Tale Of Us reveal new track ‘Error Error’ from forthcoming fabric mix

Tale Of Us have revealed their rousing new track ‘Error Error’, ahead of its official release as part of the duo’s fabric 97 compilation. Dropped by the pair on their Soundcloud page, it will be available to purchase as an exclusive with the mix from the 16th February.

A masterclass in the atmospheric brand of techno that Tale Of Us have become known for, ‘Error Error’ centres around a stirring bassline and shadowy synths, making for a climactic penultimate track within the mix compilation.

The pair will be celebrating the launch of the upcoming fabric mix with a special party on Sunday 25th February, with an extended, all-night-long set.

New information has surfaced around the sale of ecstasy pills in Sheffield, suggesting that some ecstasy pills currently in circulation may contain other substances and lead to overdose or death as a result.

They warned the pills called ‘Serial Killer‘ could cause a range of serious health problems – including heart palpitations and frothing at the mouth – before death. There is currently no specific knowledge as to what these ecstasy pills look like, meaning that there is a heightened risk of any ecstasy pill sold in Sheffield being fatal.

Ravers and clubbers are now being urged to steer clear of the drug in an appeal posed onto the Sheffield Recovery Community Facebook page.

The post said: “The Drug and Alcohol/Domestic Abuse Coordination Team and Sheffield Treatment and Recovery Team have received information which suggests that ecstasy tablets may be being sold in Sheffield which contains other substances which could cause stimulant overdose and potentially be fatal. “These tablets can also go by the name of ‘Serial Killer’.

“If you think you or anyone else has become ill as a result of drug use call 999 immediately and stay with the person until the ambulance arrives.”

Sheffield Students’ Union tweeted: “We have zero tolerance to drugs but are also committed to drug harm reduction. Please read the alert from Sheffield DACT if you or friends may be affected.”

In the wake of pop-scented singles such as ‘I Need You’ and ‘Sunny Days’, no dance music enthusiast ought to be surprised to hear that Dutch DJ and producer, Armin van Buuren loves to broaden his horizon and explore different genres and musical influences.

The world-renowned Dutchman keeps finding new ways to delve into previously uncharted territories and now, the five-time DJ Mag champion has done so again for his brand-new single: ‘Sex, Love & Water’, featuring Australian singer-songwriter Conrad Sewell, known for his work on Kygo‘s smash hit ‘Firestone’.

Made in collaboration with – among others – the legendary Scott Storch (who wrote/produced global hit songs for the likes of 50 Cent, Beyoncé, Dr. Dre, Chris Brown, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Mario, Ricky Martin, Sean Paul and more), ‘Sex, Love & Water‘ features a set of severely infectious rhythm guitars that thrive amidst sexy horns and swaying grooves.

Laced with Conrad Sewell’s high-register vocals and a splash of vibes that make you want to hit the dance floor, this tune and its brilliant music video (with Conrad Sewell taking a lead role) are all you need to turn life into the best party around.

Here’s what Armin van Buuren had to say about ‘Sex, Love & Water :

“I’ve long been toying with the idea of diving into some funk or disco-flavored music for a change. So when the magic started flowing in a studio in L.A., I was really eager to explore this side of me. Adding the likes of Conrad Sewell and Scott Storch to the record truly proved the icing on the cake and I’m really glad to see that our new track, ‘Sex, Love & Water’, saw its official release today.”

Conrad Sewell: “I got a call from Scott Storch that he was working on a funky track with Armin in L.A.. It was a vibe in the room, everyone was playing along like we were jamming at an old ’70s night. The song spoke to us immediately, it felt great and like something we haven’t heard in a while. I hope the song brings the world good times and good vibes. I also hope everyone enjoys dancing to it as much as we did the night we made it.”

Techno festival will be held in a Soviet-Era Nuclear Bunker! [PHOTOS]

The Techno genre has always remained true to its roots and kept the industrial/underground vibes going. One festival however, decided to take it to a whole new level!

5001-festival will be taking place at an abandoned Cold War Era nuclear bunker 30 minutes from Berlin, Germany. While the festival won’t exactly be held down in the bunker, it will be at Objekt 5001- the military barracks complex above that protect it. That’s because the bunker itself is still sealed and inaccessible at the moment.

This unique festival will take place from August 17th-19th with performances from the likes of Antigone, Shlømo, Rachel Lyn, François X and will definitely be a new landmark in festival history.

Above & Beyond dropped new studio album ‘Common Ground’

Above & Beyond
Above & Beyond

Common Ground, the fourth studio album from Above & Beyond, is released on the band’s own Anjunabeats imprint.

The album includes the 2017 festival anthems ‘My Own Hymn’, ‘Northern Soul’, ‘Alright Now’ and ‘Tightrope’ and new songs with longtime collaborators Justine Suissa (‘Naked’ and ‘Cold Feet’), Zoë Johnston (‘Sahara Love’ and ‘Always’) and Richard Bedford (‘Happiness Amplified’ and ‘Bittersweet & Blue.’)

Common Ground‘ kicks off in cinematic style with ‘The Inconsistency Principle’. Things then move to the dance floor with recent favourites ‘My Own Hymn’ and ‘Northern Soul’, debuted by Above & Beyond at their sold out ABGT250 festival. OceanLab siren Justine Suissa shines on the groove heavy ‘Naked’, while A&B mainstay Zoë Johnston lends her voice to the sun-soaked ‘Sahara Love’. ‘Happiness Amplified’ features a rapturous refrain delivered by the unmistakable voice of Richard Bedford, before a change in gear for the progressive ‘Is It Love? (1001)’.

The slow burning ‘Cold Feet’ is another poignant moment from Justine Suissa, with Marty Longstaff tackling the uncertainties of life in ‘Tightrope’. ‘Alright Now’ preaches perseverance in the toughest of times while ‘Bittersweet & Blue’ reflects on absence and abandonment. Stripping things back to the band’s instrumental core, the stunning ‘Always’ is an optimistic Zoë Johnston-led ballad. The title track, ‘Common Ground,’ premiered at Ultra Miami 2017, is a final, thought provoking instrumental bookend to the journey.

These Superstar DJs are exposed by NY Times for buying Fake Followers!!!

dj snake cancels

With the way social media has blown up in today’s world, this recent story almost and comes at no surprise. Reports have surfaced that some of our favorite big name DJ’s are actually buying ‘fake followers’ to boost their social media platforms.

It’s being called the new phenomenon and looks like it’s happening a lot more than we thought. It gets worse. Not only are fake followers being bought but apparently almost 15% of all Twitter accounts are fake as well. The NY Times has released an expose that is claiming that as many as 48 million twitter accounts are fake…

In this expose, the first artist exposed is the ultra famous french DJ we know today as DJ Snake. Since it’s release, DJ Snake‘s team told the Times that the followers were “purchased by his previous manager.”

The second DJ exposed by The Times was 3LAU. They’ve since wrote that, “Mr. 3LAU said a former member of his management team bought them without his approval.”

These are just the first celebrities that have been exposed. The NY Times has said their main focus was on a company called ‘Devumi‘ which just so happened to have DJ Snake and 3LAU as clients. Devumi also has over 3.5 million automated accounts and over 200,000 customers to please.

The ability to buy fake followers and have fake accounts is definitely a big problem. Not knowing whether someone is real or fake can be dangerous and just weird. Props to the NY Times for putting this information out there and hopefully it deters other celebrities from doing it in the wake of being exposed and embarrassed.

Keys N Krates shine with CURA tour stop at District N9ne

Attendees at Philadelphia’s District N9ne concert venue eagerly packed in this past Saturday evening to witness Keys N Krates perform as a part of their all-new CURA tour.

Keys n Krates is made up of keyboardist David Matisse, turntablist, Jr. Flo (Greg Dawson) and drummer Adam Tune. Supporting this Toronto based electronic group were producers Jubilee and Falcons.

Jubilee (Jessica Gentile) played for a lukewarm crowd and brought them her own style of Miami influenced bass. Her tracks were a fun blend of dubstep, house, and grime. Gentile has been on the rise since 2012 after signing with dancehall label, Mixpak, and her full-length album Afterhours, won a spot as one of the top electronic albums of 2016.

Coming after Jubilee was breakout L.A producer Falcons. He has received praise from numerous outlets from Mixmag to XXL for his unique mesh of hip-hop and electronic-infused music.

He worked up the audience with bumpin’ tracks such as “Aquafina” and his hyped, hands-in-the-air worthy mix of A$AP Ferg’s “Work,”. It was hard to find anyone who wasn’t dancing along to the beat by this point, which created the perfect atmosphere for Keys n Krates to run with once they took the stage.

Once it the time hit 12:30 AM, the venue goes dark. Cheers filled every corner of the room as the trio made their way on stage. The lights behind them are almost blinding, creating almost a halo around each member as they take their spots behind each instrument. Keyboardist David Matisse grabbed the microphone, quickly greeting the audience before leading the way right into their almost two-hour performance.

Drummer Adam Tune kept up this frantic pace with the tireless crash of his kit and cymbals. On the other side, Jr. Flo worked his magic with his spins on his turntable. Together, these three were unstoppable that night, and played through crowd favorites such as “Save Me”, “Dum Dee Dum”, and “Treat me Right.”

One of their newer singles, “Glitter”, also made an appearance towards the last half of their set, closing out the night in a groovy, almost trance-like state.

Keys N Krates are set to release the CURA album via Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak this Friday and are currently making their way across the country on tour.
