Calvin Harris and Ushuaïa Ibiza have launched the latest DJ Mix in the ‘Live at Ushuaïa Ibiza’ series for Apple Music.

The exclusive mix was recorded live at Ushuaïa Ibiza‘s famous open-air pool stage this summer using Dolby Atmos’s groundbreaking spatial audio technology. Now fans have the opportunity to experience the biggest party on the island from anywhere in the world.

To create this exclusive recording, 13 microphones were placed at key points around the venue. The recording was then mixed using Dolby Atmos technology and a multi-speaker playback system to create a rich and authentic sensory experience that transports listeners to the Ushuaïa Ibiza dancefloor as soon as they hit play.

Speaking on the mix’s launch, Calvin Harris said:

“I’m so excited for everyone to be able to experience my set at Ushuaia Ibiza, the biggest party on the island, captured here in Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos.”

The 1.5 hour-long mix, featuring an array of exclusive tracks from the man himself including brand new edits of crowd pleasers from Peggy Gou, Massano and Florence & The Machine, is the first available from Calvin in Spatial.

Calvin‘s last show of the season at Ushuaïa Ibiza is next Friday, August 25. Tickets and VIP Tables are available HERE!

Nicole Moudaber remixes Louie Vega’s track ‘Feel So Right’ ft. Honey Dijon

Despite a packed summer season, Techno queen Nicole Moudaber has been whipping up a plethora of tracks, including a raw new remix of Louie Vega’s ‘Feel So Right ‘ ft. Honey Dijon – out now on Nervous Records.

For her own rework, Moudaber opts to strip thing back, leaving just a handful of core elements in play, with the care, attention and nuanced power she affords each one of these, making her remix the truly, remarkable, cogent heater that it is.

Part of a stacked remix package, that also features the likes of Seth Troxler, Tedd Patterson, and DJ Deep, with this latest edit, Nicole proves once again why she is one of the most sought-after DJs on the planet.

Martial Simon’s ‘Nu-Freestyle’ Is Introduced Via ‘This Is Your Night’

The dance music landscape has been nothing short of evolutionary, yet every so often, we witness an artist reshaping its contours. Martial Simon, the established New York City DJ and producer, is making waves with his distinctive sound: Nu-Freestyle.

In the pulse of “This Is Your Night,” Nu-Freestyle comes alive. This sub-genre, deeply rooted in electro-pop and dance, bridges the nostalgic past with an inventive future. Every beat, from the undulating bass to the arresting synths, accentuates the genre’s potential.

Simon‘s career, spanning over two decades, is filled with sonic landmarks. From “High In July” to “Don’t You Forget About Me,” and from “Lost” to “Go Bezerk“, Simon has consistently demonstrated his genius.

His track “Where My Girls At?” not only enjoyed the limelight on BBC Radio 1 Dance Anthems but also topped Beatport’s Dance Electro Pop chart. Another winner, “Have A Good Time,” skyrocketed with over 250k streams in just six weeks. These aren’t mere numbers, but a showcasing of Simon‘s magnetic appeal.

Having founded GET SET Records in 2021 and boasting over 200,000 monthly Spotify listeners, Simon is not just creating tracks – he’s crafting experiences. As we progress through 2023, Martial’s sonic journey appears more promising than ever. The dance floor, indeed, looks bright under the lights of Martial Simon‘s Nu-Freestyle.

Listen to the track below.

Check out the exclusive interview with Martial Simon, focusing on the genre ‘Nu Freestyle’, success, and so much more.

You’ve coined your style ‘Nu-Freestyle,’ a blend of electro-pop and dance. Could you elaborate on how this style originated and how it showcases your creativity?

I’ve been experimenting with vintage freestyle vocal records. The idea was to infuse a Nu-Disco vibe into Freestyle, enhancing it for the dancefloor with rolling basslines and robust synths.

This year, you’ve been prolific in your music production, including interpolations and cover tracks. What prompted this decision, and how do you believe it has contributed to your rising popularity?

I enjoy reimagining timeless hits, breathing new vitality into them. Some become covers, while others turn into interpolations. The latter is exciting because it permits more creativity, with fresh lyrics layered on classic replayed melodies. Overall, these renditions are noticeable and resonate with a broad audience.

Your music has amassed over a million streams in 2023 alone. What factors do you attribute to this positive momentum? How do you craft music that resonates with listeners worldwide?

It’s a humbling achievement to witness my ideas evolve into tangible projects, embraced by fans and listeners globally. Connecting with a global audience through music is no easy feat. I believe it begins with identifying uplifting sounds and then producing melodies that appropriately capture the essence of the song. Authenticity is key—avoid forcing it!

You’ve enjoyed a DJ career spanning two decades and established your own label, GET SET Records. How do you sustain the freshness and excitement in your music? What drives your continual exploration of new musical avenues?

The driving force is music itself. It propels me to experiment, set trends, adapt to current trends, and then apply a creative twist to them.

Tracks like “High In July,” “Don’t You Forget About Me,” and “Go Berserk” have garnered significant popularity. Could you provide more insight into the evolution of these tracks from conception to release?

“High in July” was inspired by my experiences in the Hamptons, paying homage to the summer lifestyle. “Don’t You Forget About Me” demanded a Slap House makeover, building upon its recognizable chorus with an added slap and drop. “Go Berserk” was initially a rap I penned for a Club/Tech House track, later leading to a collaboration with rapper Trinidad Jame$ to bridge the gap between Hip Hop and EDM.

Could you describe your relationship with your fans, and how integral is their feedback during your creative process?

I hold deep appreciation for my fans, recognizing their pivotal role in my journey. I’m open to all feedback—positive or constructive. Honesty defines my relationship with fans, regardless of the nature of the feedback. It’s the authenticity that counts.

As the founder of GET SET Records, how do you manage your roles as both an artist and a label owner? Has owning a label influenced your approach to music-making?

My roles as an artist and label owner coexist harmoniously. The label provides a platform for my music and that of other artists. Effective time management is key, coupled with forward-thinking and learning from past experiences. I adapt successful strategies while refining them for each new release.

Your music has graced major cities and even television. How have these experiences shaped your artistic direction? What can your fans anticipate from you in the near future?

Performing in iconic cities worldwide and having my music featured on TV has significantly impacted my artistic journey. I treasure every moment and approach each opportunity with gratitude. Upcoming releases on the label include collaborations with Holly T and Kasey Berry. Additionally, keep an eye out for my next release in early October—a collaboration with a female rapper, Martial Simon!

Dainjazone Launches First Single ‘Power’ Off Of Anticipated EP Titled ‘Evolution In Progress Vol. 2

In the pulse of the nightlife, the name Dainjazone carries a reputation. Known as the former touring DJ for the chart-topping group LMFAO, Dainjazone has carved an enviable niche, renowned for his immersive sets and exhaustive touring. Yet, it is in his new release, “Power,” where the DJ magnifies his own evolution.

The track, part of a promising series culminating in the Evolution In Progress Vol. 2 EP, features the sultry voice of Australia’s FlyGirl Tee. “Power” is an intricate showcasing of emotions, unraveling the enigma of a woman holding an irresistible allure. The tale of trust, desire, and clandestine meetings marries a storyline rich in intrigue with a tech house soundscape that enhances the narrative within.

From its tech house foundation, “Power” segues into a high-energy arrangement, punctuated by sharp, captivating stabs, promising to light up the senses of anyone who listens. Dainjazone‘s masterful fusion of the thematic narrative with a rhythmic heartbeat is evident in every groove and adlib.

As the nightlife world came back online post-COVID, the club scene’s resurgence has seen Dainjazone ascend as a beacon of brilliance. His unparalleled knack for gauging a room’s vibe is why iconic venues like The Grand, Memoire, HQ, and Shrine continually hand over their decks to him.

In “Power,” we see a synthesis of Dainjazone‘s journey and a teaser of the horizons he’s aiming for. Paired with FlyGirl Tee‘s potent vocals, “Power” becomes symbolic in regards to the new string of momentum this artist is building around himself.

With the EP coming and the single now upon us, Dainjazone took the time to talk to us about inspiration behind “Power,” working with FlyGirl Tee, and much more.

Check out the interview below!

When you were working on “Power,” what inspired you to explore the dynamics of relationships, particularly from a woman’s perspective?

I was listening to the Joe Budden Podcast a while back. He said “The side chick has all the power in the relationship.” I sat with that statement for a minute and I said to myself, “Oh s***. He’s right.” I’m not a toxic person but the level toxicity in this scenario is so fascinating and off the charts that I thought it would be captivating to hear a story from the mistress’ point of view rather than the gf or the girl with the broken heart or the girl who is left broken down from a man who betrayed her.

Could you share your thought process behind choosing the tech house genre for “Power” and how you decided to blend it with the specific lyrics in the song?

I always start my songs off as remixes for existing hits. Then they form their own shape and personality and ultimately they become an original. I thought the beat was easy to digest. Something that’s not going to bang you over the head. Perfect for an artist to do something over. In the midst of creating the beat I was writing out the lyrics to “Power”. The beat allowed space for the vocals so it was an easy match.

Considering your history as LMFAO’s touring DJ, in what ways did that experience shape your music style, approach to production, and your ability to keep the energy alive at parties today?

I learned whatever style of house or electro you make the song has to have drive. It has to give ppl a momentous feeling. If it’s not electro synths driving the ppl the beat has to be groovy and funky. On top of that, you have to be excited about what you’re playing. If the crowd sees this they’ll connect with you and follow your lead. Stage presence is probably the biggest thing I learned from LMFAO.

Tell us about the collaboration between you and FlyGirl Tee for “Power.” What aspects of her vocal talent did you feel aligned best with the essence of the song?

I’ve known Tee for 10 years. She is the kindest, sweetest person in Australia but when she gets on the mic she has this attitude and confidence about her that’s undeniable. Her voice is absolutely perfect for the lyrics in “Power”. She can soften her vocals and make it soothing and pretty then turn it up in the next bar and still sound like the most desirable woman in the room.

With the return of clubs post-pandemic, have you made any adjustments to your sets to accommodate potential changes in the music scene and evolving audience expectations?

Every city is different so it’s important for me to do my research and be able to adapt and adjust on the fly. Some cities favor house more and some cities favor hip hop more. So, I don’t think there is a blanket answer for this.

Venues like The Grand, Memoire, HQ, and Shrine consistently choose you as their DJ. From your perspective, what key factors contribute to a successful venue-DJ relationship, and how have you nurtured these professional connections over time?

I have to be able to deliver on my end or else not only do I look like a fool but so does the booker. Everybody is buddy-buddy until the job isn’t done properly. The venue knows I’m going to do my research and put my best foot forward. They trust that I have the tools to adapt in any scenario.

Can you give us a glimpse of what your fans can anticipate in terms of musical experimentation, themes, and collaborations in your upcoming “Evolution In Progress Vol. 2 EP”?

Most of the songs are heavy electro. “Power” is actually one of a kind in the project. The club/ festival goers will feel the bass and the synths once they hit. Each song is strong enough to be thrown in a headlining set and maintain the same energy the big dogs play. I think the designs and arrangement cater to a young audience who just want to jump around and rage.
