elrow reveals the full lineup for its new theme Delusionville by Ron English

As the world turns, the cultural and entertainment industry is generating new and surprising ideas to surprise and satisfy the desires of dance music lovers. In order to respond to this call, elrow joins forces with the American artist Ron English to offer, on October 1, at Amnesia Ibiza, an unrepeatable show in which avant-garde art and electronic music mix with the idea to provide a performance never seen before and in which the public is an active part of the work.

“At elrow, we are fascinated by creative, visionary and daring minds. We are always working on breaking the limits of our shows. Now we want to impress our fans again, no more and no less, with a tailor-made collaboration with Ron English, the “godfather of Street Art””, add Juan Arnau.

Ron English is one of the most influential street artists of all time. Born in Illinois (USA) and living in New York, his unique universe has inspired urban artists worldwide. Ron‘s work includes bizarre and surreal characters ranging from three-eyed rabbits to crazy clowns, featuring references from pop culture, the advertising industry, and cartoons where you’ll recognize plenty of famous icons from Western culture.

“In this project, we immersed ourselves in Ron’s limitless imagination to create together a concept that will be unlike anything you’ve seen before,” says elrow founder Juan Arnau, who proposes us to be fun and irreverent on a magical date.

For this project, Ron‘s universe moves to one of the most legendary clubs on the white island, Amnesia Ibiza, hand in hand with an entertainment company and accompanied by one of the most internationally renowned artists, such as the British Norman Quentin Cook, better known as Fat Boy Slim.

Together with Cook, Eats Everything, Bastian Bux, Tini Gessler and Kölsch will be in charge of drawing a soundscape according to a surreal, chaotic and multisensory set design.

The theme debut is Delusionville and will be a live reinterpretation of the famous POPaganda art movement, the fruit of the imagination of the well-known “godfather of street art”, Ron English. “I think life is more exciting if you do things your way, even if it’s not in the way or in the order that everyone expects,” explains Ron English of Delusionville‘s leitmotif. This theme is an itinerant initiative that will travel, making stops in the main world capitals of culture and entertainment.

Ron English has spent more than 30 years working at Delusionville and elrow would love to honour this incredible work in the closing party on October 1st at Amnesia Ibiza.

DJ Tennis & Carlita remix Diplo & Damian Lazarus’ “Don’t Be Afraid (feat. Jungle)”

Following the release of the deluxe version of Diplo’s self-titled album, DJ Tennis curates an all-star line-up of artists from his Life and Death label roster to remix tracks from acclaimed LP. Showcasing the synergy and close relationship of Diplo and DJ Tennis and their respective imprints, Higher Ground and Life and Death, the remix EP arrives as an extremely limited edition 12″ vinyl pressing that will be out alongside digital.

Here’s what DJ Tennis had to say about the remix package:

‘My good friend and colleague Sam from Higher Ground approached me after a party and asked me if I was interested in curating a remix package for Wes and I didn’t have to think twice.

My instincts were right and the results are amazing. The musical diversity of the remixes, on limited edition vinyl with a limited edition clothing collab…a perfect match. I’ve been following Diplo for years as his musical journey and vision has always been an inspiration for me. A multifaceted character and true original, he’s a genuine producer and has grown to become a dear friend.’

Diplo dived into the house music that first blew the now Grammy winning & chart-topping producers mind as a teenager. A titan of electronic music, he turned his focus back to these roots. ‘Diplo (Life and Death Remixes)‘ features productions from across the original album including the Grammy-nominated “On My Mind” with SIDEPIECE.

“I’ve admired Manfredi (DJ Tennis) as a producer, DJ, label owner, and friend for years now. His Life and Death imprint has been one of the most consistent labels in house music for a long time, and when we started the Higher Ground concept, he was one of the first guys that understood what we were trying to do: break down genre boundaries and tie sounds and scenes together.

Manfredi supported us from the beginning. As a result, there’s great energy between Higher Ground and Life and Death, we’ve played a bunch of shows together and we’re constantly trading music. When I dropped my self-titled album this year, I thought it would be a great opportunity to create something to showcase this, so we put together this pack of remixes.”Diplo

From the suave and expansive sounds of DJ Tennis and Carlita‘s remix of ‘Don’t Be Afraid‘, the mesmerizing and complex drum patterns of Red Axes‘ rendition of ‘Right 2 Left‘, to a complete reimagination of BĘÃTFÓØT & Ashee‘s ‘Forget About Me (Nite Version)’ & Danny Daze’s Sun & Waves mix of collaborative Seth Troxler track, DJ Tennis has molded an impressive collection of remixes from Life and Death artists, bringing energy from all directions.

Carlita has been turning heads – and for a very good reason. Now based out of New York City, the Turkish-Italian artist is a classically trained multi-instrumentalist who is part of the underground’s most elite circles. She’s renowned for playing unique stages internationally; from Burning Man to Tesla’s Giga Factory opening and more. This summer, she’s turned up the heat with her project by getting her hands on numerous impressive ventures.

Earlier this month, her official remix of RÜFÜS DU SOL’s track “See You Again” was released as a part of their ‘SURRENDER REMIXES’ album, alongside remixing artists like Adriatique, Colyn, Dom Dolla, and more. On September 5th Carlita presented her Cercle set from the mythical Cinecittà Studios in Rome, Italy.

Carl Cox & Franky Wah unite for new track – See The Sun Rising

Carl Cox

The legendary Carl Cox returns with See The Sun Rising, his new single with Franky Wah, ahead of his forthcoming new album – Electronic Generations (Out October 28).

See The Sun Rising is an unforgiving techno titan with driving force, reworked with finesse by the rising British DJ/producer Franky Wah. It’s more rousing big room techno from the DJ icon and one of the UK’s most exciting new talents. The release also comes with an extended mix.

“I’ve been fortunate enough to collaborate with Carl on a record prior to this one so to work on a second track is just a testament to how smooth the writing process between us is,” says Franky. “I visited his home last year and he mentioned he had an album coming out but I had no idea he’d ask me to be a part of it so when the opportunity came, I was honoured. He sent through a handful of ideas but the melody and the song name “See The Sun Rising” really clicked with me.”

“I think the record is a perfect combination of both mine and Carl’s underground sound. Fast pumping drums and bass lines Carl is known for and the euphoric breakdowns that I’d like to think I’m known for also. This record is definitely for that peak time moment when the crowd is ready to go on a proper journey.”

Carl Cox: “I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to share this album. As a live artist and a DJ I get to play all over the world and to see people enjoying the shared experience of being together and dancing. I’ve pulled together all the elements that I’ve learned from watching those crowds, added my sound and tried to bring you a true electronic music experience.”

See The Sun Rising is out September 16th.

Carl Cox releases his new album ‘Electronic Generations‘ October 28th via BMG.

Pre-Save/Order the album here.

The digital version of the album also comes with a second volume of pre-remixes, including the collaboration with Franky Wah – See The Sun Rising, How It Makes You Feel with Nicole Moudaber, Deep Space X with Juan Atkins and Speed Trials on Acid with Fatboy Slim.

Tomorrowland releases mini documentary film “We Are Tomorrow”

‘We Are Tomorrow’, produced in collaboration with Amazon Music, portrays the unique journeys of DJ Topic and the making of his exclusive track ‘Saving Me’, world-renowned chef and Tomorrowland Foundation ambassador Gaggan Anand, Kenyan mother and business owner Vicky Tah and Mainstage dancer Kelly De Clercq.

The summer of 2022 will be remembered as magical and memorable… Tomorrowland, one of the world’s most iconic festivals, is celebrating its legendary three-weekend return by releasing a mini documentary about the whole world coming together in one magical place and uniting as one through the universal language of music.

Produced in collaboration with Amazon Music, ‘We Are Tomorrow‘ covers the unique journeys of four People of Tomorrow attending the Belgian festival: German DJ & producer Topic, Indian-born world-renowned 50 Best chef Gaggan Anand, Kenyan mother and business owner Vicky Tah and Belgian female Mainstage dancer Kelly De Clercq. The short film will be available to stream on YouTube and Amazon Music on Tuesday September 20.

After a two-year break, Tomorrowland returned in July 2022 for its 16th edition revolving around this year’s theme ‘The Reflection of Love‘ and expanded to an unprecedented 3 weekends, again welcoming hundreds of thousands of People of Tomorrow to its fabulous wonderland with electronic music’s biggest stars in Boom, Belgium.

Being a home to people from all walks of life, one of the most unique things about Tomorrowland remains the whole world coming together with everyone being equal and uniting as one through the universal language of music, which was beautifully captured in ‘We Are Tomorrow‘.

“We Are Tomorrow” Tomorrowland

Directed by Wim Bonte, the 24-minute poetic and aesthetically stunning documentary film follows the journeys of DJ Topic, Gaggan, Vicky and Kelly, each telling personal stories on what Tomorrowland means to them, alongside spectacular new footage of the festival. ‘We Are Tomorrow‘ gives viewers an intimate look at the iconic music festival right from their homes, portraying the different protagonists in a raw and authentic way in the studio, at home, during rehearsals and joining the celebration on the festival grounds.

DJ Topic

German DJ & producer Topic blew up during the pandemic and cemented himself as one of dance music’s premiere beatmakers with many viral worldwide hits. Despite racking up billions of streams across platforms, he remained new to the big stages. Topic created the exclusive and entirely new Amazon Original song ‘Saving Me‘, an uplifting rework of his global smash hit ‘Breaking Me‘, specially made for his Mainstage performance at Tomorrowland in July, something he had always dreamed of. The rework with vocals by American singer-songwriter Sasha Alex Sloan also forms the backbone of the film’s original score.

Here’s what Topic had to say about it:

“I’m very happy that I had the opportunity to rework ‘Breaking Me’ as it’s a very special song for me. It has opened so many doors for me and it’s safe to say the path that I’m on right now never would have looked this promising without it. Part of this journey is realizing my dream to play at Tomorrowland. I’m very grateful that I can celebrate it with this uplifting rework, which has its roots in the beginning of my career, but also resembles my development over the past couple of years.”

Gaggan Anand

Indian-born world-renowned 50 Best chef with an inspiring life story: Gaggan Anand grew up in poverty in the slums of Calcutta but managed to become the most awarded chef in Asia whose Bangkok restaurant ranked number 1 among Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants a record four times. The culinary game changer brought his explorative gastronomy to Tomorrowland last summer, hosting his very own Chef’s Table with a magnificent view of the legendary Mainstage, as well as curating an exquisite menu for the Tomorrowland Restaurant. This summer’s proceeds will go to the Tomorrowland Foundation for the construction of a brand-new Music & Arts School in India, which will be officially inaugurated by Gaggan in December.

Vicky Tah

Vicky is a proud mom and business owner born in Nairobi (Kenya), an African city with a thriving dance scene. She grew her love for music when she visited Tomorrowland for the first time in 2013 and became part of an 80-member Tomorrowland Family. After the loss of her husband earlier this year, her Tomorrowland Family organized a fundraiser to make sure she could still make it to the festival this summer.

Vicky: “I met my Tomorrowland Family back in 2013. Ever since then, they’ve been an integral part of my life, especially in the last year when my husband passed away. Everything changed financially, so Tomorrowland was nowhere in the near future for me. I informed the Tomorrowland family that I couldn’t come. They considered what was going on and they came through. They gathered and managed to get funds for my plane ticket. I really appreciate all the love and support; this is what you call united forever.”

Kelly Declerq

Kelly is a female Belgian dancer at Tomorrowland, for whom dancing means everything. She went through a tough time during the pandemic, but dancing helped her as her outlet, pleasure and therapy. Kelly is now even going to study dance therapy to help others with her experience. Last summer, after the uncertainty of the past years, she finally returned to dance on the legendary Mainstage to be a part of the magical opening and closing show, witnessed by millions of people around the world.

Over the last decade-plus, Joseph Capriati has been on a constant mission to push forward as an artist. The Neapolitain’s sound is rooted in techno but is now also about so much more, as his wide-ranging debut album Metamorfosi on his own Redimension label proved.

He has played major clubs and festivals all over the world from DC10 to Tomorrowland and proved his skills as a DJ with his seminal entry into the famous Fabric mix series.

This summer he hosted his own exclusive parties at Amnesia in Ibiza and again showcased that his influences range far and wide through many forms of house and techno.
