Quintino & Laurell dropped some serious ‘Good Vibes’ !

Quintino

Dutch EDM DJ and producer Quintino is here to bring you your daily dose of ‘Good Vibes’. Not only that, but he’s brought with him Vancouver-based singer and Billboard Songwriting Competition winner Laurell to top things off.

With its uplifting chords and a heart-warming drop soaked in dreamy future bass goodness, Good Vibes is definitely a track set to spread joy all over. For Laurell, Good Vibes was simply meant to be:

“The track was floating around my head for a couple weeks. I walked into my session with Quintino and was told “he is all about Good Vibes”. I feel grateful for the synergy that came to us that day and that we were given such a positive message to share with the world!”

“When Laurell walked into the studio there was just this amazing vibe right from the start. We wanted to make a song with a happy positive vibe and when we were finished I just fell in love with the song straight away.” – QUINTINO

Warning issued over ‘Blue Mushroom’ Ecstasy pills ahead of Halloween EDM events!

blue mushroom ecstasy

Reports are surfacing that there are very dangerous ‘Blue Mushroom’ ecstasy pills going around ahead of Escape Psycho Circus, Circoloco and other Halloween EDM events this weekend.

We don’t roll but I know a lot of you do so please be safe out there! Test your drugs!

Here’s what the warning stated:

“Hey guys. Last Saturday I tested blue and yellow Mario 1 up mushrooms with my test kit. With marquis it went purple to black immediately and with mecke it went dark as well, however I noticed intense fizzing.

When I tested with Mandelin it went brown! This means it had enough mdma to fool the first 2 tests, but mandelin confirmed there was Pma/pmma in it. ALSO, out of perhaps sheer stupidity, I bit the pill in half and experienced a minor chemical burn to my top lip. For everyone going to Escape Wonderland and Dreamstate and if you just happen to come across these nameless “euros” please avoid them at all costs. Thank you (please see pic for reference below)”

YOOKiE and Wooli realased their long-awaited collaboration “Voodoo”!

YOOKiE

YOOKiE and Wooli’s scorching new collaboration, “Voodoo” is finally out. YOOKiE’s diverse take on bass music and their willingness to explore the more euphoric realms of EDM has landed them a series of hugely successful bangers with some of the biggest producers out there.

It’s an absolute dream to have YOOKiE’s long awaited collaboration. Wooli has been busy casting some seriously sinister spells on the bass music world from his home base in Rochester, New York. His first EP with Firepower Records, The Cave, revealed a producer unafraid to deliver the heaviest of beats directly into the synapses of our pre-historic brains. Together these two forces are using their collective power in the service of fulfilling their vile vendettas through sonic savagery.

“Voodoo” immediately establishes an ominous tone through the visual imagery of a dark ritual. The Trapstyle intro combines with the hex of the high priest, and the first drop is a full on neck-breaking Dubstep assault upon its victims. But every victim deserves a different end, so YOOKiE and Wooli engineered a track with three distinct sections.

The second drop delivers a bone crushing Riddim section designed to crumble its victims to their knees. Finally, the tune blows the doors off with a Hardstyle double-up, and the chaos of a dance floor rampage is the method of vengeance.

Taken together, the track works its voodoo onto the audience so thoroughly, that you may be questioning how much power any one DJ should have. Add this tune to your collection of spells, but use your new power wisely.

Psy Trance pioneers Shpongle to mesmerize Philly this weekend!

Shpongle have been at the forefront of the psybient music scene since forming back in 1996. The duo, consisting of Simon Posford (a.k.a Hallucinogen) and Raja Ram, (from the Infinity project), have been responsible for groundbreaking albums such as “Tales of the Inexpressible”, “Nothing Lasts… But Nothing Is Lost”, and most recently, “Codex VI.”

Together, they have managed to create a sound that is unlike anything heard before, flawlessly blending the best elements of the ambient and world music genres.

While their recordings are no doubt great on their own, it is the live presence Shpongle offers that truly boggles the minds of their audiences. On stage, Posford is in charge of programming and instrumentation, and Raja expertly handles the shows broad musical concepts and flute arrangements.

The atmosphere these two create when on stage is delightfully bizarre, heavy with fluid, abstract visuals and shimmering colors. This visual/audio set up is known as the “Sphongletron”, and both new and old fans alike won’t want to miss out on its stop in Philadelphia this weekend.

Sphongle will hit The Electric Factory this saturday, October 28th with support from 5 AM, Pluto Era, and Blue Tech. Tickets are going fast, grab yours soon!

NGHTMRE Ups the Scare Factor with “The Killer”

NGHTMRE

With Halloween quickly approaching, it is certainly the season for all things spooky in the music world and beyond.

While NGHTMRE generally holds down an ominous aesthetic with his melodic-driven bass music, his newest release “The Killer” features his longtime friends and past roommates, Bret James & RNSOM, who take this track to the next level.

The 3 artists co-produced the track together before Bret James blessed the instrumental with his menacing lyrics and haunting vocals, pleading “I’m not the killer,” in such an anguished fashion that we’re almost convinced.

“The Killer” quickly gears up with sinister basslines and goosebump-inducing, mechanical synths reminiscent of chainsaws. Like its namesake, this is one track that simply seems made for the apex of a horror movie.

Given that NGHTMRE is in the midst of his “NGHTMRE Before Xmas” tour and will be making appearances at spooky fests this month – Voodoo, Escape, and Something Wicked, “The Killer” is bound to be in frequent circulation.

Rusko reveals he’s officially cancer-free!

Rusko

When Rusko announced he had gastic lymphoma cancer back in May, the EDM world was stunned.

Christoper William Mercer aka ‘Rusko‘ is a British electronic DJ and producer. After quickly making his way to the top in the Dubstep scene, Chris was forced to cancel his 2017 summer tour in order to start treatment.

After admitting himself to the ER thinking he had a bad bug, Rusko was told he’d been diagnosed with Lymphoma. Since then he’s been undergoing chemotherapy treatment.

In a recent interview with YourEDM, Rusko went all in telling his fans he’s officially   cancer-free. As a fan and as a fellow human-being, this is the best news we possibly could have received. The dubstep scene could really use you, were very glad to have you back.

“After I had a biopsy in my neck…it turned out that the lymphoma was everywhere. It was in my blood, it was in my bone marrow, it was in every organ in my body,” explained Rusko.

“For months leading up to that [cancer diagnosis], I had been sick, I had been vomiting a lot at night, and having really bad back pains, and chest pains and stuff, which turns out, it was tumors. There was actually tumors inside my body that was pressing on my spine…and my rib cage.”

Fentanyl Found in Cocaine Cause for Public Warning Announcement!

cocaine

Nashville, Tennessee issues a public warning announcement after recently seeing an increase with Fentanyl being mixed Cocaine and other recreational drugs.

Dealers often will prioritize profits over the health and safety of their buyers, creating this very scary reality where you just can never really know what’s safe and what isn’t.

As a result, three different cocaine samples recently tested by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations laboratories were positive for Fentanyl. Fentanyl is a powerful narcotic painkiller and is often seen being mixed with heroin.

Assistant Director of the TBI, T.J. Jordan, says this is the first time the agency has seen the two being mixed together in the samples they have collected. The cause for concern comes from Tennessee setting record numbers in deaths from overdose in 2016. Out of those 1,631 overdose deaths, 294 were fentanyl related, which was an increase of 74 percent from 2015.

While addressing the dangers involving fentanyl now being found even in “recreational drugs” and not only in opiates, Assistant Director Jordan warned to the public,

“This submission, however, changes the game. It proves the serious risk now also applies to recreational drugs beyond opioids. To be blunt: What you might buy and use, thinking it’s a good time, could cost you your life.”

Deadmau5 hits Tinder app looking for threesome !

Believe it not, Canadian progressive house DJ and producer Deadmau5 is on location-based app for meeting new people called Tinder.

You read that right. With a recent post, it seems like him and his newly wed Kelly Fedoni are on the prowl looking for some fun. The post basically says the couple wants a third member to join in for what looks to be a threesome, and possibly more.

The post kind of came as a shock. Other than his iconic sound, mau5 is known for being a weird Twitter troll. This might be the first headline for him that revolves around sexuality and not talking smack.

Numerous studies have shown that these types of relationships usually don’t pan out. Every couple handles their relationship different, and this is how they want to handle theirs. Good luck!

Here’s a look at his post on Tinder and what some of his fan think about the whole thing.
