Tom Staar and Dan Soleil join forces for underground-tinged collab: ‘We Found Love’

U.K. DJ, producer and Armada Music signee Tom Staar has been churning out records like mad lately, and his next one is guaranteed to get people moving. Featuring the vocals of emerging singer Dan Soleil, ‘We Found Love’ manages to radiate that underground club feel no matter what space it’s being played in.

Sitting right on the sweet spot between suspense and wonder, Tom Staar is keeping the music coming as he touches down on Armada Music once more. A fresh collaboration with Dan Soleil that juggles deep bass roars with soaring vocals and thrilling chord progressions right up till the charged drop, ‘We Found Love‘ is instant playlist material for those who like their music edgy and underground.

Tom Staar: “I think I originally came up with the melody back in December 2019, but I never worked out what kind of record it was going to be. When Dan Soleil sent me over some songs he’d written, I went through some ideas I’d sketched out before and remembered this one. His vocal fitted perfectly and the track came together pretty fast after that.

Speaking about the message of the song, Dan Soleil adds:

“‘We Found Love’ is a song about finding a true connection, right in the middle of chaos. Everybody is looking for love, sometimes so desperately that we forget ourselves. This song is about that desperate love and holding on to each other, no matter what.

Bringing a uniquely curated one-hour radio show with the best alternative house & techno tracks, CORE radio has kicked off its first episode yesterday – offering listeners the perfect platform to discover new releases and the most exciting emerging artists, as well as records from the scene’s leading acts such as Adam Beyer, Adriatique, Carl Cox, Joris Voorn, Keinemusik, Kölsch, Maceo Plex, Patrice Bäumel, Sven Väth, Tale Of Us and many more.

CORE Radio show

CORE‘s monthly radio show is hosted by Dino Lenny, the Italian producer and founder of Frenetica and Fine Human Records. Having enjoyed a series of successful releases on renowned labels like Ellum, Innvervisions and Crosstown Rebels, the Italian wizard has a long-time history with Tomorrowland, having played at the CORE stage back in the early days.

Every month, a special guest artist will hop on the show for an exclusive interview – starting off with German techno legend Sven Väth who is celebrating his 40-year music career and the 20th anniversary of his famed label Cocoon Recordings this year.

CORE‘s very first episode also features a number of exclusive tracks from Locked Groove, ARTBAT & Dino Lenny and John Digweed & Nick Muir, a well as other records from Lake People, Tale Of Us & Âme, Tiga and many more. Sven Väth talks about his 40-year career and the 20th anniversary of Cocoon Recordings:

I’m proud and very happy that Cocoon Recordings is celebrating its 20th anniversary. It hasn’t become easy in these uncertain times for a record label and there’s a lot to do – from the communication with the artists, the design and the artwork to the production and marketing.

Fortunately, many good artists come to us. When I look back on 40 years of DJing, an incredible amount has happened, and I’m surprised how quickly time has passed. My passion and interest in music is still unbroken. The whole thing really gives me a lot of strength. The fact that I can share my passion and my musical taste with my crowd fulfills me enormously.

The German techno legend also reveals which record touches his soul over and over again: “When I played ‘Knights of the Jaguar’ by DJ Rolando at the closing rally of The Love Parade in 1999 in front of over a million party freaks, I was electrified. This song still touches my heart today.

Relive the first episode of the CORE radio show right now: online, on the Tomorrowland app, on YouTube, and on SoundCloud.

Gorgon City & DRAMA team up for a 2nd time on ‘You’ve Done Enough’

With each consecutive release, Gorgon City set new standards for their production whilst continuing their unique and recent theme of working with exciting and emerging US vocalists. Perfectly blending UK inspired dance production with outstanding singers, ‘You’ve Done Enough’ arrives as the pair’s second collaboration with Chicago’s DRAMA.

Gorgon City‘s Kye Gibbon and Matt Robson Scott have firmly established themselves as one of the most revered contemporary dance music duos. They have amassed to date over 10 million singles and 1.5 billion global streams, rewarded for their now distinctly recognisable sound of timeless, often bass driven, house music.

DRAMA is the multicultural collaboration between producer Na’el Shehade‘s chic Chicago house-infused production style and vocalist Via Rosa‘s sublime and contemporary soul, jazz and hiphop inspired vocals. Together the duo blurs the lines between R&B and dance-pop and having already worked with Gorgon City on the critically acclaimed ‘Nobody‘, a follow up was always bound to happen.

Masterfully produced, ‘You’ve Done Enough‘ is deeply packed with poignant energy with DRAMA‘s powerful voice adding layers of soul throughout, a touch that has already attracted heat and attentive ears amongst Gorgon City‘s global fanbase via their recent livestreams, including their stat-smashing NYE stream at London’s Printworks.

GusGus invite fans to ‘Stay The Ride’ in new synth-kissed single

GusGus

GusGus, the expert architects of transcending through an intersection of genres, continue to peel the layers off the release of their forthcoming studio album Mobile Home with a new single titled “Stay The Ride”.

Last October, the band kicked off their album rollout with the arrival of a new single, “Higher“, and the introduction of a new member, Margrét Rán of Icelandic indie-pop band VÖK. Preparing to unfold one of their best pieces of work yet, GusGus is now pleased to share the album’s seductive opening track, “Stay The Ride“. The single is out now across all streaming platforms via their Oroom imprint.

Delivering another deliciously unique taste of what Mobile Home has in store, “Stay The Ride” slows down the tempo and intimately invites the listener to embark on an explorative journey through a world wherein machines have taken over.

Artificial Intelligence has ruled supreme. A world wherein science fiction is no longer fiction, but rather fits snuggly within the scope of reality. Opening with Rán‘s signature monochromatic vocals, “Stay The Ride” cascades into a minimalist synth-kissed anthem that sets the stage for the 9-track endeavor anxiously waiting ahead.

The track widens GusGus‘s ever-expanding encyclopedia of beautifully layered soundscapes with mesmerizing melodies and bold, unashamed synth hooks. Don’t be shy, get on board, and follow the enigmatic trio as they reveal what they have in store for the new year.

Alongside the single, the band has once again paired up with GusGus founding members and creative directors Siggi Kinksi and Stéfan Árni – alias Arni & Kinski – to produce the music video counterpart for the single.

The music video for ‘Stay The Ride‘ follows the success of the video release for the album’s lead single, ‘Higher‘, which has amassed nearly 500,000 views since its late 2020 debut. This is only the beginning of the creative partnership, with many more stunning visuals to be released ahead of the full album release.

ARTY inspires hope with first record of 2021: ‘Take Your Time’

ARTY

ARTY is one of those creators who gets listeners reeling with every song he puts out, and boy, does he deliver with his first release of 2021.

Steeped in the sound fans have come to love him for, ‘Take Your Time‘ sees the electronic music phenomenon pick up where he left off and start this new year’s surge of new tracks with a record that’s designed to inspire hope.

Following on from a year full of exciting productions and breathtaking singles such as his #1 Billboard Dance charting collab with Audien and Ellee Duke called ‘Craving‘, ARTY sets the bar sky-high with his first track of 2021.

Ripe with gorgeous piano chords, striking harmonies and brilliantly colorful vocals that radiate patience and positivity, ‘Take Your Time‘ is a typical ARTY production that shines bright even in the darkest of days.

“‘Take Your Time’ is a very personal song about the right and wrong times in your life“, ARTY explains.

It doesn’t always go the way you expect or want, but you need to be patient about things coming the way you manifest them, because eventually the time will be right. Although the song was written back in 2020 right before COVID started, I feel it hits the nail right on the head considering the times we live in now. I really hope that ‘Take Your Time’ will resonate with the listeners and make their day a little bit brighter, because we need to believe that the good days will come.
