Maor Levi sparks long-awaited return with new single ‘Aurora’

maor levi

It’s been quite a while since Maor Levi last indulged an Armada Music label with one of his melodically impeccable productions, but the wait is finally over.

Today, the Israeli tastemaker touched down on Armada Trice with a brand-new single: ‘Aurora’.

A marvelous debut of the Israeli DJ and producer on the label, ‘Aurora’ is the sonic equivalent of a sight to behold. Starring sparkling plucks and glimmering chords, this musical phenomenon is a stunning record any dance music fan would travel thousands of miles for to hear.

Here’s what Maor Levi had to say about his new track:

“‘Aurora’ is basically me making my long-awaited comeback, and for my all-time fans who are all about the melodic side of Maor Levi. I made this track when I got my fire and passion to make the style that made me who I am as a musician and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with the world.”

Don Diablo is back with his first single of 2018 ‘People Say’ ft. Paije

Dutch EDM DJ and producer, Don Diablo is back with his first single of 2018 – and another sure-fire hit – ‘People Say’ ft. Paige. Released via his very own Hexagon imprint, ‘People Say’ further demonstrates Don’s ability to turn his hand to any genre.

Starting life as a separate project last year, the evolved track layers a deep, hypnotic bassline, spiralling synths and a trap inspired drop with the addition of Paije’s rich vocals taking the tune to the next level.

Speaking about the track Don Diablo said:

“I got asked to write something for the score of a science fiction film last year. The first thing I came up with was this futuristic instrumental that was a bit of a departure from my normal sound, but I loved it so much that I kept it for my own project and turned it into PEOPLE SAY.

The upcoming album is all about pushing things forward, sonically and musically, taking things into the FUTURE in the broadest sense of the word. It’s been a fan favourite ever since I dropped it live for the first time and I am excited to show a different side of myself as a producer and artist.

It was great working with the talented Paije on vocals, he really took the song to the next level and brings across the message loud and clear: always stay true to yourself…no matter what the PEOPLE SAY.”

‘People Say’ is the fourth single to be taken from his much-anticipated artist album ‘Future’ – set for release early next month.

8 Men Hospitalized After Taking Crystallised ‘Spice’ being sold as MDMA

crystallized spice

On Monday 8 men were rushed to the hospital after suffering from seizures after they took what they thought was MDMA. One of the men only being identified as Charlie says that he believes it was ‘crystallized Spice’.

Early in the hours of Monday morning, Charlie and his friends starting seizing and freaking out after they took what was believed to be MDMA.

“One person took it first and about 20 minutes later he started falling all over the place and tripping over stuff that wasn’t there.

“We just thought he was off his head. We all took some and within the hour the first guy was unconscious. Then someone fell over in the bathroom and he was unconscious.”

He issued a warning to anyone else in Thanet who may encounter the drug.

“I definitely won’t be doing it again. I think it was Spice, there was some made in Manchester and about 10 people were taken to the hospital and some are in intensive care. I think it is the same stuff, it looks exactly the same as MDMA, like brown sugar, and even smells the same but I have never taken anything that messes with you like that did.”

What is Spice?

Spice is a mix of herbs and man-made chemicals with mind-altering effects. It is often called “synthetic marijuana” or “fake weed” because some of the chemicals in it are similar to ones in cannabis; but its effects are sometimes very different and frequently much stronger.

Many of the active chemicals most frequently found in Spice are illegal but the people who make these products try to avoid the laws by using different chemicals in their mixtures.

Last May a ban on legal highs came into force in the United Kingdom, making it a crime to produce, distribute, sell or supply the substance if  intended for human consumption.

Those who make up the drug try to get around this by changing the ingredients.

Spice can be addictive. There are reports of people having heart attacks and strokes – and even dying – after taking the drug. Cases have also been reported of kidney and liver damage and severe psychosis.

Your best bet right now is to try and completely avoid MDMA at all costs or at least test it with a kit!

Like Mike, of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike fame, drops side project track “Memories”

tomorrowland garden of madness

A renowned producer and songwriter in his own right, Like Mike has surprised fans with the giveaway of a solo record – ‘Memories’. Making up one half of heavyweight electronic duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, the Belgian artist has been toiling away in the studio of late working on fresh new music for a cluster of forthcoming singles with his brother.

However, during his time off from DV&LM duties Mike has also put his creative touches to a selection of personal tracks that see him explore new sounds and genres.

Memories‘ is a sentimental record steeped in personal connotations for Mike. This lyric-led record retains a feel that’s both deep in meaning and in groove. Progressively melodic, Mike’s topline pins emotion at the center of this deep pensive house record. Like Mike’s vocal charm on the record as is his somewhat effortless approach, as his ability to make the vocals feel almost melancholy yet the context is a positive one rooted in love rather than sadness.

With stunning prime animated visuals that offer another degree of depth to the ‘Memories’ track, 80s typography and a video-game futuristic style setting off the tone of the melancholic release. This giveaway shows a deeper side to one of dance music’s most renowned characters, it also teases fans of potentially more music to come from the famed Tomorrowland star! ‘Memories’ is a record well-worth visiting.
