsciously inspired to dance.

With more music set to release to end 2025 and launch 2026, Anaya continues to showcase her genre-bending versatility as an artist and produce

Esther Anaya, a DJ, singer, violinist, producer, and Official DJ of the Los Angeles Chargers, brings her signature electric violin and emotive vocals to the production, infusing the record with a bold and organic edge.

Exclusive Interview with Buenos Aires-based Producer and DJ Fede Spamer

As Fede Spamer continues carving out his place on the global Electronic Music scene, the Buenos Aires-based Producer and DJ keeps working to evolve, develop, and refine his approach within the genre.

Following the release of his debut ‘Love Mission’ EP – a project that introduced listeners to his emotive, textured, and groove-focused sound – Fede now finds himself stepping into fresh creative territory.

In this interview, we catch up with Fede to dive into what he plans for next – from new releases and workflow shifts to the creative energy powering this next phase in his journey.

Check out the full interview below!

Hi Fede! How are you?

Hey! I’m doing great, thanks.

Let’s talk about what’s next – are there any new tracks or projects currently in the works that you’re excited to share?

I’m currently working on several new releases that I’m really excited about. Each project explores different ideas I’ve been experimenting with in the studio, and I feel they represent the next step in my sound. The next release is actually coming very soon — just a few weeks away — and I can’t wait to share it with everyone.

Is there a particular upcoming release that feels like a creative turning point for you? Something that signals a shift or evolution in your sound?

The next release is definitely that for me — it marks a real creative turning point, and even more so with what I have planned for the future. I’m someone who’s always looking to better myself in every way, and with each new project.

I like to experiment with fresh techniques, different plugins, and new creative approaches. For me, it’s all about pushing boundaries and discovering everything that can be done.

How would you describe the direction or energy of your new material compared to ‘Love Mission’?

There’s definitely a new direction in terms of energy compared to ‘Love Mission’. That EP had a slower, more grounded feel, but recently I realized my sound fits better in faster-paced dynamic music.

I’ve always loved fast Techno and Trance, so I started experimenting with ways to adapt my style to higher BPMs in a more dynamic way, and it felt natural. The next release is still a bit slower and abstract because I didn’t want the change to feel too abrupt.

I’m moving from music under 130 BPM to tracks above that, but it’s a transition I’m really excited about. I feel my sound comes alive in this new space, and it’s a natural evolution from where ‘Love Mission’ left off.

Are you focusing on standalone singles right now, or is there a longer-form project taking shape behind the scenes?

I’m primarily focusing on standalone singles right now, as I’m shifting toward more dynamic, high-energy music. That said, there’s definitely a bigger project taking shape in my mind, and everything I’m working on with these singles is helping to shape that larger vision.

Any collaborations in the pipeline that you’re able to tease at this stage?

For now, it’s all solo work, but I’m hoping to collaborate with others soon.

Are there any new production techniques, tools, or workflows that you’ve been experimenting with lately in the studio?

Lately, my go-to has been phasing — I think it adds so much depth to a track and can be applied in so many ways. You can tweak and automate it to create all sorts of effects. I’m also paying much more attention to the details in my productions, especially using tools that help control the technical side of things.

For example, I’m looking at frequency heat maps to see how much space everything occupies, keeping an eye on LUFS, and managing stereo, mono, and dB levels more precisely. It’s all about making the sound as clear and dynamic as possible.

Beyond the music, are there any new creative or visual concepts you’re exploring as part of your artistic direction?

As I’m shifting toward different-paced music, the visual and creative concepts are still a work in progress. That said, the core message and the ideas I want to convey remain intact. It’s just about finding the best way to reflect this new energy visually.

Is there a specific theme or emotion guiding your next phase of releases?

The main idea guiding this next phase is that to feel truly whole as a person, you have to choose to do the things you enjoy most in life. When you follow that path, you start to find your purpose, everything around you begins to change for the better, and you can feel truly free.

Looking ahead, what excites you most about the next chapter in your journey as an artist?

What excites me most about the next chapter is the opportunity to push my sound further and explore new creative directions. I’m really looking forward to experimenting with faster-paced, more dynamic music, refining my techniques, and sharing that evolution with listeners.

Beyond the music itself, it’s about growing as an artist and as a person, finding new ways to express myself, and seeing how each project can open doors to new experiences and collaborations.

Fede Spamer’s upcoming projects reflect a producer in motion – not just building momentum but shaping it with intent and drive. As he shifts toward faster tempos and precise production, there is a clear feeling that this next phase marks an exciting time for the Producer and DJ.

So, with his journey pushing him further forward, be sure to keep up with Fede Spamer and his upcoming projects by following him across social media today.

Jul Big Green Crowned Winner of Kato On The Track’s “Hot Takes” Tournament on Audius

After weeks of competition and more than 2,000 submissions, Kato On The Track and Audius have crowned Jul Big Green the winner of the inaugural Hot Takes Tournament, earning him over $15,000 in prizes.

The Hot Takes Tournament was launched earlier this summer by Kato On The Track in partnership with Audius to spotlight independent artists making great music outside the industry’s typical popularity-driven models.

Over seven weeks, Kato narrowed more than 2,000 song submissions down to a Sweet 16, culminating in Jul Big Green‘s winning track.

“The Hot Takes Tournament showed every music creator out there that talent still matters,” said Kato On The Track.

Kato On The Track

Out of thousands of submissions, I picked Jul Big Green’s ‘Hometown Love’ because it has the infectious energy we need right now. Every finalist was an independent artist making great music, which is exactly why I created Hot Takes – to spotlight talent beyond the industry’s popularity contest”, he added.
