David Guetta’s Ushuaia Ibiza closing party livestream is the most watched TikTok LIVE by a DJ

Dance music icon David Guetta is in a celebratory mood after hosting the most successful TikTok live streams by a DJ last week.

Recorded live and direct from the closing party for his legendary Ushuaïa F*** Me I’m Famous party in Ibiza, the stream racked up 638,400 unique viewers and will go down as the biggest TikTok live stream from a DJ, with Guetta gaining 100k new followers on the platform throughout the stream.

The landmark TikTok live stream came off the back of Guetta’s world-conquering new single ‘I’m Good (Blue)’ with Bebe Rexha, which has become a global smash primarily due to its success on the app.

Flow Music is an Australian record label focused on melodic house with organic sounds and the imprint’s new release features original music from Tonelab plus remixes by Nōpi and El Mundo.

Philip Rex aka Tonelab is an Australian artist based in Melbourne who has also released on world-renowned labels such as Traum. He has been involved in music from a young age and before his career in electronic music, he was a jazz musician famed for being one of Australia’s most in-demand double bass players.

He was also one half of the Decoy duo and has performed at festivals across the globe such as Vuuv, Glade, Wonderland, Rainbow Serpent, Earthcore, Eclipse and Maitreya.

Tonelab Inhale Exhale

El Mundo featured on the last Flow Music release when he collaborated on a remix with regular production partner Zazou. This time the German producer is working in a solo capacity in the deep and organic style he has previously featured on the likes of Crosstown Rebels, Get Physical and Akbal Music.

Nōpi is a young Ukrainian producer who is making his debut on Flow Music following outings on scene-leading record labels such as Anjunadeep, Do Not Sit and All Day I Dream.

Inhale Exhale” is the EP’s original track and it’s got a slow-burning groove with haunting male vocals and poignant chords layered with soaring pads and dance floor focused percussion. Nōpi‘s remix of Inhale Exhale strips back the original and layers new tribal percussion plus a sub-heavy bassline to create a techy version full of atmosphere. El Mundo‘s remix introduces a new piano riff to create a spine-tingling version that’s full of suspense, while the original’s vocals fill it with emotion.

Exclusive Interview With Dj & Producer SEGØ

SEGØ is the dance-pop brainchild of DJ, producer & songwriter Luke Sego. Dedicated to paving his own way in the scene, staying true to his roots with his happy-go-lucky, punk-tinged music and high energy performances. In the past year, SEGØ has established his name as an in-demand DJ, sharing the stage with heavy hitters John Summit, Audien, Cash Cash, Bijou & Nostalgix, as well as inking his nightclub residency at Nashville’s Dirty Little Secret.

Fast forward to the present, it’s now the turn of ‘Fixing Me‘ to take centre stage – with Feather & SEGØ serving up a firm dose of their trademark sound, coupled with a standout vocal performance from U.S. based Rajiv Dhall. That’s the reason why we sat down with him to talk about this powerful banger that’s already making a splash.

1. A warm welcome to Rave Jungle, SEGØ! How’s ’22 been so far?

2022 has been an amazing year so far, for me the highlights have been all the amazing shows and artists that I’ve played with, as well as all the new music coming out. “Fixing Me” has been in the works since earlier this year, and I’m so excited to have it out, as well as all the new tunes coming up the rest of the year.

2. Marking the release of your single ‘Fixing Me’ with Feather, is this the first time you’ve collaborated?

This is our first time collaborating on a release, ever since I met Feather I knew I wanted to work on something with him, and “Fixing Me” just fit both of our styles perfectly, it was a real joy getting to work on this song together

3. How long was the track in production?

We started working on a song together early this year, after tossing a couple ideas around Kyle sent me this amazing demo vocal he had gotten from Rajiv, and from there we produced the track over the course of a couple different sessions over the summer.

4. Also featuring Rajiv Dhall, how have you worked together previously?

No, this is my first time working with Rajiv, he’s such an amazing songwriter. We had a lot of fun writing sessions together in his studio working on this record, and I absolutely love the vocals he cut on it.

5. You also DJ across your homeland & beyond, in one word how would you describe the sound of your sets?

Euphoric!

6. Are you & Feather planning on any subsequent remixes of ‘Fixing Me’?

Yes, “Fixing Me” is a part of Feather’s new album “We Are For Each Other” which just released! He’s dropping a remix album with the songs from “WAFEO” and the “Fixing Me – Sintra Remix” will be on that, as well as my remix of his track with Badnights “Wasted Time” which I’m really excited about as well.

7. Lastly, are there any other future release plans you can share with our readers?

Yes! I have loads of remixes coming out in the next couple months, then some new SEGØ music to end the year and kick off my spring tour coming up, so definitely stay tuned!

Charlotte de Witte has unveiled brand-new EP ‘Apollo’ on her own KNTXT label

Charlotte de Witte

Belgian techno powerhouse Charlotte de Witte has unveiled brand-new EP ‘Apollo’, out 14th October on her own KNTXT label.

An uncompromising collection of club tracks, ‘Apollo‘ opens with ‘Missing Channel‘, a turbo-charged acid techno cut pairing pumping kick drums with squelching 303s.

Next up, the title track shifts things into warehouse techno territories, juxtaposing bludgeoning kicks with haunting, ethereal vocals, while ‘Mercury‘ cultivates a striking interstellar energy. Closing things out, ‘PPC‘ is by far the record’s most experimental track, a shimmering, beatless creation laced with samples of space transmissions.

“The vastness and solitude of space always interested me. A compelling contrast between monumental power and the vacuum in between.” Charlotte explains. “This diversion can also be found in techno music, a pure simplicity divergent in power.”

Charlotte de Witte Apollo EP

It follows April EP ‘Universal Consciousness‘, while Charlotte‘s perpetually stacked touring schedule includes performances at Amsterdam Dance Event, Creamfields Chile and Beyond The Valley Australia in the coming weeks and months.

At ADE, she will spearhead a KNTXT label takeover of the city’s Ziggo Dome, and the label will also collaborate with clothing brand Filling Pieces during the week-long event. If that wasn’t enough, she will soon head to South America for KNTXT showcases in Buenos Aires and São Paulo.

Charlotte de Witte has become known for her dark, stripped-back brand of techno, acid and anything high energy. She’s often crossing borders but maintains a deep form of respect for the underground.

Highlight performances across the continents – including being the first techno (and female) DJ to headline the mainstage at Tomorrowland – Mixmag and DJ Mag covers, high-ranking positions in the charts and lists confirm her status as nouveaux techno royalty.

Heavy, breakneck club fodder, ‘Apollo EP‘ is Charlotte de Witte at her bold and brilliant best.

ARTBAT, David Guetta & Idris Elba combine for powerful new track “It’s Ours”

As ARTBAT’s imprint UPPERGROUND reaches its sixth release, the Ukrainian DJ and producer duo release their collaboration with one of the biggest names in dance music, two time Grammy Award winning artist David Guetta, and the highly influential and popular DJ, producer and actor Idris Elba, to create the authoritative and euphoric track ‘It’s Ours’.

ARTBAT have been showcasing their emotive brand of melodic house & techno around the globe this summer, taking in performances at Tomorrowland, Coachella, Exit and more. Another highlight of this summer was when they performed an exclusive back to back session with David Guetta in July at the French DJs massively popular ‘Future Rave‘ night at Hi Ibiza.

David Guetta‘s ‘Future Rave‘ movement began back in 2019, with him creating his blend of dark and electrifying techno and progressive house, which has served as an entry point for many of his fan base to delve deeper into the world of underground dance music and explore new sounds, which when seeing the crowds at the event, has clearly been a huge success.

Equally at Hi Ibiza on Friday night this summer, 7 Wallace label owner Idris Elba has been packing the Club room each and every week, enthralling clubbers with his raw and energetic, bass line driven house music, which has complimented perfectly with the darker sounds of the Theatre room.

The English artist has been serving a slew of dance floor weapons including notable tracks such as Body Shots, Biggest and On Life, which was also remixed by David Guetta under his Jack Back alias.

This is the first time a mega pop star, an actor and underground artists, from three very different sounding genres, have done such a collaboration, and you may ask yourself, how is this record going to sound? Between them all, they have created a quintessential hypnotic melodic techno track titled ‘It’s Ours‘.

A track powered by a sense of pious energy, using immense soundscapes and an unforgettable synth riff to encapsulate the crowd, before Elba‘s inimitable and iconic voice conveys a message of freedom, energy, and thoughts that everything around that belongs to whole universe in the breakdown to bring unity and rapture for those listening on the dance floor.
