Prospa Unveil Highly Anticipated New EP ‘If You Want My Loving’ on CircoLoco Records

Acclaimed UK electronic music duo Prospa unveils their highly-anticipated new EP, If You Want My Loving. This marks the tenth release (CLR 010) from the groundbreaking CircoLoco Records imprint.

A homage to the euphoria of ‘90s raves, this new EP delivers two massive tracks – the soulful, acid-tinged, and festival-ready ‘If You Want My Loving,’ and the auspicious ‘Motions’ – a driving and unstoppably infectious piece of deep house that’s a fan highlight of their current sets, alongside an exclusive vinyl-only bonus track.

If You Want My Loving signals a new era for the duo, adding to an already pumping year on the back of CLR 09, Carlita’s ‘Cash For Love.’

The duo’s debut single of 2024, ‘If You Want My Loving,’ has captivated both critics and fans alike. With vocals reminiscent of ’90s house legends and vintage synths echoing the era of hardware-driven dance music, the track’s hypnotic beat and minimalist instrumentation gradually build into an immersive sonic experience.

Motions’ has already received support from notable figures such as Danny Howard, DJ Seinfeld, and Josh Baker with its addictive deep house energy- sparking considerable excitement amongst fans and positioning itself for extensive rotation on playlists and dance floors this summer and beyond.

Speaking about the new EP, Prospa said:

“This represents a new step in the Prospa sound. A bassline-focused, raw interpretation of classic dance music with a touch of Chicago House, The Chemical Brothers, and Disco drum breaks, all under the roof of Prospa’s production, made for the dancefloor in DC10 and beyond.”

With If You Want My Loving, Prospa ushers in an exciting new chapter. With the latest addition to the CircoLoco Records catalog already making waves, the duo delivers a summer EP for the masses – continuing on their path to becoming one of dance music’s most sought-after acts.

Layton Giordani drops his new Drumcode single ‘Freaks at Night’

Layton Giordani continues his rich vein of outstanding form with his latest release on Drumcode ‘Freaks at Night’.

The Drumcode star has been delightfully scribbling outside the lines in recent times, showing his sonic breadth and impressive sound design skills in the process.

From ‘Thrillseeker‘, the “B-side” of last year’s ‘Phantom‘ EP which touched on trap, dubstep and hip hop, to the recent remix of Sharam‘s ‘P.A.T.T.‘ he crafted with Adam Beyer and Green Velvet, which broadened his production palette and became his first Beatport overall no.1 in the process.

Freaks at Night‘ continues his adventures in sound. Unmistakably a peak-time record, the track still manages to traverse a rich ethereal energy, highlighted by an otherworldly synth line and striking vocal that sets it apart from so many. Teased in sets by Giordani and Beyer going back to last summer, this one’s hugely anticipated.

Here’s what Giordani had to say about the release:

“My idea behind Freaks at Night was to combine techno and melodic house in a fresh way. The vocal is a classic from the 90s from a vocalist I grew up listening to out of NYC. I guess you could say this track is a vast combination of all my different influences and is a good representation of what’s to come.”

Mind Against Releases New Single “Love Seeking” on Life and Death

Italian dance music force Mind Against releases their new single “Love Seeking” via DJ Tennis’ home for underground explorations, Life and Death. The single marks a triumphant return for the duo to the label from which they launched their careers with their seminal 2013 single “Atlant.”

With “Love Seeking,” Mind Against flexes reinvigorated songwriting depth. While the duo is best known for their dark, intense productions, this new soulful, retrospective single hones in on the euphoric sensations tied to finding love on the dancefloor.

The sound, with its shape-cutting bass line, addicting hook, and rushing synths, aligns perfectly with what Life and Death does best, accentuating melodies, vocals, and indie dance elements in club-forward electronic music.

“This EP is very special to us as it marks our return to our very first label,” remarks Mind Against on Love Seeking.

“Since the release of our Atlant EP in 2013, both ourselves and Life and Death have grown our own paths, and it’s a great feeling being back to our very first mothership with an artistic proposal transcending the usual genre boundaries”

Mind Against – Love Seeking

Looking ahead, Mind Against will deliver the Love Seeking EP on August 9, which will feature extended/club mixes and a remix from Innervisions boss Âme. The release comes alongside lush new visuals from Hugo Richel (Balenciaga, Lil Nas X), bringing new dimensions to Mind Against’s new sound, along with a mind-bending new live show titled HABITAT, which debuted in April at London Roundhouse.

Hailing from Italy and currently based in Lisbon, brothers Alessandro and Federico Fogini have made a name for themselves as Mind Against in the global dance music scene, becoming known for their emotionally rich sound palette.

With their signature deep and immersive take on house and techno and their continually masterful “all-night-long” performances, the duo has risen to become a globally in-demand and lauded act in the underground dance music space.

With a mission to resurrect sounds and trends that have come and gone, DJ Tennis (real name Manfredi Romano) minted Life and Death during a time when minimal, percussive music was dominating the underground. Romano broke the mold by directing soulful, lively sounds to the foreground alongside his own post-rock influences, resulting in beloved records from the likes of Red Axes, Recondite, Carlita, Jimi Jules, and more.

Romano‘s decade-spanning experience in the music industry—from punk band tour manager to event organizer, artist, label head, and everything in between—has sculpted him into the ideal tastemaker.

He’s performed and collaborated on original music with LP Giobbi and Alex Metric, remixed the likes of Maribou State and Jungle, performed b2b sets with Gerd Janson and Kerri Chandler, and also has served as the manager for Tale Of Us and Carlita.

“Working with Chromeo on my album is a real moment for me in my career. Both as a “fan boy” as I’ve followed these guys for years and they are a real influence on Purple Disco Machine; but also as a “producer” as 10 years ago I couldn’t even dream about a day when I would go into the studio with Dave & Patrick and make a record together. And….probably only these guys could get me singing and dancing in a video!!!”

Purple Disco Machine

Here’s what Chromeo had to say:

“Tino’s got modern disco on lock. He’s really the one who found a sound to make it work in so many different club settings, and then cross over to a mainstream audience. We’ve been following his career for years and when we finally met he told us that back in the day he flew from Germany to London to catch one of our shows.

We were like “whatever you need, we got you.” He brought this demo to us and it basically produced itself. We hope that our lyrical twists and synth touches add a little chrome je-ne-sais-quoi to his winning formula.”

DGTL announce full ADE lineup for 2024 edition

ADE 2024 sees DGTL return to its renowned home, the iconic NDSM Warehouse, with a program hailed annually as the tastemaker of Amsterdam’s showcase festival. From Thursday, October 17 to Sunday, October 20, DGTL will host seven shows over four days, where visitors can enjoy a standout lineup of DJs and live acts.

DGTL opens its ADE weekend with Caribou, performing their first Dutch live show in two years. The infectious energy and unique blend of alternative electronica, indie rock and a touch of jazz have made the live band around Dan Snaith high-profile. The Canadian proved earlier this year that Caribou also carries a raw sting, dropping the unadulterated club track “Honey” to widespread critical acclaim.

That edge alone promises to make Caribou‘s DGTL ADE show an unforgettable experience. Caribou will be followed by an evening of melodic techno, with performances by Colyn, Jan Blomqvist (+drums), Mathame, Fideles, Nicky Elisabeth and Miss Monique, among others.

DGTL ADE 2024

On Friday, Nils Frahm will provide a magical evening, transforming the NDSM Warehouse into his own Berlin Funkhaus studio for 2.5 hours. Expect a unique, immersive show in which he blurs the boundaries between classical music and modern electronic sounds with virtuoso performances on piano and synthesizers. A unique, enchanting experience that will appeal to fans of electronic music and lovers of classical music alike.

Saturday now traditionally revolves around The Blessed Madonna‘s extravagant We Still Believe. In addition to The Blessed Madonna herself, Marie Davidson will perform live as will Kenny Dope, revered globally as one half of legendary house duo Masters at Work.

Festival goers can expect sets from a stacked line-up of major talent, including from Avalon Emerson, Bashkka, and eccentric Berlin artist Patrick Mason, who recently showed off his energetic techno to a frenzied crowd on the Generator Stage at DGTL Festival.

After the colorful daytime program, the night turns pitch black, with a harder program that seeks the ragged edges of industrial, hardstyle and raw techno. Brutalismus 3000 presents a mammoth takeover under the banner “Brutalismus 3000 Invites“, including Boys Noize, Rebekah, Salome, Lúcia Lu, DJ Hyperdrive, Raven and, of course, the celebrated duo itself.

Last Sunday’s edition of DGTL ADE proved to be a golden one. For many, Gou Talk by Peggy Gou is the perfect way to end ADE in spectacular fashion. No surprise then that Gou Talk returns for a second time, with 2024’s edition featuring Peggy Gou, Bambounou, Marie Montexier, Anz, Salamanda, Spray and Brain de Palma, among others.
