Renaissance announce their first ever various artists (V/A) EP!

Renaissance

Renaissance are delighted to announce their first ever various artists (V/A) EP!

It may seem strange to say that, but it’s true, in all of the brand’s near thirty-year history, it has never dipped its toe in the water of V/As. The ‘Merin’ EP (FYI, Merin is Yoruba for four) will – you guessed it – always feature four key cuts from the planet’s best and marks its debut with a diverse haul that looks across three continents to present a multi-genre package.

Freshly minted from his Øostil partnership, Mexico’s HeÎk demonstrates his solo-studio prowess with ‘Eunoia’, a powerful, yet beautiful melodic techno ride; Holland’s Rob Hes provides ‘Undivided’, which has a similar style and feel so we guess you could consider it a Europe vs South America MH&T-showdown. The winner, of course, is entirely up to you!

The other half of the package goes solely to Canada and comes courtesy of three of the Montreal’s brightest talents – UNDERHER & Shades Of Blk and Woe. UNDERHER’s collaboration with Shades Of Blk, ‘Yesterday’, further confirms his status as one of the finest vocal-driven producers at work today; featuring the haunting vocals of Eleonora, the track walks the deft line between deep and organic, and will likely find favour with both camps. Woe on the other hand, takes things into indie territory with ‘Episode’, a twisted, dark, arp-infused composition that will no doubt delight and terrify in equal measure.

Early supporters of the ‘Merin’ EP include Dubfire, Dave Seaman, Fur Coat, Pig & Dan, Hernan Cattaneo, Soul Button, Claude Von Stroke, Anthony Pappa, BLANCAh, 8Kays, Julian Wassermann, and Raphael Mader.

Monolink releases his brand new track ‘The Prey’

Monolink
Monolink Portrait Berlin, Kreuzberg, 2021

With a forced hiatus in international touring casting a shadow over the past twelve months, Monolink has been channelling his boundless creativity by dedicating an unprecedented amount of time into doing what he enjoys most – writing music.

Riding a remarkable wave of success off the back of his two huge 2020 singles (Sinner and Otherside) the celebrated German producer, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist now looks to emulate this endeavour into 2021, with the announcement of his next mesmerising offering, The Prey.

Out now via Embassy One, Ultra Records and Sweat It Out, The Prey is the third stunning single to be taken from Monolink’s upcoming sophomore studio album, and one which sees Steffen explore an increasingly despondent and melancholic timbre to its two predecessors.

Transporting listeners into his own reflective dimension of sonic exploration, Monolink’s beautiful harmonies are tempered by chugging down-tempo beats and warped analog synthesizers, with Steffen’s unmistakable topline and trademark lyrics of human iniquity forming the backbone of the narrative.

Speaking about the concept behind the record, Monolink commented:

The Prey’ is a story of seduction, of using each other. It’s a story of projection, of only seeing yourself in the other. It’s a story of realization, of waking up from a dream”.

Rooted in a guitar-focused musical background, Monolink has managed to remain one of the most dynamic melodic techno selectors on the scene, tastefully straddling the fence of electronic producer and live singer-songwriter – incorporating the beat and groove of electronic music into his compositions, creating the ultimate examples of melodic dance music.

Maxim Lany announces debut artist album and releases new album single: ‘Shadows’ (feat. Nathan Nicholson)

Maxim Lany

When trying to process the pure emotion that overflows the mind in challenging times, it is all but uncommon for people to resort to music. For both listeners and creators, it has the ability to help put things in perspective and shed the negative in favor of the positive.

Music has been having a similar effect on Maxim Lany during these lockdown times, so much so that he saw fit to put together an entire album full of hope and positivity. And that musically inspired story starts today with the release of ‘Shadows‘ (feat. Nathan Nicholson), which coincides with the announcement of Maxim‘s first-ever artist album to be released later this year: ‘Closer, You’re Not Alone‘.

A signature Maxim Lany track set to shine on its creator’s forthcoming debut album, ‘Shadows‘ is as captivating as they come. An outpouring of vocal emotion strengthened by the gorgeous strings and melodic layers underneath, this collaboration with Nathan Nicholson strikes a perfect balance between light and dark for the ultimate listening experience.

Maxim Lany: “The concept of my debut album stems from the realization that all people struggle with the situation we find ourselves in. I felt that I could make music in order to help others as well as myself, in order to show them that they weren’t alone in this. ‘Closer, You’re Not Alone’ is about bringing people together in a closed world and using music to focus on the positives. I hope this new single with Nathan Nicholson means a step in the right direction for a lot of people in that regard.

Nathan Nicholson: “To me this tune is about someone that you hold close whether they’re in this world or not – their presence is always felt. “Someone up there is your four leaf clover

Tritonal, Dylan Matthew & Au5 share acoustic version of “Happy Where We Are”

tritonal

Since 2011, Tritonal has pushed the boundaries and sounds of electronic music. And now, almost a decade later, they continue to create astounding progressive and upbeat singles that always make a lasting impression with the listener.

However, after “Happy Where We Are” was released in 2020 to rave reviews from listeners, the Texas duo decided to take another approach; to showcase the breathtaking song in an acoustic form.

Widely known vocalist Dylan Matthew shines all throughout this remix. He has been lending his voice to dozens of tracks since 2017 and shows no sign of slowing down. He is a master of performing acoustic which led to this decision to use him in the original and with this new approach.

And thankfully, Au5 lends his talents to the remix as well. Au5 began his career as a classically trained musician from a young age before dabbling into producing. The inclusion of Au5 and his delicate skills clearly shine through in this portrayal.

Enhanced is honored to present this one of a kind performance to the rest of the world.
