Ferry Corsten releases his new ‘Blueprint’ concept album [Listen Here]

Ferry Corsten
Ferry Corsten

Ferry Corsten probes his musical exploration with Sci-fi concept album ‘Blueprint’ and world tour.

It’s been said that “space exploration is a force unto itself”, a statement that can aptly be applied to the experience of music discovery. A purveyor of a music with that timeless quality, Ferry Corsten actioned himself into taking his own artist exploration deeper with his fifth artist album.

Entitled ‘Blueprint’ because of his technical approach to this latest studio outing. This newest longplayer by the Rotterdam native was spawned from an idea to unite the music with a storyline that stretches beyond a nebulous lyrical theme. Combining his love for the art of screenwriting and film score Ferry has crafted ‘Blueprint’ as a concept release to put a wider perspective on his musical vision.

Ferry Corsten – Blueprint

Transcending any referential genre, ‘Blueprint’s storyline centres around two protagonists in Lukas and the extra-terrestrial being Vee. From a discovery to a bond to consciousness to interdimensional travel, ‘Blueprint’ embarks on a journey across the galaxy asking many questions from its listeners.

Encapsulated in the soundtrack is a musical narrative that entwines with a storyboard crafted by the minds of David H Miller (of ‘House Of Cards’ and Rosewood fame) and Ferry himself. The resulting effort gives the listener a conceptual direction that is breathtakingly beautiful. Narrated by Hollywood actor Campbell Scott (known for The Amazing Spider-Man and The Exorcism of Emily Rose), whose voice unravels the mystery of ‘Blueprint’s storyline.

With its opening title track ‘Blueprint’ the album commences in wondrous form straddling euphoria and seduction at its heart, as it shoots for the stars setting up for a cosmic ballet. The atmospherical payoff of ‘Venera (Vee’s Theme)’ is enchantingly uplifting, as listeners have their first encounter with Vee.

The vocal of Eric Lumiere adds depth to the character’s arrival with ‘Something To Believe In’ before ‘Edge Of The Skye’, featuring Haliene, ignites an odyssey to ‘A World Beyond’. The weaving metronomic build of ‘Trust’ is industriously rich and perfectly poised for this interstellar exploration. Whilst the otherworldly tones of ‘Lonely Inside’ beam us into the isolation of Space and renders all meaning beyond one emotion, desire.

The sentiment on Haliene’s voice pierces through on the tense ‘Piece of You’ before we head into the third act and encounter “The Drum” again on ‘Drum’s A Weapon’. The album majestically concludes with the beautiful combo of Haliene & Eric Lumiere on ‘Another Sunrise’ and the ‘Eternity’ with its Shepherd scale-esque splendour.

A brave and unique studio release from one of the most iconic artists in the electronic scene but Ferry’s attempts with ‘Blueprint’ are simply to bring a wider perspective to the listener, as he aims the album to be inclusive of dimensions of religion, history, ideals and science fiction.

Live Nation Enhances it’s Security at Featured Events !!! [Details Here]

With everything that’s been happening these days involving terrorist act’s, the ultra famous concert promoter company ‘Live Nation‘ announces they are drastically enhancing their security at featured events.

This is all in the midst of the aftermath following the terrible bombing that occurred in Manchester, England during an Ariana Grande concert this past week. Alongside Manchester’s tragedy, news has now arisen that Las Vegas may be a future target for the terrorist organization just weeks before EDC Las Vegas.

The pathetic cowardly act has pushed the company to issue these new policies which will ultimately make concerts and festivals a safer place for party-goers.

Some new policies immediately effective include backpack and purse limitations. Live Nation is encouraging patrons to just not bring a bag at all and enjoy the new “no bag express lanes”. Personal bags or purses must be only 12″ x 12″ x 6″ and will not be permitted inside if not within those boundaries.

Live Nation events include Creamfields, Bonaroo, EDC Las Vegas, EDC Orlando, Electric Forest, HARD Summer, Lollapalooza, Governor’s Ball, and many more.

This may take some time to get used to and may get annoying but at the end of the day it’s for our safety, so we should appreciate it!

Pigeon caught smuggling almost 200 Ecstasy Pills [PICTURES]

A homing pigeon has been caught smuggling almost 200 ecstasy pills in a homemade ‘backpack’ after police tracked its progress across the border of two countries.

Since the 12th century pigeons have been used to deliver messages at long distances, but it seems in the 21st century, the small birds have a much more modern use. Drug dealers have found a new way to smuggle drugs. They used a pigeon wearing a tiny backpack to smuggle ecstasy pills into Kuwait, it has been reported.

Police tracked the bent bird as it flew from neighbouring Iraq and swooped as it crossed the border.

ISIS Targets Las Vegas in new video just weeks before EDC Las Vegas [VIDEO]

Alongside Manchester’s tragedy, news has now arisen that Las Vegas may be a future target for the terrorist organization.

According to Las Vegas Now, the City of Las Vegas has emerged once again as a potential terror target in an ISIS propaganda video.

In the video that calls for lone wolf attacks, several Strip properties were prominently displayed.

Speaking on the possible uprise of extremism and terrorism within Las Vegas, Clark County Sherriff Joe Lombardo notes that, “I wouldn’t put a title in particular to ISIS. I would say any terrorism group would consider Las Vegas a target.”

US festival-goers automatically think of EDC Las Vegas and Reddit is alight with conversations about security concerns for the festival this year.

Christopher Caruthers, a terrorism expert, said the people of Las Vegas should feel safe despite the video. He said he believes it’s just a scare tactic and said they picked Las Vegas to be in the video for a reason.

“We’re viewed as an immoral people,” Caruthers said. “People come here and they experience things they would’ve never imagined, because they come here and fall into the ‘sin’ portion of ‘Sin City.’ Then they go back and they feel so ashamed at what they’ve done and go back and tell people about how horrible this country is.”

The Las Vegas division of the FBI agreed with Caruthers and released a statement.

“The FBI Routinely shares information with our state, local, & federal law enforcement, intelligence and homeland security partners in order to keep our citizens safe,” the statement said.

Meanwhile the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department held a press conference regarding steps they’re taking to keep the strip safe.

“That’s what we do, that’s who we are. is trying to ensure the safety and prevent any kind of terrorist activity,” said Metro Captain Christopher Darcy.

Armin van Buuren Responds to Accusations of Plagiarism [Details Here]

This past weekend the Trance legend Armin van Buuren has found himself in an unusual place. Known for his laid-back personality, Armin is being accused of copyright and plagiarism and has got a lot of drama on his hands.

What started it all were the strange similarities in the name and logo design of his new 13 show residency in Ibiza and a Detroit Techno Collective’s name.

His new party residency at Ibiza’s new night club “Hi Ibiza” is titled “U R”, and the techno collective based in Detroit is known as ‘Underground Resistance‘ with a logo of ‘UR’. Apparently they don’t feel too comfortable with the similarities in names.

They have expressed their concerns by saying, “is there no shame? What happened to electronic creativity? What the fuck is it all about the money?? To “those who know” MOVE TO CONDITION RED!! To those who steal culture, you have been warned.”

Armin has since had to defend himself and has claimed that the name came from a previous Armin concept derived from the famous ‘Universal Religion‘. Here’s what he had to say.

In a full statement, Armin van Buuren stated:

“I would like to start off by saying how unfortunate and unpleasant this situation is for everyone involved. My team, the team of Hï/Ushuaïa and myself were not aware of the similarities between our logo and the logo of Underground Resistance. Originally, UR – the name of the new event through which I’ll perform in Ibiza every week – is derived from Universal Religion, an older but nonetheless known Armin van Buuren concept. The logo, which consists of a custom-made font and frame, was designed to conform with the Armin van Buuren brand. After careful deliberation, my team, the team of Hï/Ushuaïa and myself have decided to keep the name UR as it is and to adjust the symbol. I trust that media, fans and Underground Resistance will be able to understand this decision.”

UR

It’s hard to think Armin is out there trying to steal other people’s product. He’s always been so original and legendary, but I’m sure the accusers in Detroit would tell you other wise. Stay tuned for future updates!

Festival-goers are getting excited as EDC Las Vegas creeps around the corner, but this Craigslist dude seems to be a little too pumped as he throws out offers for the perfect “traveling partner” to share the weekend experience with.

Electric Daisy Carnival is one of the biggest electronic dance music festivals in the world, with its flagship held annually in Las Vegas, Nevada. This year they are expected to have over 400 thousand attendees throughout the three-day weekend, one of them being this creepy Craigslist guy.

With his name unknown, the topless man posted a request for a companion to not only travel with, but also share a two-bed hotel room and have a “marathon of fun.” Selling his extra ticket for $480, he’s looking for the perfect girl to party with and oh don’t worry, he’s not interested in “hook ups.”

Check it out ladies! I wonder who the lucky girl will be?!
