Ex Medias Collective Returns For Multi-Genre Sophomore Compilation in ‘WE ARE EX MEDIAS VOL II’

Artist Collective EX Medias returns for a sophomore compilation album promptly titled WE ARE EX MEDIAS VOL II. This time, the compilation features a quaint 5 songs from it’s hefty member list, acts Galena Crew, Blank Ages, #BBC, AireLoosh, and TURBO all making an appearance.

The label was founded by DJ/producer Able Grey – real name Peter Ceko – bringing to life a vision which has been years in the making.

The mission of the collective is to foster community based on supporting one another, inspiring successful actions, and helping maintain the tried and true path each member is destined to be on with their career path. The collective radiates passion and integrity, each name fashioning a corner of a fascinating lexicon of talent with no preconceptions or false flexes staged.

WE ARE EX MEDIAS VOL II. is kicked off by Galena Crew and featured vocalist Finn. The single instantly pulls the listener into a fantasy-driven cinematic world brought forth by lush soundscape, angelic verses, and side-chain synths that rip on a heavenly level. The single doesn’t overdo it with extreme technicality and clunky writing – the moments are smooth and fluid, allowing the rich mood to be present and impactful.

Blank Ages follows up with “Shanghai Dreams,” a vibe that will keep you on your toes as to what will come next. Unique samples and rhythms launch the listener into a space that’s all its own. Unique static effects tease a dichotomy of genres all in the same go, the listener is suddenly launched into a plethora of breaks along with drum and bass – an all instrumental experience unfolding with a sense of theatrical drama. High energy and leaving you wanting more, the song helps one get sinked into the quality journey that Ex Medias brings to the table.

Next up is #BBC shakes things up with a heart melting, soul-stirring vibe in “So Long.” A bit more eased and laidback, the intricacies of what’s at hand easily settled into the senses. The dynamic vocal work is the focal point of the song, with the melodic trap drops delivering a fitting juxtaposition to the theme.

AireLoosh hashes out the heat with a festival-ready instrumental banger not for the faint of heart. “Gaze,” is the name of the game, blending in dark-trap flavors with strong written drops. The tension and release mixed with extreme energy levels leaves one with a jaw dropping impression of the power AireLoosh is capable of. Sonic surprises are found across this compilation, but AirLoosh is a brilliant corner to this collective experience.

Last, but certainly not least, TURBO rounds things off with a riddim-laced release “Breathing Danger.” Head banging suspense is around every turn here. Lightning-fast lasers and dirty basslines grind through to build a hard-hitting fabric every basshead would revel in. It’s the arrangement and sound design that allows this single to stand out, this artist bringing a diverse compilation to a close.

MDMA in Clubs and Festivals: Risks, Overdose, and First Help

Ecstasy (MDMA or MDA) is one of the most common and addictive drugs in the world, especially in night clubs and music festivals. Its popularity can be compared to cocaine and marijuana. MDMA was originally developed as a drug to improve blood clotting, but as a result was ineffective.

Amphetamines (AMs) are a group of substances that includes synthetic stimulants, including amphetamine, methamphetamine, methcathinone, and ecstasy-like substances (such as MDMA and MDA). This category of drugs has similar chemical features and actions.

Most often, MDMA is sold in the form of colored capsules or tablets weighing from 200 to 400 mg. The most popular places for the distribution of ecstasy are music festivals, nightclubs, parties, and other places of mass youth recreation – this is why MDMA is called a party drug. In case of an overdose in a club, you should immediately call drug rehabs near me. However, before the emergency arrives you should take measures, which we discuss in this article.

MDMA overdose

An ecstasy overdose is one of the most common causes of death from the chemical compound, according to drug rehab centers. Mainly, the substances contained in the tablets affect the brain, causing serotonin syndrome. It should be understood that the average dose of methylenedioxymethamphetamine is about 100-150 mg. Such an amount is not enough for a fatal result. However, a person who has taken this amount may think that it is not enough and take more. The action of the narcotic effect will not increase, but the probability of a fatal outcome will increase.

For minors, an overdose of ecstasy occurs with the use of an adult dose. It is impossible to accurately calculate the amount of a substance that can be fatal for any person. For each person, an overdose of drugs of this type is different and depends on a lot of factors. Based on studies of ecstasy, there is evidence that a dose of more than 25 micrograms per kilogram of body weight is fatal.

There is also a group of people who are more prone to the effects of drug overdose symptoms than others. They include hypersensitive people who have passed it on through hereditary links. People with an allergic reaction to methylenedioxymethamphetamine are extremely rare. There is a possibility of anaphylactic shock in users of the drug with such an ailment. Those who have similar features should not use MDMA under any circumstances, including for the prevention of mental disorders, as an overdose of ecstasy can occur after consuming any amount of the drug.

How MDMA interacts with other substances

It is well known that, in addition to the main harm of using methylenedioxymethamphetamine, when combined with other substances, the probability of the appearance of drug overdose symptoms increases several times. Thus, if you take, for example, ritonavir together with MDMA tablets, the concentration of amphetamines in the blood increases, but the desired effect is weakened. At the same time, the side effects of ecstasy increase.

When the drug is combined with other substances of the amphetamine series, the effect is synergistic, the toxicity and concentration of both substances increases, and the consequences of drug overdose can become irreversible. At the same time, it is necessary to take measures very quickly. It is necessary to apply first aid in case of drug overdose, as well as to call an ambulance.

When using ecstasy with antidepressants, the risk of serotonin syndrome is maximum. Due to the opposite effect of the latter, it may seem that antidepressants should reduce the level of harmful effects of MDMA, but in fact it only causes a worsening of the condition, which entails a fatal outcome.

What to do in case of MDMA overdose?

In cases where you, your friends or partners have an overdose at a club, it is necessary to take urgent measures to neutralize the substance in the blood after calling drug rehab near me. Help with a drug overdose must be given immediately after symptoms are detected, even before the arrival of an ambulance or specialists from a drug rehabilitation center.

It is highly not recommended to use medication. First of all, you should lower the patient’s body temperature with a compress using cold water. Further action should be a procedure that induces vomiting. To do this, let the patient drink salt water, provoking urges after each liter. This action will contribute to the fastest possible removal of the stimulant from the body. So that the patient does not die of dehydration, it is necessary to continue to feed them with plain water or tea.

If the patient’s condition is still difficult, you should put several cold objects on their body and limbs. It is extremely important that the patient remains conscious. If the person is still disconnected, it is necessary to perform artificial respiration and lower the body temperature by rubbing with cold water.

Discover Australian label FLOW MUSIC’s unique mix series – FLOW SESSIONS

Nothing distinguishes a DJ more than their own mixing style and individual track selection. Time and place certainly play an important role but it’s a DJs unique mix which makes for a distinctive signature sound.

From sun-soaked festivals to sweaty euphoric club nights, those looking to escape the world come together for an unforgettable experience. This can only be brought to life through the pure craft and dedication of the phenomenal artists behind the decks.

Incredibly pieced together sets, whether recorded live or for a podcast and worldwide mix series, set the tone for the direction of club culture and provide an insight into the euphoric scene which has long since landed on every continent of the planet.

Gone are the days of mixtapes being passed on from hand to hand. Today it’s predominantly streaming channels like Soundcloud where mixes are found. These danceable recordings stick often to a duration of just one hour, much like the classic tape and set length.

Australian based Flow Music has taken it to the next level and invited DJs worldwide to a special series. The FLOW SESSIONS have a fixed length of 3 hours and 33 minutes which allows the artists to take the listener on a personal journey and really share their true love of music. This is a significant statement in the fast-paced world of TikTok and short attention spans.

Artists such as Anja Schneider, Nick Warren, AFFKT, Super Flu, Jonas Saalbach and many more talented individuals deliver beautifully assembled sounds which invite you to dive in deep until you’re fully submersed. At points, the set can be impulsive and tense before re-emerging in absolute harmony with warmer, more organic compositions.

The authenticity is defined through this melodic spectrum. Using this format, Flow has created one of the most important mix series worldwide, instead of the generic and impersonal algorithms of streaming services, an endorphin stimulating alternative: Life-changing audio trips in 3.33h length that you cannot forget.

In the meantime, the main series FLOW SESSIONS has been joined by the 333 SESSIONS – exclusively reserved for Australian artists – making it possible to take a peek into the bubbling scene that the continent has to offer.

In addition to this and totally independent of the hype surrounding FLOW SESSIONS, Flow has also launched FLOW SESSIONS LIVE. A series focused on the live aspect of electronic music with instruments and live vocals, presenting these not only aurally but also visually. The first step of another exciting journey begins.

Each of the Flow Sessions features an original artwork by Jai Piccone, one of the founders and curators of the series. Each individually designed artwork is inspired by the mix itself.

Cat Dealers, Lukas Vane & Elise LeGrow Drop Banging Rework of Dennis Ferrer’s ‘Hey Hey’ (Heard You Say)

Cat Dealers

Cat Dealers’ studio output has been off the charts lately, and their next release on Armada Music will surely have fans buzzing with excitement.

Made in tandem with Dutch producer Lukas Vane and Canadian songstress Elise LeGrow, premiered at EDC Las Vegas and touted as one of the Brazilian brothers’ most requested songs since, ‘Hey Hey (Heard You Say)‘ might just be their most banging production yet.

A no-holds-barred cover of Dennis Ferrer‘s iconic 2009 track ‘Hey Hey‘, Cat Dealers, Lukas Vane and Elise LeGrow‘s ‘Hey Hey (Heard You Say)‘ radiates a heavy club attitude from the get-go. With thick bass slaps, killer vocals, anthemic synths and exceptionally potent grooves, this late-night house anthem will dominate dance floors big time.

“We were in touch with Lukas [Vane] about a collab possibility”, Cat Dealers explain. “He sent us a track he was working on, but we didn’t love the vocals, so we decided to do a mashup using the classic ‘Hey Hey’ vocals and it fit perfectly. So we continued building the whole track around the vocals and eventually it was recorded by the amazing Elise LeGrow. The response has been amazing and it’s definitely one of our favorite tracks of 2022.”
