Ibiza premieres a new open air dance floor: 528 Gardens

Next Sunday, July 10, the show experience that has captivated the island of Ibiza will open the doors to its long-awaited Garden Area in the Benimussa hills.

The new and original Camino del Sol concept pays tribute to Ibizan culture and will make its Sunday residency debut at this very special opening event. There will be performances by Paco Fernández, Igor Marijuan and Gaya Brisa and Music for Freaks presenting: Justin Harris, Doorly, Affany y Tallyn P.

In addition to this, 528 Ibiza will proudly welcome Sónica Radio and Sun Empire for weekly residencies throughout the season.

The White Isle has been wowed once again this summer with the return of the spectacular show and dining experience – 528 Ibiza – The Frequency of Love. With the brand new theatre and world-class cast of performers and chefs already achieving critical acclaim, it is now time for the highly-anticipated grand opening of the 528 Garden Area.

This is an extensive outdoor space that combines the impressive backdrop of the Benimussa hills with large landscaped areas. Those attending will be able to enjoy a more casual culinary experience with gourmet street food paired with reinterpreted classic cocktails and innovative creations. There will also be live music and DJs throughout the season.

The inauguration will take place next Sunday, July 10, and as a one-off, the doors will open at 18:00. After that, it will go back to the regular time of 19:55. The special event will kick start the artistic program for the Garden Area and present Camino del Sol. This is an original concept from 528 which aims to pay homage to the roots of the White Island through Balearic sounds. Every Sunday, iconic figures from the Ibizan scene, both past and present, will get together to celebrate the culture of the island.

The artists performing at the Opening are Paco Fernández, Igor Marijuan and Gaya Brisa. Weekly resident Paco Fernández is the creator of Balearic flamenco and chill flamenco. His Mediterranean flamenco style fused with electronic sounds, rap and Caribbean rhythms gives life to an original, committed, fresh and current show. Igor Marijuan, in addition to being a renowned DJ and producer, is the founder of Ibiza Sónica, the musical director of Akasha and the promoter of Pareidolia Music.

There’s also Gaya Brisa, one of the most influential Ibizan figures on the contemporary scene. Her style combines tribal techno, minimal progressive techno and afro house. In addition to being a resident DJ at Amnesia and Pacha, she’s part of the Namaste family, one of the most popular parties in Ibiza.

And that’s not all. 528 Ibiza has announced that Wednesdays will be in the hands of Sónica Radio. Every week there will be several special guests and these Sonica Sessions will be broadcasted on the radio (95.2FM). On Saturdays, it will be Sun Empire‘s turn, an inspirational party in Tulum. On the 16th will feature Constellation (Planetary Ambience Sunset Gong Celebration), Nativo Live (Summerians, Maian Tulum), Gaya Brisa (Namaste, Pacha), Matan Klevan (Unity Ibiza, Akasha Tulum), Zule Paz (Amnesia) and Selim (Live Percussion).

Dennis Cartier drops his new powerful track ‘Make It Alone’

One of Belgium’s biggest movers and shakers in recent years has been Dennis Cartier, a favourite of Fedde Le Grand and a hot ticket on the world stage.

Make It Alone’ is perky, uplifting vocal house skipping on a wave of adrenaline, leading listeners across a dancefloor quest and bringing to mind Inna turning up the heat.

As he circles around horns as luxurious as his name, Cartier’s keys and synths connect with petite, open-hearted lyrics to provide a certain feeling of innocence when madness is all around.

Tender but tough: Australia’s Tydi asks ‘I Thought I Was Enough’

Australian award-winning ace Tyson Illingworth brings his chart-topping, Global Soundsystem game to meet Be Yourself benchmarks with pop-ready firepower. After Caitlin Allan sets the ball rolling with sensitive, high-reaching vocals doubling as a diary confessional, TyDi rocks foundations with a fierce electro-bass roller, giving this collaboration a spiky edge over its competition.

TyDi’s considerable discography is matched by his achievements both academic (as a graduate of Queensland’s high-status Conservatorium of Music) and sonic (#1 dance chart spots across the globe, column inches in the LA Times and as one of DJ Magazine’s top 100 DJs).

As a main attraction at festivals all over the world, Illingworth nails the complete package category by showing the benefit of branching out and never standing still, composing for a broad range of high profile brands including Disney, Stella Artois and Swarovski.

I Thought I Was Enough’ is all about timing, easygoing melodies leaning on acoustic guitars and strings and naturally knowing how to reach out emotionally with Allan at her peak. Then TyDi lets the bulging bass notes go, making this highly charged house music in more ways than one. You’ve guessed it, just one listen will never be enough.

Vicious are celebrating a massive 30 years in the music industry

The label that kickstarted the careers of a legion of profile players including Avicii, Madison Avenue, Peking Duk and Dirty South, are celebrating a massive 30 years in the music industry. Their success carries forward an enviable list of today’s leading producers and top players.

To celebrate this powerhouse label, Vicious will be releasing a collection of singles and remixes and a full compilation sharing its immense history with a modern twist. Their previous catalogue which includes Avicii, Madison Avenue, Dirty South, Cabin Crew and MrTimothy, has been remixed by leading dance names that include: Don Diablo, Mark Knight, Joshwa, PAX, Spencer Parker, Hotmood, PAX, Sgt Slick, Super Disco Club, Soul Central, KPD, Cassim and The Cube Guys. Accompanied by a documentary, Australian tour and pop up European events, Vicious 30 is fast gearing up to show the world their direct impact upon club music culture, flexing their impressive history and ability to make the world dance.

Founded in 1992 by Australian electronic music icons Andy Van (Madison Avenue / Super Disco Club) and John Course (along with friend Colin Daniels), Andy and John remain at the helm of a fiercely independent label with a massive global impact.

Recognised as Australia’s leading independent label, they have been responsible for over 800+ releases including numerous UK and Australian #1s, ARIA awards and supported by millions of streams. You’ll find a trail of well-respected industry names throughout their enviable catalogue, some of their highlights include:

  • Discovered and developed by Andy Van, the late Avicii released his first ten singles with the label, including his first Beatport #1 ‘My Feelings for You’ (made with Sebastien Drums)
  • Legendary DJ Carl Cox teamed up with Mark James (ex-Future Entertainment head honcho) and John Course to create Vicious’ third release ‘Eternal’
  • Ground Level’s ‘Dreams of Heaven’ became the label’s very first internationally charting release and spearheaded a string of notable positions
  • Two-time Grammy and ARIA nominated producer Dirty South landed his first releases on Vicious
  • Hitmakers Madison Avenue first achieved their global success with the ‘Polyester Embassy’ album and celebrated their worldwide hits ‘Don’t Call Me Baby’ (UK pop chart number 1 + ARIA Single and Best Dance Release winner)
  • The Australian phenomenon Peking Duk achieved 3 platinum selling singles on the Vicious imprint and sister brand ‘Be Rich Records’ winning ARIA Dance release of the year

“We began Vicious out of pure passion for music and where it is now is beyond what we could ever have imagined. We have delivered chart topping songs and grown some of the world’s best talent from Avicii, to Madison Avenue and also released quality underground music along the journey, including early works from Carl Cox and Ground Level. Much of this occurred during a time when people didn’t know what to think about electronic music and that’s something we are very proud of.”John Course

“When we first started in 1992, electronic music was just beginning in the states and in the UK, we were without the internet back then, but despite being thousands of miles away we carved a unique sound that was born in Australia and then hit the rest of the world.”Andy Van

Vicious and their collection of inhouse labels have proven to be a consistent source of breaking talent since its inception in 1992. Early vinyl releases were signed to highly influential imprints including: Warp Records and Faze 2 Records in the UK, Sonic Records in the USA (at the time home to an emerging artist called Moby). Their recent pop dance label Extrovert Music launched last year and released drag queen duo the Jawbreakers debut EP. Igniting widespread praise and featuring on massive festival line-ups again, the Vicious signings prove their ability to navigate multiple markets.

For a label with such an impressive history and contribution to the scene, we see this as only the beginning so stay closely tuned.

Satori announces Club Chinois residency ‘A Starry Night’

From July 7th to October 6th Satori brings his latest genre-defying performance ‘A Starry Night’ to Ibiza’s newest hotspot Club Chinois. Housed in the former location of the iconic club HEART, Chinois promises to deliver its audience old-world hospitality whilst immersed in world-class contemporary entertainment. Satori will perform his eclectic sets every Thursday night.

Satori is no stranger to the new club. In 2019 he performed there on a weekly basis when he had a residency at club HEART. The 3000-sqm venue had a full overhaul and in the years since his previous residency there, Satori has evolved further as an artist as well. More than ever he has perfected his trademark fusion of live instruments and electronic beats, creating musical magic on the spot as he goes along.

A Starry Night’ will be immersive and intimate, taking visitors deep into Satori’s world of art and fine music, in which he organically transcends genres, space and time. This will make each ‘A Starry Night’ performance at Club Chinois a unique experience for both the audience and the performer.

Satori A Starry Night

“For me it is important that the audience is not just a spectator of a musical journey. I want them to be my travel companion. Each night I will present an in-depth set with improvisations on live instruments and beats that appear on the spot. By vibing off each other, the journey will be unpredictable for everyone and this way I can really forge a relationship with the audience through music,” says Satori.

Part of the experience will revolve around tracks from Satori’s latest album ‘DreaminColours’. The album was released in April and was recorded live at Sonic Vista Studios in Ibiza. Satori’s ‘A Starry Night’ residency will run from July 7th until October 6th, 2022.

San Pacho Brings Together The World of Mariachi With House In ‘Trompeta’

San Pacho is on a release streak like never before in 2022, recent singles like “Pride,” (signed to Deadmau5’s Hau5trap) and “Amor,” (signed to Matroda’s Terminal Underground) showcasing the angle he’s decided to approach music and the sonic evolution he’s embarking on at his current state.

Now, “Trompeta,” is the next addition he is sharing with the masses, continuing the theme of latin incorporations mixed in alongside club-fitting house music.

In this release, mariachi horns englantly pronounce the core melody of the song while thick basslines and crisp percussion provide supporting rhythm and pace to give order to the experience.

Although not immediately apparent to all, the merging of global cultural components through house and latin cultural elements through mariachi will give a vastly wider appeal to many millions around the world. This clever blend presents a common ground for folks of many walks of life to let their guard down, relax, and come together.

Having recently signed to the prestigious The Bullitt Agency for bookings, an escalation of momentum continues to surround San Pacho.
