Tomas Grey Drops His Latest Release “Rumors” on Tomorrowland Music

Rising Canadian producer and DJ Tomas Grey closed the year 2025 with “Rumors,” a powerful new single that positions him as one of the most promising young names in global electronic music.

Released on 31 December 2025 via Tomorrowland Music / Intercord Records, “Rumors” arrives as both a potential radio hit and a high-impact club and festival record.

At just 21 years old, Tomas Grey has already built significant international momentum. Hailing from Quebec, Canada, he has earned official remix credits for Martin Garrix, alongside support from top-tier artists including Afrojack, Nicky Romero, Morgan Page, and Martin Garrix himself.

His rapid rise has been reflected in multiple Top 100 chart placements across several countries, as well as live performances across Canada at major venues such as Unity Electro Fest and Montreal’s iconic Olympia.

Tomas Grey

Rumors” captures this momentum perfectly. Built around an instantly memorable, sing-along vocal, the track blends polished songwriting with uplifting, driving synths, resulting in a no-compromise production that works equally well on radio, in clubs, and on festival main stages. It is a confident, forward-facing dance anthem designed for both broad audiences and high-energy DJ sets.

Here’s what Tomas Grey had to say:

“At a time when distractions are constant and life can feel repetitive, this record invites listeners to step outside the everyday loop and create their own reality, even if only for a moment. This is music for those who believe that imagination is power, unity is essential, and freedom starts from within.”

The record is already generating substantial organic traction on TikTok, where the audio has sparked thousands of user-generated creations, further underlining its crossover appeal and viral potential ahead of release.

With “Rumors,” Tomas Grey delivers a pre-destined anthem that signals the arrival of a future star. Backed by Tomorrowland Music and Intercord Records, driven by strong early platform engagement, the release marks a defining step in his fast-growing international career.

Tomorrowland DJ Academy celebrates the rising stars of 2025

Tomorrowland Academy

As the year draws to a close, Tomorrowland’s Tomorrowland Academy looks back on a year defined by breakthrough moments and dreams that turned into careers.

From bedroom DJs releasing tracks on Tomorrowland‘s world-renowned record label Tomorrowland Music to first-time performers stepping onto Tomorrowland’s iconic stages, 2025 has marked a powerful chapter of growth for the Academy’s students.

Now, the achievements speak louder than words: these are the student-to-artist success stories that defined 2025 at Tomorrowland Academy.

Launched in 2022, Tomorrowland Academy has grown into an international education platform empowering music enthusiasts at every level. Through a combination of physical and online programs in DJing, music production, performance presence, and personal branding, the Academy equips artists with the skills, confidence, and industry insight needed to thrive.

Portex: From bedroom DJ to international stage

Portex

Portex (26, Belgium) started DJing on a small laptop controller, experimenting with Techno, Trance, and Acid in his bedroom. What began as a personal passion quickly became a dream he wanted to share with the world.

His breakthrough came when his Rise submission was selected for release on Tomorrowland Music in 2024, opening doors to international releases, festival bookings, and opportunities he had once only imagined.

Here’s what Portex had to say:

“I gained so much confidence on all levels, I’ve played on a lot of big stages lately, achieved already so many dreams and it really feels comfortable and in a place where I want to be and what I want to do, that’s something I would never have believed when I first started DJing.”

Since then, Portex has played on some of Belgium’s most prestigious stages, released several new tracks, including ‘Scandalous‘ in collaboration with Amber Broos, and continues to strengthen his place in the electronic music scene with the support of the Tomorrowland family.

“I also got selected for the One World futures program, coming close to the real One World Agency this really is a dream and definitely boosted my career!,” Portex added.

Ayden Loyde: A Journey of dreaming, daring, and doing

Ayden Loyde

Ayden Loyde (24, Sweden) discovered DJing three years ago as a way to channel music that truly moved him. In early 2025, he became a member of the Tomorrowland Academy. He gained unparalleled industry insights, creative guidance, and practical tools that catalyzed a decisive evolution in his craft and solidified his commitment to his artistic vision.

Speaking about the Academy, Ayden said:

“Before the Academy, I was more of a dreamer than a doer. Now, after joining in early 2025, things have changed drastically. I have real music out in the world, a debut single released, a growing network, and most importantly, the confidence to present myself as an artist.”

Loyde hit a defining career milestone by winning the Tomorrowland Winter 2025 DJ Contest, earning his first-ever performance on the festival’s iconic Reflection of Love stage in Alpe d’Huez, France. During his performance, he debuted his single “Breathe,” which was later officially released on RISE with Tomorrowland Music.

“Without a doubt, performing at the Reflection of Love stage during Tomorrowland Winter is one of my most proud moments. Being on that stage was a dream come true. Above all, it made my debut single possible, playing it live for the first time on that stage.” Ayden Loyde added.

David Herrlich: From self-discovery to Tomorrowland stage

David Herrlich

David Herrlich (32, Germany) had already built a successful international performing career. Yet, he remained on a journey of self-discovery, searching for a sound that truly resonated with him. Tech house was moving in a direction he could not connect with, pushing him to explore new creative paths.

Joining the Tomorrowland Academy during a period of rebranding gave him the tools and confidence to create music that genuinely reflected his artistic identity. This journey reached a milestone when he won the Perform at Tomorrowland 2025 competition, securing a performance on the House of Fortune stage by JBL.

Here’s what David said about the Academy:

“I started producing music that didn’t fit neatly into any genre, music that I couldn’t easily label myself and that was exactly the sign that I was finally creating something true to me. All of this showed me that I’m working on something real, something meaningful. And Tomorrowland – together with the Academy – has become a huge part of this.”

Elisa Amaral: Breaking beats and barriers

Elisa Amaral

Elisa Amaral (41, Brazil) discovered DJing at the end of 2010, when she pressed the play button for a friend at a club and felt the indescribable power of commanding a dance floor.

From that moment, she dedicated herself to mastering the art of DJing. Over the years, she has competed in three major Tomorrowland contests – Winter, Belgium, and Brazil – placing 5th, 3rd, and 2nd, and growing stronger with each challenge.

“I initially joined because of the Tomorrowland contests. I had the dream of playing at the festival, and to my surprise, I discovered an incredible community of people behind it all, as well as courses and workshops that I made great use of.” – Elisa

Her dedication and growth caught the attention of industry experts, leading to performances at Tomorrowland Brasil, Amsterdam Dance Event, and an exclusive set for One World Radio.

By achieving these milestones, Elisa has turned her long-held dreams into reality, while paving the way for a new generation of women in electronic music.

“What impacted me the most wasn’t the contest results themselves, but what came afterward: being invited to perform at Tomorrowland even without winning. During my set, I saw so many DJ friends from the industry in the audience. Witnessing such strong support among women was deeply inspiring – it reminded me how important it is that we lift each other up.”

Lucca van Damme: Mastering the decks at 17

Lucca van Damme

Since joining the Tomorrowland Academy in 2023 at just 15 years old, Lucca van Damme (Belgium) has already performed at Tomorrowland for three consecutive years. His sets at the Library and the Gathering have showcased his rapid growth and cemented his reputation as one of Belgium’s most promising young talents.

“I don’t think there’s a better place or academy to learn everything about the DJ world than the academy of the number one festival in the world, Tomorrowland.” – Lucca van Damme

In 2025, Lucca made his debut with “Oblivion” on Generation Smash, a major milestone for the young producer. The Tomorrowland Academy not only helped him refine his production, mixing, and set-building skills, but also guided him through the process of completing and releasing his first track.

Lucca has transformed his early passion into a professional career, showing how early opportunities can propel young talents onto the world stage.

“I was already producing and DJing before, but thanks to the tips and advice from the Academy, my productions have been improved. I also learned how to structure and build my sets in the most effective way.”

Meszo: A story where belief meets breakthrough

Meszo

For Meszo (24, Brazil), finding his sound was a personal journey. He spent years searching for his true sound in the Brazilian electronic scene. Through hard work, experimentation, and guidance from the Tomorrowland DJ Academy, he gained the confidence to take his artistry to the next level and perform with authenticity on the world stage.

“My journey with the Academy was life-changing. In just a few months, it pushed me to grow, believe in myself again, and reconnect with music as my true purpose. It felt like the door I had been chasing during all these years finally opened. The Academy transformed me in a way that made me believe I belong in this dream.”Meszo

That confidence propelled him to win the Perform at Tomorrowland Brasil 2025 competition, where he showcased the refined sound and performance skills he had honed with the Academy‘s support.

“Winning 1st place worldwide and performing at Tomorrowland Brasil 2025 was a moment I’ll carry forever. Walking on stage at Tomorrowland Brasil 2025, knowing I was representing Brazil, the Academy, and all the rising artists was the most surreal and emotional moment of my life.”

Ramiro Drisdale – Glade EP

Here’s what Ramiro Drisdale had to say about the release:

“This EP is made up of three tracks, all designed to resonate on the dancefloor. ‘Glade’, ‘Jebel’, and ‘Norte’ each contain organic nuances, but together with their synthesizers they achieve a main-set feel that works very well at key moments in a set.

The drums and percussion play a major role in making this happen, as they ensure the groove never fades or if it does, that its drop is striking.”

Born in Buenos Aires, Ramiro Drisdale has been releasing music since 2019, building a catalog of uplifting tracks on labels including All Day I Dream, Anjunadeep, Sudbeat, and The Soundgarden.

His work has received support from Lee Burridge, John Digweed, Hernán Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Tony McGuinness, Jimi Jules, and others. Glade marks his first full EP on All Day I Dream, following three consecutive appearances on the label’s Winter Sampler compilations.

Ramiro Drisdale‘s new EP caps off a year filled with imaginative releases from Lee Burridge, Lost Desert, DIM KELLY, Tim Green, Double Touch, Amand & Capoon, and Khen.

All Day I Dream will return in 2026 with their first-ever event in Cape Town on February 6.

Brunch Electronik Festival 2026 unveils stellar lineup

Barcelona’s Brunch Electronik Festival delivers an unexpected early Christmas present with the release of 36 artists confirmed for the late-summer festival – now in its fourth year – taking place August 7 & 8, 2026.

This starting lineup speaks to the musical diversity of the much loved event, bringing together festival favorites, stadium filling superstars, and breakout talent in an announcement that spans industrial techno, feel-good house, electronic pop and everything in between.

For two days at Barcelona’s seafront Fòrum complex, Brunch Electronik Festival will thrill to the sounds of arena fillers and contemporary dance music icons. Eric Prydz, will return to the festival circuit following his Holosphere 2.0 residency at Ibiza’s [UNVRS], whilst Paul Kalkbrenner makes ‘sea and sand’ literal, with a hybrid set of his genre defining melodic techno.

At the harder end of the spectrum, Neapolitan DJ Deborah de Luca promises to take the crowd on a journey through techno, from minimal and melodic through to the harder edged beats she’s known for; whilst I Hate Models and 999999999, crank the BPMs to breaking point.

Techno connoisseurs will also be well served elsewhere on the lineup, with genre masterchef’s Jen Cardini cooking up beats with a queer and trans inclusionary agenda, and Rødhåd keeping things frosty with a layer of his trademark Scandinavian iced out techno.

Barcelona’s proximity to Ibiza is also reflected in the lineup, with some of the magic isles’ best loved selectors making the short hop across the Mediterranean. Lovers of feel-good summery house music need no introduction to Jamie Jones, while FUSE boss Enzo Siragusa brings his trademark minimal house and deep tech.

More Ibiza vibes come courtesy of the electro-funk and bassline mastery of the unstoppable Mau P, while Ukrainian artist Miss Monique takes things in a progressive deep direction, perfect for sunsets.

Brunch Electronik Festival 2026 Lineup
Brunch Electronik Festival 2026 Lineup

This initial lineup announcement is rounded out by a wave of artists who bring a touch of class to the dance floor, headed up by Floating Points’ stunning live set, which uses his modular setup as a launching pad for dance floor destruction.

Elsewhere, Peach Discs label boss Shanti Celeste, Sydney stalwarts Chaos in the CBD and Berghain’s Panorama Bar resident Paramida, all promise to educate as well as titillate on the floor.

Last but by no means least, get ready for a set of ‘sad-bangers’ from Irish electro pop iconoclast Biig Piig, whose ear for a melody is amply matched by on-point production, suitable for dance floors of all shapes and sizes.

Brunch Electronik Festival is the flagship event of Brunch Electronik, a much loved Barcelona events brand celebrated for its series of day-time ‘open air’ events in iconic locations around the city, that have built a reputation as Barcelona’s ‘Worst Kept Secret’ thanks to their heterogeneous crowds, considered production, focus on sustainability, and agenda-setting lineups.

Now in its fourth year, the festival continues to go from strength to strength, thanks to a continuous process of listening to its community – known as Brunchers – through surveys, DMs, and comments on social media.

In 2025, this feedback led to the creation of more chilled fountains for free water, increased variety and quality of food options, more shaded areas, and a vastly improved user experience overall. In 2026 this process will continue, with details to follow in the new year.

With more than 70,000 attendees across its last two editions – and with 80% of its audience coming from Barcelona – Brunch Electronik Festival 2026 will once again turn the city into the epicentre of electronic music this summer.

Brunch Electronik Festival exists as a celebration of the spirit of Brunch: a celebration for the entire city, soundtracked by the hottest DJs and artists in clubland, where anything can happen, but only happens at Brunch Electronik Festival.

MAXI MERAKI Reimagines Monolink’s “In My Place”

Maxi Meraki

Following the critically acclaimed release of Monolink’s third studio album The Beauty Of It All back in September, Embassy One now unveils the latest chapter in the album’s evolution with MAXI MERAKI’s remix of “In My Place”.

Putting his own inimitable spin on one of the tracks that helped define the album’s emotional tone and artistic direction, the Belgian producer’s interpretation of “In My Place” builds on the raw, spontaneous spirit of the original while guiding it into deeper, more club-ready territory.

The original track – rooted in an impromptu synth jam between Monolink and producer Toby Siebert – was largely captured in a one-take performance, radiating the unfiltered energy and analog warmth that have become signatures of Monolink’s artistry.

Its pulsing rhythms, subdued vocals and warped central riff made it both a listener favorite and a defining moment in the unveiling of The Beauty Of It All. In his remix, MAXI MERAKI channels that raw essence into a refined, atmospheric journey.

With meticulous attention to groove and space, he deepens the track’s emotional pull while expanding its dancefloor potential. Rolling percussion, dynamic bass textures and powerful synths provide a new sense of lift and motion, allowing Monolink’s vocals to breathe within a wider sonic horizon.

The result is a remix that feels both intimate and cinematic; faithful to the soul of the original while unmistakably stamped with MERAKI’s signature emotional resonance.

MERAKI’s remix adds a compelling new dimension to The Beauty Of It All, an album praised for its introspective storytelling, sonic warmth and focus on emotional clarity. By reinterpreting “In My Place,” he extends the album’s world, inviting listeners deeper into its atmosphere while offering a fresh, contemporary angle on one of its most impactful songs.

Listen to the remix below.
