Sonic Souls released rework album that gives ‘Missing’ a new shine in 2018!

Everything But The Girl’s song ‘Missing’ is an absolute hit and has been for awhile. The UK trio, Sonic Souls have finally decided to release their rework album that gives ‘Missing’ a new shine in 2018.

LilRich gives ‘Missing’ a heavier bass feel whereas someone like Rare Candy, Skallee & Wagz turns it into a house music hit. Throughout all the versions though, Red‘s vocals still hold a continuity that defines the track.

‘Sonic Souls’, the three-piece production trio comprised of Matt Frost, Tim Laws, and Marvin Beaver have quite some musical history, with each being involved in a number of studio projects over the years – including last summer’s re-work of the classic ‘Dreams’, which was released on their Yamazuki Music imprint.

These promising producers never stay hidden for too long so I am really excited to hear what they create next.

Tropical House in the winter seems both out of place and hopeful for the summer soon to come. DJ and producer duo, Läzro and Travis Gibb have brought the vibes with their newest song, “Take Me Home”.

The track features a strong female vocal from Kyra B and carries a light and bouncy tone that makes you daydream of sunshine.

Läzro and Travis Gibb are a Miami based talented duo that has had musical influences their whole lives. Between mentors and family members all with musical inclination, they naturally found their home in chill house.

‘Take Me Home‘ is their first release on Global Heist Recordings but I’m definitely looking forward to hearing what they release next.

A popular music festival failed to acquire a liquor license in time

Shipwrecked festival took place in New Zealand over the weekend but this years version had a last minute switch-up. After organizers failed to obtain a legal liquor license, the festival was forced to be an alcohol-free event.

The music and arts festival was held at Te Arai, near Auckland and ran from Saturday to Monday. Now although this may not be a big deal for some attendees, after paying as much as $250 for a ticket you would expect an array of adult beverages. Let’s face it, we want to party.

Logan Baker of The Greatest Show on Earth commented on the matter by saying “it’s still going to be a beautiful event” despite having no alcohol on the grounds.

Apparently a special license application was submitted to the Auckland Council in early December but received strong opposition from the surrounding community and lake advocates. The reasoning was based around safety concerns at the site with event organizers encouraging swimming in the deep sand quarry lake.

Nearby Tomarata Lake has a night-time alcohol ban in place.

This wouldn’t be the first music festival to go alcohol-free. Other big festivals like Shambhala in BC go dry every year and still have sell out with huge crowds. We are waiting to hear more about the festival after it ends later today.

Another wondrous team-up between the UK Trance titan and the L.A.-based singer-songwriter, ‘Deep End’ sees STANDERWICK & HALIENE pick up where ‘Saving Light’ left off.

Exciting and emotive at its core, the song treads where few Trance tracks dare to go and offers an eruptive mixture of power and emotion that strikes the right chord every single time.

STANDERWICK: “It has been really exciting working with HALIENE again on our new track ‘Deep End’. For me as a musician, I really wanted to tap into areas of music that played a part during my early years as a producer and give some slight hints of these in certain areas of the track.

I also feel that we have been able to spread our wings a little, which is really important to me when writing vocal Trance music. We both hoped to pull off something fresh whilst maintaining a good balance, so we truly hope you will love ‘Deep End’ as much as we do.”

With Gareth Emery and Ashley Wallbridge premiering the track and revamp on Armin van Buuren’s legendary ‘A State of Trance’ radio show on February 1st, ‘Surrender’s’ euphoric melodies and irresistible vocals align both Darude and Ashley Wallbridge’s styles for maximum dancefloor impact.

After becoming a staple for pushing forward rising talent along with the scene’s finest, Garuda returns with a completely reimagined label ahead of their 10th anniversary in 2019. Tomorrowland 2018 Sells Out 2 Weekends Within An Hour !

Tomorrowland has proven yet again that it is one of the hottest festivals in recent times. You might already know that the festival sells out within hours annually, so it made a lot of sense for the festival to expand to 2 weekends for the last two years. Unfortunately for the slower fans, the demand for this year’s edition ‘The Story Of Planxis‘ was so high that both weekends managed to sell out whithin an hour!

While some music festivals tend to never sell out all year long, Tomorrowland is quite the opposite. As one of the world’s most popular dance music festivals, Tomorrowland in Belgium has a history of rapid sales, with last year’s two-weekend event breaking records when it sold out in just 64 minutes.

After the World-wide pre-sale sold out in less than 20 minutes last week, it was expected that the worldwide sale for Tomorrowland would wrap up just as quick.

“People of Tomorrow, the Worldwide Ticket Sale has ended. All tickets for Tomorrowland 2018 are Sold Out. Thank you for your love and enthusiasm”. Tomorrowland team wrote on their official Facebook page.

Make sure to check out this year’s full phase 1 lineup below. The lineup boasts an insane amount of talent, from Armin van Buuren, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Hardwell to Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin and Sven Vath. It’s no wonder the tickets went so quickly.

Although Kim Kardashian is usually the one breaking the internet, someone else is proving to steal the limelight.

Let’s just say it seems as though Diplo has some extra time on his hands. Just this week, he decided to double as Kim Kardashian in Hollywood. This comes after multiple celebrities like Paris Hilton and Jordyn Woods have been promoting #YeezySeason6, Kanye West’s iconic clothing collection.

Even though it seems like perfect advertising, it kind of looks to be a comic joke. We see right through the Hollywood back drops, blonde wig and coffee. Although Diplo was definitely trying to mock Kim, she decided to tweet Diplo back after this iconic photoshoot.
