Hï Ibiza Announces Stellar Lineups For Fisher & Vintage Culture’s 2024 Residency

Hï Ibiza’s powerhouse Wednesday residents FISHER and Vintage Culture are back this summer with another masterfully curated season of guests at the World’s No. 1 Club. Grammy-nominated FISHER returns to the Theatre alongside top-tier guests from across the electronic spectrum on Wednesdays from 5 June – 2 Oct, while Brazil’s most famous house export Vintage Culture headlines the Club Room.

FISHER has remained one of the most prominent names in dance music since his unthinkably huge hit ‘Losing It‘ propelled him onto the world stage. His sound traverses a wide spectrum of styles from deep to vocal, jacking to tech, and that is reflected in the tastefully eclectic mix of names who will join him each week at Hï Ibiza this summer.

Amongst the many highlights are tech house titans Andrea Oliva & Nic Fanciulli, the maximal house sounds of British artists Chris Lake and Cloonee, underground grooves from house and techno party starters DJ Boring b2b Sally C, and dance music legend and big beat creator Fatboy Slim.

Get ready for the awe-inspiring melodics of Italian pair Fideles, bumping grooves from Dutchman Franky Rizardo, raw and direct house from Chicago originator Green Velvet, and melodic techno from Kevin De Vries and Loco Dice.

There’s a special house set from cult Berlin dancer and DJ Patrick Mason, a coming together of bass, house and techno from Skream b2b Salute, world-beating tech house from Solardo, and direct action from TSHA. All this, plus Airrica, Alec Monopoly, Alex Kennon, Arielle Free, Honeyluv, Joshwa, Kitty Amor, Little Fritter, Marco Lys, Prunk, Sarah Story, Sosa and SYREETA will all be joining the Australian superstar DJ this season.

When FISHER takes a short mid-season paternity break, fellow Hï Ibiza resident Patrick Topping will take on Wednesdays from 19 June to 10 July, bringing his superb Trick event series to the Theatre for four explosive Wednesday nights. The UK tastemaker has been delivering high-octane house, techno and beyond every Monday in his Club Room residency, so expect more incredible special guests and Trick favorites to join Patrick in the booth at these special Theatre takeovers.

Vintage Culture will continue his vital Club Room residency on Wednesdays at Hï Ibiza. The Brazilian hit-maker is responsible for an unprecedented number of essential house tracks, both as a solo artist and in collaboration with some of the biggest names in the scene. He brings rolling bass, rich melody and plenty of feel-good factor to his sets, as will all of the high profile guests who join him this summer.

They include rising progressive house talent Adam Sellouk, the melodic mastery of Agents of Time, fresh tech house from Ibiza favorites Andrea Oliva b2b Arodes, darker sounds from Brazil’s Anna, and classically informed house music from US pioneer Dennis Ferrer.

Watch out for eclectic and bass driven selections from Eats Everything b2b Dan Shake, indie-tinged dance from Elderbrook, the cultured depths of Francis Mercier, soulful influences from Honeyluv, serene techno soundscapes from Joris Voorn and Kölsch, melodic prog from Korolova, the fresh club anthems of hit-maker Mau P, and emerging Brazilian innovator Maz.

Secret Garden Party Roots will be taking SGP back to where it all began. Bringing the anarchic freedom of their early formative years, whilst breaking down the divide between artist and audiences. They promise to create an intimacy and liberation that other festivals rarely offer in this space.

This year they will reintroduce iconic areas from previous years, including The Lost Woods, Doghouse, The Garden Shed and The Pagoda. Tomorrowland’s world-renowned One World Radio starts counting down the Tomorrowland Top 1000, an overview of the most iconic tracks in the history of Tomorrowland festival.

The past weeks, Tomorrowland and its official radio station launched a voting poll to determine this year’s Tomorrowland Top 1000. For the sixth year in a row, One World Radio is now taking listeners on a complete rundown of the absolute highlights of electronic music history with the grand finale and the announcement of the ultimate number 1 on Friday May 10.

Last year, the People of Tomorrow massively voted for their favorite tracks, resulting in an eclectic top 10 with iconic anthems by Avicii, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia and many more.

Nu Aspect and Jem Cooke deliver ‘Distraction’ on Tomorrowland Music x Selected.

Tomorrowland Music and Selected. – two of dance music’s most esteemed record labels – have teamed up for an exciting collaborative EP, co-released through both imprints. For the second release, UK producer & DJ Nu Aspect and fellow UK singer/songwriter Jem Cooke have come together to deliver an energizing dance anthem with magnetic vocals and restless energy, combining into a well-executed dancefloor cut.

Here’s what Nu Aspect had to say about it:

“I’ve been working on various versions of ‘Distraction’ for over a year now. It’s essentially based around my love for some of the early 2000’s trance sounds trying to put a modern almost progressive spin to it.

And with Jem Cooke and myself having been trying to work on a track together for some time, I knew that she would smash it and contribute to the vibe in such a cool way. After some back and forth, we finished up the vocals and ‘Distraction’ was pieced together to what it is now. A banger!”

Speaking about the collaboration Jem Cooke said:

“The lyrics to ‘Distraction’ are definitely open to interpretation – they were a stream of consciousness one day when I was feeling a bit restless like I needed something ​I didn’t have but I couldn’t quite put my finger on. I’ve loved Sam’s (Nu Aspect’s) production for ages and was super keen to work something out with him, so being able to collaborate with him and have another release with both Selected. and Tomorrowland Music on this one is a dream.”

Tomorrowland Music‘s and Selected.‘s collaborative is made up of a string of brand-new productions by some of electronic music’s finest talents. Having kicked off with the first two releases ‘Heartbeat Slow‘ by Astrality, Jyll and Dillistone and ‘Distraction‘ by Nu Aspect and Jem Cooke, more new music will be unveiled over the coming months leading up to Tomorrowland Belgium 2024.

Deadmau5 recently chatted with host Richard Vission on SiriusXM Pitbull’s Globalization show Powertools. During their conversation, Deadmau5 talks about the first time he put on his famous mouse ears and claims it all started as a joke with his friend.

Powertools hosted by Richard Vission airs Saturdays at 11pm ET on SiriusXM‘s Pitbull’s Globalization (channel 13).

Richard Vission: So looking back on 25 years, and we look at the mouse ears. I wanna know the first time you put it on was it like, “What the fuck am I doing? This sucks.”

Deadmau5: Yes, yes. No, well, it wasn’t this sucks.

Richard Vission: Or was it like “I’m a genius. I should have done this five years before.”

Deadmau5: I had no idea what the outcome was. Much of my whole career was just the start of an inside joke.

Richard Vission: What was the inside joke?

Deadmau5: Well, the inside joke was like, okay, blah, blah, blah, I made a mouse head in 3D and then I sent it to a friend and then he put it on himself like I superimposed it on an image, Jay Gordon from Orgy actually. I sent a picture to him and he told me, he said, “Well, if you ever perform live, you need to like actually make that and wear it.”

And I’m like, “That’s stupid.” I’m like, but that’s just kind of funny. But yeah, whatever. And you know, and this kind of run in my head for years and years and years, and it just like, everybody thought it was really cool and I was just like, “Wow, that actually kind of was a good idea.” Even though I didn’t mean it to be, because like everyone, no one’s gonna forget that.

Martin Garrix remains one of dance music’s most successful stars and his residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza is one of the White Isle’s ultimate music experiences. This summer the iconic event, which runs every Thursday from 20 June – 26 Sept at the scene-leading open-air venue, will welcome a world-class mix of names from the vanguard of the electronic scene.

Returning for his seventh summer residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza, Martin Garrix will once again deliver an explosive party atmosphere, along with fresh sounds from the world of electro, house and progressive that never fail to leave a mark on tens of thousands of clubbers each summer.

The Dutch superstar, who once again made it into the Top 3 of DJ Mag’s influential DJ Mag poll last year, continues to operate in a musical world all of his own. His dance sounds are powerful both emotionally and physically and are never far from the top of the charts.

Due to overwhelming success, Tomorrowland is excited to announce that ‘The Great Library of Tomorrow’, the festival’s unique immersive audio-visual experience for all ages, will be opening its doors in the heart of Madrid in the fall of 2024.

Since its very first introduction to the world in Barcelona in December 2023, ‘The Great Library of Tomorrow‘ has been attracting more than 40.000 visitors from 56 different countries around the world over the past months to embark on an unprecedented VR experience and explore Tomorrowland‘s captivating themes like never before. Now it’s time for a new chapter in the capital of Spain, redefining the magic of Tomorrowland.

Legendary DJ and producer David Guetta has shared a massive Hardwell & Olly James remix of his recent smash single ‘I Don’t Wanna Wait’ with Grammy-nominated OneRepublic.

With the original at 62 million streams and counting since its release last month, the new hardcore remix by Dutch Big Room legend Hardwell and UK producer Olly James gives ‘I Don’t Wanna Wait’ a breathless high BPM update, adding huge synth riffs and pulsating snare build ups.

Hardwell has carved out a long-lasting legacy within the electronic music world throughout his expansive career as a successful DJ, producer, remixer, label boss, filmmaker, and philanthropist.

Now up to 62M global streams (climbing a massive 38% this week), ‘I Don’t Wanna Wait’ hit a new Spotify peak of #89 on the global chart this week, as well as charting in 27 markets and hitting the top 50 across 12 markets.

Purple Disco Machine, Benjamin Ingrosso, Nile Rodgers & Shenseea Unveil ‘Honey Boy’

World-renowned DJ and producer Purple Disco Machine has teamed up with Swedish hit maker Benjamin Ingrosso global music icon Nile Rodgers and Jamaican rising star Shenseea to release their eagerly anticipated single Honey Boy’.

‘Honey Boy‘ sees the four musical powerhouses unite to create an electrifying summer anthem. Combining the infectious grooves of classic funky disco with modern pop sensibilities, ‘Honey Boy’ transports listeners to a realm of pure euphoria with its rhythm, vocals and driving energy.

The single has become a firm favorite in Benjamin Ingrosso‘s captivating live performances, who introduced the song as a special addition to his sets. Inspired by its underlying funk vibes, Purple Disco Machine added his nu disco signature touch to the track setting the stage for a collaboration of epic proportions.

To elevate the single to its ultimate potential and to maximize the connection with disco past and present, Purple Disco Machine enlisted the legendary Nile Rodgers to add his trademark iconic guitar licks, taking the track to new heights. Completing the ensemble with her dynamic vocals, Shenseea emerged as the perfect addition, solidifying the track’s status as a surefire hit.

Benjamin Ingrosso tells the story in his own words:

“I came up with “Honey Boy” at a nightclub in Stockholm, carried away by the rhythm of a house beat that instantly had me humming along to what would become the chorus. That melody haunted me for an entire year. It wasn’t until I found myself in a Chinese restaurant, nodding along to a disco track, that it all clicked. It had to become a disco song.

The song, shaped by a memorable encounter in the city’s nightlife, quickly moved from concept to studio recording. Once recorded, we all felt the potential the song had and that we had to add more talented influences to make it reach its full potential. I reached out to Tino (Purple Disco Machine) to see if he wanted to finalize it with me, which he wanted!

After having gone back and forth and crafted what we believed was the perfect foundation for the song, we reached out to Shenseea who joined in and added her touch to the record. On my Europe tour I have been teasing the song and “Honey Boy” has proven irresistible, compelling everyone to dance.”
