It’s no secret that Deadmau5 loves to troll on Twitter but who would of thought that he’d be conversing tweets with the legendary Barry Manilow? And about EDC Las Vegas?
Just a few days ago, Manilow, 73-year-old American singer-songwriter, took to Twitter, sarcastically asking Deadmau5 if he’d be seeing him at EDC next year.
Zimmerman quickly responded saying the Electric Daisy Carnival isn’t really his thing but he’ll definitely be hitting him up next time he’s in the neighborhood.
As Deadmau5 has made his hatred for EDC very clear in the past, this news isn’t so surprising to us. Last year, Zimmerman, of course resorting to Twitter, made it very known that the Electric Daisy Carnival is not his favorite place on Earth.
think about it… here are my options, go play EDC with every fucking DJ in the world, or corner my own fucking market. GEE, tough call.
Following Deadmau5 and Manilow’s earlier tweets, Zimmerman tweeted a comment back on a picture the singer posted, asking, “Why can’t we be friends Barry?” Manilow didn’t hesitate to respond.
Like most of you guys already know, many fans began to worry about the French DJ and producer, following his disappearance from social media.
DJ Snake’s social disappearance was all the more puzzling because it happened on the same day when he canceled his performance at Hangout Music Festival and also sent out a final snap labeled, “Tu ma’s decu” meaning “you’ve disappointed me” before going total dark.
The worry was compounded three days ago, because he was scheduled to perform at this weekend’s Wynn in Las Vegas, but his talent agency announced he is “not able to perform” at the show.
Today, the producer finally reactivated his Twitter and Instagram accounts, and he also returned to Snapchat sharing a picture of a nondescript bridge in Paris. DJ Snake‘s followers were clearly happy that he is posting on social media again.
We still don’t know what was the reason behind all this, but we just hope it’s not something serious.
Canadian DJ and producer, Deadmau5 performed under his underground techno alias, Testpilot, for the first time in four years, like a headliner at Movement’s Sunday Mainstage.
During his set at Movement, a three-day techno festival held over the Memorial Day weekend at Hart Plaza in downtown Detroit, because of the rain, Deadmau5 experienced quite a few technical problems out of his control.
There was a long pause during his set, but the Canadian producer dealt with the situation by cracking jokes and drinking beer on stage. We all know that Joel is very professional and highly skilled musician, and this kind of technical difficulties can happen to everyone.
A fan was there to capture the moment:
Who caught the secret @deadmau5 comedy set tonight?
A little over a week ago, the French Dj and producer, DJ Snake unexpectedly dissapeared after canceling his performance at Hangout Music Fest and simultaneously removed his Twitter and Instagram accounts.
The French producer was also scheduled to perform at this weekend’s Wynn in Las Vegas for Memorial Day weekend, but according to his talent agency, Paradigm, he is “not able to perform” at the show.
We regret to announce that DJ Snake will not be able to perform at the Wynn on Friday, May 26. (1/2)

He is disappointed to miss this weekend’s event, but looks forward to returning to the Wynn on June 30 at XS. (2/2)

We really hope everything is fine with DJ Snake, cause we and lot of his friends and fans began to worry about him. He is also scheduled to appear at Insomniac‘s Electric Forest for Weekend 2. These are his only scheduled shows for the month of June. He also plays HARD Summer the following weekend, August 5.

The mysterious masked DJ and producer, Marshmello, has one of the most devoted fan base in the world called “Mellogang”. He’s always got time for his fans though- and clearly loves them just as much as they love him.
The masked producer recently shared a touching video of him surprising a 3-year-old Lethan from Dallas. You guys might remember when Marshmello was dancing with young Lethan, adorned in his own miniature Marshmello setup. And now the DJ/producer brought him up on stage during his set at Hangout Music Festival to act as a hype man, and the result was beyond adorable.
“Never have we ever met anyone so humble, genuine, and kind like Mello & Moe. You guys have been so good to Lethan and as parents of Lethan, we’re very grateful and cannot thank you enough for making his dreams come true. He’s been a fan since he was 2 years old and his love for music, especially for Marshmello, was all he could talk about everyday.
Thank you thank you thank you! @shalizi You are such a standup guy and been good to us. Thanks for the multiple opportunities and your kind heart. @marshmellomusic Thank you for keeping your word and letting Lethan come on stage with you. You have inspired him even more! He loves you and looks up to you 😊 Thank you for what you do and for your fans.” – @lethan_and_leanne
Insomniac‘s biggest festival Electric Daisy Carnival – Las Vegas, is just 3 weeks away and as Las Vegas gears up for the big event, spoiler pictures of the brand new Kinetic GAIA main stage are coming out.
Insomniac’s head Pasquale Rotella is teasing us with parts of the EDC‘s new main stage these last couple of days. Last week he posted to his personal Instagram profile a picture of an open palm, and today he gives us a quick view into more of the “kinetic GAIA“stage build sharing a picture of Insomniac’s well-known Owl.
His description stated:
“5-story high owl ready to make its voyage to EDC Las Vegas 2017! Just one small element to complement the centerpiece of the #kineticGAIA stage experience.👉*human provided for scale”
As the rave community continues to grow each day with new DJ’s, festivals and trends, the flashy fashion that comes along with scene is also progressing. There’s already LED costumes, shoes, jewelry and kitty ears, and from now you’ll be able to wear LED makeup! Eyelashes, to be exact.
Labeled the “Fun Flashes”, and the newest thing to hit the EDM world, these lashes will come with fully functional LED lighting that react with your movement. The LED eyelashes come with three different modes, ’tilt mode’, ‘jump mode’ and ‘sparkle mode’.
The product was demonstrated at Maker Faire and look awesome. Word is that a kick-starter is hopefully in the works and may be launched sometime this summer. Sounds like they’ll come just in time for the summers biggest festivals like Tomorrowland, Electric Forest and Mysteryland.

Ferry Corsten probes his musical exploration with Sci-fi concept album ‘Blueprint’ and world tour.
It’s been said that “space exploration is a force unto itself”, a statement that can aptly be applied to the experience of music discovery. A purveyor of a music with that timeless quality, Ferry Corsten actioned himself into taking his own artist exploration deeper with his fifth artist album.
Entitled ‘Blueprint’ because of his technical approach to this latest studio outing. This newest longplayer by the Rotterdam native was spawned from an idea to unite the music with a storyline that stretches beyond a nebulous lyrical theme. Combining his love for the art of screenwriting and film score Ferry has crafted ‘Blueprint’ as a concept release to put a wider perspective on his musical vision.
Ferry Corsten – Blueprint
Transcending any referential genre, ‘Blueprint’s storyline centres around two protagonists in Lukas and the extra-terrestrial being Vee. From a discovery to a bond to consciousness to interdimensional travel, ‘Blueprint’ embarks on a journey across the galaxy asking many questions from its listeners.
Encapsulated in the soundtrack is a musical narrative that entwines with a storyboard crafted by the minds of David H Miller (of ‘House Of Cards’ and Rosewood fame) and Ferry himself. The resulting effort gives the listener a conceptual direction that is breathtakingly beautiful. Narrated by Hollywood actor Campbell Scott (known for The Amazing Spider-Man and The Exorcism of Emily Rose), whose voice unravels the mystery of ‘Blueprint’s storyline.
With its opening title track ‘Blueprint’ the album commences in wondrous form straddling euphoria and seduction at its heart, as it shoots for the stars setting up for a cosmic ballet. The atmospherical payoff of ‘Venera (Vee’s Theme)’ is enchantingly uplifting, as listeners have their first encounter with Vee.
The vocal of Eric Lumiere adds depth to the character’s arrival with ‘Something To Believe In’ before ‘Edge Of The Skye’, featuring Haliene, ignites an odyssey to ‘A World Beyond’. The weaving metronomic build of ‘Trust’ is industriously rich and perfectly poised for this interstellar exploration. Whilst the otherworldly tones of ‘Lonely Inside’ beam us into the isolation of Space and renders all meaning beyond one emotion, desire.
The sentiment on Haliene’s voice pierces through on the tense ‘Piece of You’ before we head into the third act and encounter “The Drum” again on ‘Drum’s A Weapon’. The album majestically concludes with the beautiful combo of Haliene & Eric Lumiere on ‘Another Sunrise’ and the ‘Eternity’ with its Shepherd scale-esque splendour.
A brave and unique studio release from one of the most iconic artists in the electronic scene but Ferry’s attempts with ‘Blueprint’ are simply to bring a wider perspective to the listener, as he aims the album to be inclusive of dimensions of religion, history, ideals and science fiction.
