Tomorrowland adds 5th wave of artists including Tiesto and Nicky Romero

Tomorrowland is gearing up for “The Story Of Planaxis“, the theme of the 14th edition of the music festival that brings the whole world together in late July each year in Boom. Today, Phase 5 lineup has just landed, adding superstar artists such as Tiesto and Nicky Romero to an already massive lineup.

Tomorrowland, arguably one of the biggest and best festivals world-wide, has announced the fifth round of artists set to perform on July 20 to 22 and July 27 to 29. The new wave of artists for this year’s edition has been revealed with performances from:

Alle Farben, Andrew Rayel, Astrix, Bonzai All Stars, Claude Vonstroke, Dave Clarke, DVS1, Jax Jones, Klingande, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Nicky Romero, Paco Osuna, Paul Elstak, Sasha, Seven Lions, Technoboy, The Magician and Tiesto.

Keep in mind this is just the 5th phase of artists, and there are still more to come. Check out the full announcement in the video below.

Diplo fires back at haters on Twitter who don’t want to see him at Movement fest

If we continue to put boundaries on artist how can they step out their boundaries and evolve their sound?

Movement Music Festival is known for showcasing top underground techno talent from all over the world. Yeah, Diplo at Movement Detroit at first might be a bit awkward, but the producer has such a diversity of sounds and style.

The dedicated fans of the festival have taken social media to vent out their thoughts and concerns with this years line up. Calling out to Diplo “Please don’t show up for movement fest @diplo,” one of the angry tweets reads.

I am sorry but you cannot diss one of the electronic music pioneers. Yes, he might not be a known for his techno known sound but let’s not forget that Diplo early careers started with House music.

Another angry tweeter calls out Diplo, Rezz, and Mija as “hacks.” Come on, let’s get on things straight very artist on this line up has dedicated time and effort and deserves the opportunity to perform without haters tweeting negative comments on Twitter.

Let’s face it there are multiple stages with a variety of artist playing at the same time. if you are not a fan, all you have to do is walk away. There’s plenty of people who are going to appreciate and enjoy all music.

Diplo is handling the criticism like a boss and is already stating he is bringing something fresh and funky.

Following a host of successful tracks and gigs with great names of the Techno scene such as Umek, Secret Cinema, Ramon Tapia, Fabio Florido and Industrializer, DJ and producer D.R.N.D.Y has taken another step to ensure his longevity as one of Serbia’s most talented artists. He just released a new single entitled “Magma” that shows just how skilled this producer is.

It seems like D.R.N.D.Y has been ubiquitous lately; the breakthrough Serbian producer has received much acclaim for his musical embodiments of ambiguous color concepts, like his interpretation of techno color through “Plural Colors” and “Turquoise Swan”.

Next up, let D.R.N.D.Y take you into fire journey through the eruption of volcanoes in his latest masterpiece “Magma.” This track not only pays respect to the genre’s earlier exploits but also shows how bright and various Techno’s future is.

Armin van Buuren and Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano will return to Hï Ibiza this summer, taking over Wednesdays from 20th June to 19th September. The club is also pleased to announce a new ticket pricing structure for the 2018 season.

Ultra Europe 2018 just announced stellar Phase One Lineup!

ULTRA Europe – has announced a momentous Phase One lineup to celebrate its sixth annual edition. Returning to the Poljud stadium in Split, Croatia on July 6-8, ULTRA Europe is one of the most anticipated events of the 2018 international festival calendar.

Afrojack, Alesso, Armin van Buuren, Axwell^Ingrosso, Carl Cox, David Guetta, DJ Snake, Galantis, Hardwell, Marco Carola, and Steve Angello are the first headline acts announced, all returning to the ULTRA Europe stage once again.

The Chainsmokers, Eric Prydz and Marshmello will headline the festival for the first time come July, completing one of Ultra Europe’s biggest Phase One lineups to date. Legendary pioneers Carl Cox and Marco Carola both return to headline the RESISTANCE stage.

Our favorite electronic dance music festival, Tomorrowland, has been revealing artists every day this week, with the first wave for its 2018 events landing on Monday.

After revealing a stunning 3 phases of lineup, the organizers behind Tomorrowland festival are now pulling back the curtain on phase 4 of their roster. Newly confirmed artists playing at this year’s ‘The Story Of Planaxis‘ include:

ARTBAT are bringing the party with brand new fire EP “Planeta” !

Showcasing their talent through a brand-new EP, Ukrainian DJ and producer duo ARTBAT, delivers three fresh tracks labelled ‘Planeta’, ‘Prometheus’ and ‘Sand in your shoes’ on Diynamic Music.

Taking the electronic dance music world by storm over the past few years, Ukrainian superstar DJ duo, ARTBAT have been on a mission to bring the sensational sounds of Ukrainian Techno and Tech-House to the rest of the world.

In February 2018, Artur and Batish aka ARTBAT are bringing their first full EP release to Solomun‘s well recognized label ‘Diynamic Music‘. The three-tracker “Planeta” starts off with the title track “Planeta”, a rapid-fire techno odyssey that might as well be taken from a relentless pursuit in a futuristic action movie.

This is followed by the gloomy bassline of “Prometheus”. Heavy on percussive elements, the track is divided in half by a cascading synth-break only to return with more layers of percussions, strings and the hypnotic bassline.

Closing off the EP is “Sand In Your Shoes” featuring London based artist Dino Lenny, who has previously worked with Madonna or Wu-Tang Clan and produced remixes for Underworld, Missy Elliot or Timbaland. The collab track is a dreamy Deep-House tune and a perfectly emotive way to finish the record.

The key to ARTBAT’s success lies within their powerful and inventive sound of the highest quality. Their tracks have an impressive capacity to fuel both intimate dance floors and huge arenas with energy and drive. The emerging Spanish duo, ‘Synchrony’ are armed and ready to take on 2018 with their brand new seven-track EP titled ‘Project 1’ !

It’s no secret that Marabella’s electronic music jewel pull out all the stops each time they hit the studio and it continues to show through their onslaught of ear-splitting records. Proving to the world that their sonic mean streak didn’t end in 2017, the Spanish duo released their ‘Project 1 EP’, a seven-track package so powerful a nuclear warhead has got nothing on it.

From the opening track titled ‘Deeper Feelings‘, right through to the closing cut ‘Introspective‘ – Project 1 EP sets the bar for the Synchrony & due to pick up a plethora of global club & radio airwave love, in the weeks ahead.

Yves V & Florian Picasso unite for the feel-good vibe of ‘Here With You’

After an absolutely incredible 2017, Yves V gets his year off to a wild start by landing on KSHMR’s Dharma label with an amazing collaboration with Florian Picasso on ‘Here With You’.

Melancholy violins glide across the track as muted piano chords breathes it into life. Delicate male and female vocals trade blows, hyped up through stereo delays, bitcrushing and glitch effects, and out of nowhere comes a sudden build thrusting us into the meat of the track.

The meat in question takes the form of fist-pumping, feel-good fizzing synth chords, energetic beats and thick slabs of melodic bass and makes for a grin-inducing mood. Plucked arpeggios greet us in the break with rising on-beat bass tones building up the energy. The glorious vocal effects sound even more mesmerizing as the kick drops back in, leading us into a bruising snare build. The winding bass of the outro will leave you begging for more and hitting that repeat button.

With super-cool computer game / comic influenced artwork, this one is the whole package. It’s been going off in both Yves & Florian’s sets in a big way and looks set to become a staple of stereos and dancefloors the world over.
