Cosmic Gate release their newest single, ‘Feel It’

Blazing the trail to ‘MOSAIIK’ – their hotly anticipated 2021 album, Cosmic Gate today release their newest single, ‘Feel It’.

Hot on the heels of the album’s first single, ‘Blame,’ ‘Feel It’ trades in sub-bass boom, clock-tick percussion-tension & true grit synths, swing the needle to the top-of-its-drop, and a stadium-sized conclusion.

Feel It’ was premiered this week during Comic Gate’s second ‘MOSAIIK’ livestream from the rooftop of the Selina venue in San Miguel De Allende in Mexico’s central highlands.

This UNESCO World Heritage city was voted Condé Nast Traveller’s Best Small City In The World in 2020 (and for the third year running no less!), and it provided a stunning backdrop for Cosmic Gate to showcase their new music.

This made for a welcome return to Mexico for Cosmic Gate – the country that hosted the event that many consider their greatest-ever performance: ASOT Mexico 900.

If you missed this week’s stream, never fear, we got you, it’s available to watch now via YouTube. Back-dropped by San Miguel’s spectacularly lit Baroque architecture, and in the shadow of the historic cathedral, sit, back, relax and enjoy as Nic & Bossi drop the latest/greatest spring sonics on offer.

Cosmic Gate’s second ‘MOSAIIK’-pathfinder, ‘Feel It,’ is available to stream now from WYM Records / Black Hole Recordings.

CircoLoco and Rockstar Games announce new record label, CircoLoco Records

Circoloco NYC photo aLIVE Coverage

One of the most influential brands in global, real-world club culture, CircoLoco and Rockstar Games, creators of some of the world’s most popular and critically acclaimed video games are fusing the physical and digital worlds of entertainment to create a brand-new music label, CircoLoco Records.

Debuting with a series of EPs featuring tracks from the label’s forthcoming first compilation album, Monday Dreamin’, CircoLoco Records will showcase contributions from some of the visionaries and icons from every era of CircoLoco’s greatest parties including new releases from Carl Craig, Luciano, Seth Troxler, Moodymann and Rampa, as well as up and coming artists that point to the future of dance music including SamaAbdulhadi, Lost Souls of Saturn & TOKiMONSTA, Red Axes, and many more.

The first EP, Monday DreaminBlue EP, will kick things off on June 4th featuring new tracks from Sama’ Abdulhadi, Kerri Chandler, Rampa, and Seth Troxler alongside a new Dixon remix of Deichkind’s “Autonom.”

The Seth Troxler track, “Lumartes” is now available to stream and download. Further EPs will release weekly in the lead-up to the full compilation’s release on July 9th .

Representing house and techno for over 20 years through its parties at Ibiza’s DC10 and around the world, CircoLoco‘s dancefloor has become a principal intersection between underground dance music and elements of fashion, art and wider culture. From the beginning, the club’s commitment to music- focused, no-frills club nights with mixed lineups and an eye to the future supercharged the careers of many DJ’s including Tania Vulcano, Ricardo Villalobos, Jamie Jones and many more.

The launch of CircoLoco Records reinforces CircoLoco’s commitment to championing forward-thinking dance music artists beyond the club. “CircoLoco has always been about the passion for finding the best music, supporting artists and bringing them to the people in the purest way possible,” said CircoLoco Founder Antonio Carbonaro.

“CircoLoco Records is a natural next step for us, giving us a chance to bring the music we love to people everywhere.”

Rockstar Games’ reputation for supporting music and club culture is unparalleled, having championed underground artists and scenes across its array of blockbuster games, including the Grand Theft Auto series which pioneered the use of meticulously curated radio stations hosted by personalities ranging from Frank Ocean to the late Karl Lagerfeld.

Rockstar’s introduction of digital nightclubs to the world of Grand Theft Auto Online with the After Hours update provided millions with an additional platform for social connection and music discovery as players could step into a fully-realized nightclub setting and experience DJs and CircoLoco alums such as The Blessed Madonna, Dixon, Solomun and Tale Of Us.

The release of The Cayo Perico Heist this past December evolved upon the concepts introduced with After Hours, expanding the possibilities for in-game social spaces while allowing for a global audience to safely dance together and experience DJ sets from Palms Trax plus another CircoLoco collaborator and Detroit legend Moodymann, as well as an exclusive set from Keinemusik performed at a tropical beach party.

“Music is fundamental to Rockstar Games – it’s part of everything we do,” said Rockstar Games Founder, Sam Houser. “Partnering with our friends at CircoLoco is part of our ongoing efforts to find new ways to bring the very best underground music to the widest audience possible.”

CircoLoco Records will break new ground in an effort to support and elevate dance music culture during one of the most fraught periods ever experienced for clubs and represents an opportunity to elevate the scene through the collective power of the two entertainment brands.

Anabel Englund has unveiled her brand-new Messing With Magic Deluxxe Album

Hot Creations favourite Anabel Englund has unveiled her brand-new Messing With Magic Deluxxe Album.

An extensive, 15-track release, the Deluxxe Album features a further five tracks in addition to the ten that make up Englund‘s acclaimed 2020 LP Messing With Magic. The first is her recent collaborative single ‘Waiting For You‘ with Yotto, a track that pairs Englund’s rousing and euphoric vocals with the Finnish producer’s dreamy soundscape.

Completing the Deluxxe Album are stunning acoustic versions of two tracks from Messing With Magic, ‘Picture Us‘ and ‘Underwater‘ featuring MK – both of which are #1 dance radio hits.

Described as “smouldering and sultry” by Forbes and “effervescent” by Mixmag, highlights from the original LP include ‘So Hot‘ and its MK & Nightlapse remix, ‘Float‘, ‘See The Sky‘, ‘Warm Disco‘ with Lee Foss and title track ‘Messing With Magic‘ with Jamie Jones.

A multi-talented singer-songwriter who has worked with some of the most respected DJs and producers in dance music, Anabel Englund garnered widespread acclaim when she linked up with Jamie Jones and Lee Foss in 2012 to form Hot Natured. Their single ‘Reverse Skydiving‘ amassed over 16 million streams on Spotify and counting, immediately asserting Englund’s status as a force to be reckoned with. More recently she has released tracks with the likes of MK, Detlef, Disciples, Dirty South, Mike Mago and many more.

The Messing With Magic Deluxxe Album is one that Anabel Englund fans simply won’t want to miss.

Lost Frequencies remix Twocolors hit ‘Bloodstream’

Lost Frequencies

Belgian superstar DJ and producer Lost Frequencies has just dropped a remix of the new twocolors smash ‘Bloodstream’.

Steeped in contemplation and emotion, the Lost Frequencies remix of ‘Bloodstream‘ centres around shimmering pads and glistening synths – while losing none of the anthemic energy that makes the original so special. Released last month, ‘Bloodstream‘ has already racked up 13 million global streams.

“‘Bloodstream’ is a song about a broken relationship.” twocolors previously explained. “When every cell in your body craves for the other person, and you are going through the motions. You just can’t do without. ‘I’m just going through withdrawals’, ‘Bloodstream’ reminisces about a love lost, aching for one more shot to feel alive again.”

When it came to choosing a remix artist, there was simply no other choice than Lost Frequencies:

We are big fans of Lost Frequencies. Songs like ‘Are You With Me’ and ‘Reality’ have shaped us creatively in our approach to making music. We are very happy that he has now remixed our single “Bloodstream” and we remixed his track “Rise”. We look forward to meeting him in person, as soon as regulations allow for it. Exciting times!’twocolors

The Lost Frequencies remix of ‘Bloodstream‘ sees twocolors collaborate with one of dance music’s most cherished talents – with dazzling results.

AREA21 continue their journey on planet earth with ‘Pogo’

Following the release of “La La La, ” which has already surpassed over 5M combined streams, the adventures of AREA21 continue with today’s release of ‘Pogo. ‘

The song exudes the feeling of being completely uninhibited, living life wild and free, which makes it the perfect soundtrack for the coming summer months. Written by Martin Garrix and Maejor, Martin also plays electric guitar on the track, one of the many talents from this multi-faceted artist.

The video for “Pogo” picks up where “La La La” left off with the two alien travelers M & M having crashed landed on earth, standing on their recently crashed spaceship and running from the law.

Their escape includes a very unorthodox mode of transportation, a group of unlikely heroes and lands them in the perfect place to get away from it all – Vegas, baby.

ANIM have released their powerful new single ‘Count To Ten’

Introducing ANIM, one of the most exciting, dynamic dance duos to come out of Ireland, now with their debut single ‘Count To Ten’ – signed to Universal Music / Casablanca Records.

The latest crossover dance smash, ‘Count To Ten‘ is a refreshing pop epic which seizes your attention instantly with its distinctive, almost spiritual, combination of melodies, lyrics and vocal.

ANIM, (a play on the Irish word for ‘name’), was formed by two stalwarts in the Irish Music Scene, Darren Rice and Mark McCabe. Having crossed paths over the years on the DJ and radio circuit, a meeting at Electric Picnic Festival in 2019 between the two sparked the idea to start working together.

Rice commented on the release:

“‘Count To Ten’ first came about following a pretty incredible moment for me watching the sunrise at Burning Man festival in the middle of the Black Rock desert in Nevada. I was working on a demo of it here and there for about 3 years. I thought it really had potential but needed someone with both underground & commercial sensibilities to give it a bit of a scrub & gleam to get it to where it needed to be. Once Mark entered the picture, it came together pretty quickly.

Rice, commonly known as Ricer to family, friends and fans alike, has a hugely successful DJ career that has seen him entertain the masses at many of Ireland’s most cutting-edge clubs and festivals. He’s also a notable independent radio host, podcast presenter, sneaker fiend and style guru.

McCabe is the renowned producer behind one of the biggest-selling Irish singles of all time, ‘Maniac 2000‘ and the multi-platinum selling single ‘I’m Feeling It‘, not to mention putting his remix skills to work with artists such as Gavin James, Dagny, James Arthur and Gabrielle Aplin. His work has picked up over 300 million combined streams. Like Rice, he’s a regular on the live dance circuit and a prominent independent radio host.

The pair’s work on ‘Count To Ten‘ has proved a fruitful alliance. They clicked so harmoniously on the project that the potential for future releases and live performances seems too obvious and apparent to ignore. Plans are already afoot for a follow-up… stay tuned!

Multi-talented DJ and producer, Adam Rich delivers a beautiful progressive house track with some big room influence and soothing vocals by James Ty.

Wonderland‘ has the makings of a festival anthem with both its melodic and big room sounds that give it another level of energy. ‘Wonderland’ has both a calm and relaxing feel while also creating a true euphoric atmosphere. From start to finish, the track takes listeners on a journey that they will remember for a long time.

Rich defines his productions as “very chord heavy with catchy melodies, big vocals, and high-energy drops.” This is evident in ‘Darkness’ and ‘Keep Coming Back’, which garnered strong support and immediately caught the attention of various dance music blogs, producers, and DJs.

Exclusive Interview with DJ and Producer Robbie Rivera

1. Hey Robbie! Welcome to Rave Jungle, great to have you joining us today! Where do we catch you now & how has your year been so far?

Robbie: I am in Georgia near Atlanta now and the year has been NUTS.

2. Nice! Let’s jump straight in and discuss your latest release, ‘Agua Pa Beber’ – a Latin House collaboration with PAUZA and Gerardo Varela – can you tell us a little about how this collab came about?

Robbie: My friend Jorge in Cartagena kept telling me that I needed to work with this singer he knew in Colombia and to create a fusion of afro Latin house. He sent me the vocals and I liked the hook a lot, so I produced the music and drums. I had interest from a major label, but they were not offering the deal I wanted so I decided to take a break and work on other tunes.

Then via Instagram a conversation with Cuban artists PAUZA started and I mention to them this track that I had that perhaps they would like to collaborate. It turned out that they loved it and took my mix and added a new arrangement and more percussion. I am happy with the project and so far it is doing well.

3. Your iconic label, Juicy Music has not only played a pioneering role in shaping the scene over the years, but also in spear heading the global success of House Music. Can you share with us some insight into what those early years were like & how the label has evolved since then?

Robbie: Juicy Music has been around since the vinyl days, and we are proud of what we have achieved. We have been releasing music from so many great artists and we continue hustling weekly with new music from artists from around the world. In the early years I remember sending Beatport music via AOL iChat! We were one of the first labels there. The competition has become brutal and with so much music released weekly and a lot of it sounding the same!

In the beginning it was simpler but expensive since pressing vinyl and CDs can be costly. But now we have streaming which is easier and much cheaper to release music. The problem is they pay labels and artists too little. This is the music business hustle, and I can talk hours about this!

4. How would you describe your signature sound and the sound of the label? And how have both developed over the years?

Robbie: My signature sound is sexy house music with a lot of energy. I produce music for club DJs not for radio or streaming so I am always hoping they crossover. The label sound is the same, but I don’t mind venturing to other electronic genres. I like producers that think outside the box and take risks. They are hard to find since producers like to follow the trends.

Fans have told me my style changes all the time and that is true. I like to be different and produce dance music at what I am feeling at the moment of composing. If I am feeling angry in the studio, I will be producing a banger! If I am in a melancholy mood, then it will be a melodic progressive house tune.

5. Many of the biggest names in the scene have made appearances on Juicy Music & looking back, has there been a particular moment / release that continues to standout?

Robbie: I think my release “Back to Zero” stands out as it still gets plays in radio in the US and Europe. You will see a new remix in the next 12 months with Armada.

6. Reflecting on the unusual year we’ve all had, in your opinion what has been the biggest impact on the electronic industry & what have you missed the most?

Robbie: The biggest impact I would say is loss of income for artists and venues. What I’ve missed the most is obviously touring every weekend!

7. And finally, looking ahead into the remainder of 2021 & beyond – what’s next in the pipeline for Robbie Rivera and Juicy Music, any exclusive news you can share with us?

Robbie: I am releasing a new tech house banger called “compressor” which has a blend of progressive trance stabs with tech house and a new cover of a huge tune from the 90s that I am very happy with.

It has been nearly two years since the Lightning in a Bottle community has gathered to co-create their favorite experience of the year. While they may be separated physically, the innovative spirit of the Do LaB crew and its wide reaching audience has given way to a new virtual faction of festival goers.

Today this new legacy continues as Do LaB announces the lineup for DGTL LIB 2, taking place Memorial Day Weekend, May 29-30. Continuing the path set forth by the digital debut in 2020, fans can expect all the musical curation, mischief and quirkiness, cause-driven education, and wellness offerings that make this a standout virtual experience.

DGTL LIB comes at a pivotal time for North American music as the event simultaneously releases tickets for Lightning in a Bottle 2022 reclaiming Memorial Day Weekend for what will surely be a surreal physical reunion for its community.

This year’s DGTL edition welcomes a taste of the historically eclectic LIB musical programming. The lineup is topped by North American electronic originator MOBY, globetrotting house and techno icon Seth Troxler, genre-defying duo SOFI TUKKER, and superstar vocalist and dj ALUNA.

The lineup is a testament to the coming together of styles that LiB has always forged and continues with the likes of Purple Disco Machine, Patrice Baumel, Mikey Lion, WhoMadeWho, Sango, The Polish Ambassador, TSHA, Tor, HOLLY, The Librarian, Desert Dwellers and many more.

Not only will performers curate one-of-a-kind sets for guests to enjoy, but artists like MOBY, Desert Dwellers, Megan Hamilton and Mikey Lion will perform in favorite LIB stages, recreated as digital environments by Vita Motus Design Studio to create a full immersive experience.

From the colourful tendrils of the Woogie to the striking bass-heavy temple of The Stacks, there’ll be a musical home for everyone. By utilizing Unreal Engine technology and leveraging live production expertise, all elements of a real production are able to seamlessly integrate and bring an engaging broadcast to life from various remote locations, including set design, lighting design, video mapped content, embedded performances, camera capture, and more.

Following the Opening Ceremonies, digital revelers can also expect all the immersive workshops and surprises curated by The Compass. The event’s signature education haven will showcase movement programming like Rise & Shine Vinyasa Yoga with Ayres Nouveau, The Mighty Wave of Change – A Kundalini Yoga Experience with Jai Dev, Thunder Before The Lightning – Stretch and Recover with Christian Bluford, and Samba Dance with Nicolea Pettis. Foodies will be glued to the screen for Seaweed-Shitake Mineral Broth with Steph Zhu, and Praise Cheezus! with Chef Perla. Those looking to dig a little deeper can get stuck into courses like Sexuality & Socialization: Deshamifying Your Turn-Ons with Jenny Mohr, a presentation on the future and present of psychedelics with MAPS, and more.

Furthering their commitment to both the arts and digital innovation, Do LaB will welcome live painter Benidigital to the event and will be partnering with Modern.com to sell the original works as an NFT after the show, eternalizing the weekend as a piece of digital art for one lucky collector.

Do LaB regulars know best that it remains the wacky surprises and hidden turns that make the Lightning in a Bottle experience truly one of a kind. DGTL LiB strays not from this journey, welcoming signature immersive partners like The Jive Joint, Fungineers, William Close & The Earth Harp and a slew of other bizarities you won’t find anywhere else.

DGTL LiB will kick off early for round two, with a restream of DGTL LiB 1.0 on Wednesday May 26, a night of classic hits Live from the Mixtape on May 27th, and proper pre-party vibes from Patricio & Friends on Friday May 28th.

If you can point to one thing that connects the diverse and fantastic LiB community it’s the shared resilience between event producer and attendee. It is this joint adventure that continues to define the experience within and beyond the gates of Lightning in a Bottle, spilling into the internet for now and forward to the idyllic shores of Buena Vista Lake on Memorial Day Weekend 2022. For now, gather your Do LaB family and join them for DGTL LIB on Twitch.
