The Chainsmokers will Headline NYC’s biggest Halloween party, Twilight Harbor

Ignite Group and Nebula have joined forces to bring two of the world’s greatest superstar DJ duos to Brooklyn Navy Yard’s massive stage for NYC’s biggest Halloween party, Twilight Harbor.

The Chainsmokers will headline on Friday, October 27th with special guests Dillion Francis, Forester, and Press Play will spin. Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike will headline their first US show in over four years at Twilight Harbor on Saturday, October 28th.

Brooklyn Navy Yard will be transformed into a visually-stunning 104,000 square foot playground, combining captivating set designs, lasers, lights and special effects to set the perfect Halloween scene. Tequila Don Julio joins the Twilight Harbor festival as the exclusive Tequila sponsor serving up signature craft cocktails and a luxury drinks experience.

VIP attendees can enjoy premium bottle service and cheers to a night celebrating the spooky season with incredible music and premium tequila. Nebula will host the night’s VIP SkyDeck experience.

Parisian house phenomenon Martin Solveig is back with his hotly anticipated new album Back To Life, out now via POSITIVA/EMI.

His first LP since 2011, Back To Life was worth the wait: jam-packed with unforgettable melodies, zesty productions and talented collaborators, this is a life-affirming new sound from Martin Solveig.

Album opener and latest single ‘I Don’t Wanna Work’ pairs a classic Solveig disco groove with the infectious vocal hooks of Stefflon Don, and ‘Coffee at Tiffany’s’ maintains the party vibe with Raphaella’s sweet melodies over funk bass.

‘Lost’ strips back the groove for a more reflective and heartfelt moment, while ‘Bite Size’ with Ina Wroldsen is a piano ballad set to a disco stomp.

House music legends Soul Central and UK techno newcomer Syncia join forces with a remarkable remix of Sgt Slick’s massive re-imagining of the 1980 INXS hit ‘Just Keep Walking’.

This fantastic remix showcases expert drum programming and string work from the collaboration between Soul Central and Syncia paired with dark textures and monster bass lines that have become synonymous with their chart topping productions. Perfectly capturing the essence of the original mix while simultaneously highlighting their own distinctive sounds, this mix maintains an air of punk fueled energy directed at the dancefloor, raw and energetic in all the right places.

The Original mix, which first started off as a bootleg now has the official stamp of approval from the iconic Australian band eventually earning a full release on the renowned Neon Records. With its sleek and modern production, it received a massive response when first played at the annual IMS Conference in Ibiza this summer and premiered on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 show.

Soul Central is most famously known for their version of ‘Strings Of Life’ which became a worldwide anthem and one of the most prominent songs in clubland. The duo Paul Timothy and Matt Mckillop are presently celebrating 20 years at the forefront of House Music recently launching their label CENTRL Music with fantastic reworks of their all time classic.

With a myriad of residencies and appearances spanning across Europe, Australia and Asia on the cards including a massive NYE gig in Vietnam alongside Fatboy Slim, Soul Central’s sound continues to guide the pulse of clubland, orchestrating a sustained celebration of the ever captivating realms of House music.

Syncia is fast becoming a serious name to watch on the global Techno circuit. Delivering a stream of releases that continue to find favour with major DJs, whilst engaging clubbers across the world with unbridled energy, driving drums and a defined underground edge.

2023 has seen the UK producer conjure an impressive catalogue of music in a short period of time, most notably serving as the initial release on Release LDN with his self-titled E.P, ‘Syncia‘ and most recently delivering a compelling three-track package on Dense & Pika lauded Kneaded Pains which achieved the top spot on both the Beatport Techno and Melodic House & Techno charts and reached a rather impressive #19 positions in all releases.

Öwnboss and Outflux team up on ‘Preacher’, released on Tomorrowland Music

Brazilian superstar Öwnboss has teamed up with fellow Brazilian DJ & producer Outflux on their sexy house anthem ‘Preacher’, released on Tomorrowland Music! ‘Preacher’ is infused with Öwnboss’ signature bass house groove and lush vocals by the Los Angeles-based vocalist No/Me, immediately bringing a fresh vibe, sounding catchy as hell as it keeps moving on tasty bass lines and synth-heavy chords.

‘Preacher‘ by Öwnboss & Outflux is part of a collection of specially curated festival releases by Tomorrowland Music leading up to Tomorrowland Brasil, celebrating the return of Tomorrowland to Brazil on October 12-14, 2023 by gathering some of the most prominent artists in electronic music on Tomorrowland‘s record imprint.

Here’s what Öwnboss had to say about the release:

“I’ve been working with Outflux for years, he’s a talented Brazilian producer who became a friend. So, we are always talking and ‘Preacher’ caught my attention from the beginning. When I heard it for the first time, it was already great. The vocals of the super talented and hit maker No/Me were incredible and I knew I could add a lot in terms of production.

From then on, we adjusted the project and got in touch with Tomorrowland Music as we knew it would fit perfectly with the label. ​The production of ‘Preacher’ was challenging. How to musicalize a song with such a sonorous, pure and striking vocal? Our job, then, was not to fight with it, but cooperate and join efforts. In other words, we looked for a production that worked in favor of the track’s vocals, so that it was the protagonist; where the melodic progression and synths were present, important and catchy, but that didn’t never steal the spotlight from the voice. So we made the entire song based on the vocals and the synth drop, which in my opinion is the highlight of this song.”

Speaking about the release Outflux said: “We wanted the drop to sound powerful, but catchy, so we decided to use a unique type of sound for the main lead. We went after something that sounded cool, but also different, and that’s when we came up with this heavily distorted lo-fi type of sound. We used No/Me’s vocals a lot for the ear candies, we re-pitched a couple of ad libs, made some weird sounding stuff, and made it fit into the drop. The final result turned out awesome.”

Charlotte de Witte Unveils Highly-Anticipated EP, “Power Of Thought” on KNTXT

Techno phenomenon Charlotte de Witte unveils her brand-new EP “Power Of Thought”, out now on her own KNTXT label.

The trio begins with the title track “Power Of Thought” – which immediately erupts into a hypnotic techno beat interspersed with spoken mantras of mindfulness. This is followed by “Pria”, a pulsating journey featuring hypnotic, mantra-like vocals.

The EP ends with the ambient track “Abada”, punctuated with the occasional drum and chanting vocals before it quickly strips away to silence.

Charlotte de Witte – Power Of Thought EP

“For ‘Power Of Thought’, I wanted to create an EP that touches deeper emotions and captivates the meditative trance you have when you let go on the dance floor,” says de Witte.

“‘Pria’ has already brought me a lot of joy over the last few months when I have played it during my sets. It offers a moment of reflection and a chance to catch your breath during the rougher, more peak-time tracks I play.

‘Abada’ is a track that I really enjoyed making. I discovered these magical chanting vocals and I just knew I wanted to use them in a track. Though this track is maybe less playable in one of my sets, I feel that Abada found its home on this EP and completes the ‘Power Of Thought’ circle” she adds.

Best known for her “dark and stripped-back” brand of techno and crossover to other sounds of the underground, Charlotte de Witte pushes the boundaries of the electronic genre with music that has a distinct and unforgettable sound that is uniquely her own. De Witte’s innovative ability allows her to seamlessly blend genres and styles that have won her a dedicated fan base and critical acclaim.

“Power Of Thought” is the follow-up EP to de Witte’s “Overdrive” EP, campaign and tour, which recently wrapped with a Los Angeles takeover last month and included performances at Brooklyn Mirage, Primavera Sound, Rock Werchter, Super Bock Super Rock, Lowlands, and Rock En Seine.

The “Power Of Thought” release will include an exclusive apparel drop as well and will coincide with the opening day of KNTXT Turbo Club, de Witte’s epic 3-day pop-up event series taking over Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) from October 19 – 21, 2023.

With a different “KNTXT” each day, the turbo-charged pop-up will feature a massive lineup of performances, a dedicated KNTXT shop, immersive music experiences, and other surprises at an undisclosed location in Amsterdam. Capacity will be very limited and tickets can be purchased HERE!

A State of Trance has unveiled the initial roster of artists for its highly anticipated 2024 edition

Armin van Buuren’s A State of Trance has announced the first phase of artists for the first edition in their newly adopted home base, Rotterdam. Armin van Buuren, Cosmic Gate, Ferry Corsten, HI-LO, Laura van Dam, Maddix and MORTEN are just a few of the first names.

A State of Trance, the iconic music event curated by Armin van Buuren, has unveiled the initial roster of artists for its highly anticipated 2024 edition in their newly adopted home base, Rotterdam.

Armin van Buuren, along with trance music luminaries Cosmic Gate, Ferry Corsten, HI-LO, John O’Callaghan, Laura van Dam, Maddix, and MORTEN, are among the first wave of acts revealed. Notably, A State of Trance 2024 marks the return of NWYR after a five-year hiatus. The inaugural event in Rotterdam will also see Armin van Buuren perform on both days with a unique set full of surprises planned for each.

With the announcement of phase 1 of the line-up, A State of Trance is welcoming back many of its fan-favorites, the acts that have shaped the event over the years. Fans can keep their eyes peeled on the A State of Trance channels over the following weeks as the rest of the programme is revealed step by step, expect A State of Trance debutants, exclusive back-to-back sets and a whole new daytime .

Back in June it was announced that A State of Trance will be leaving their base in Utrecht in 2024, moving to Rotterdam for the very first time. In addition to the change in location, A State of Trance will be expanding into a two-day event including extensive daytime programming complementing two nights of the indoor festival.

Visitors will be able to attend masterclasses, panels, artists meet & greets, pre-parties and many other activities throughout the day in and around the A State of Trance Hotel, which will serve as the weekend’s central hub.

To ensure an unparalleled experience, A State of Trance introduces the A State of Trance Hotel, taking over the Room Mate Bruno Hotel for the entire weekend. This exclusive hotel will host many of the daytime activities, making it the official hub for the event. After a night of trance music, attendees can retreat to the A State of Trance Hotel, creating the perfect harmony between music and relaxation.

DGTL has announced the full lineup for their debut USA editions, taking place in New York City on December 1st and Los Angeles on December 2nd. Held in partnership with premier underground event collectives Teksupport and Stranger Than; in LA, DGTL’s US debut will showcase its acclaimed audiovisual experience and the leading selectors in house and techno.
