Created by Erica Synths & Richie Hawtin, Bullfrog is an educational electronic music instrument designed to captivate and inspire both youth and professionals alike. Bullfrog invites you to unlock musicality while combining the thrill of electronic music production with a comprehensive learning experience.
Bullfrog is a classical subtractive synthesiser – it consists of several “modules” for sound generation – VCO, NOISE GENERATOR – and treatment – VCF, VCA/DELAY, as well as “modules” that generate control and modulation signals to control them – ENVELOPE GENERATORS and SAMPLE & HOLD.
The Bullfrog will not make the sound on its own unless it is patched – using eurorack patch cables to interconnect the “modules” or by inserting voice cards that create internal connections between the “modules” in a specific way and add extra functionality, like sampler/looper, sequencer, groovebox, etc. This approach better helps to understand functionality of a subtractive synthesizer and the principles of sound design with instruments like these.
In order to provide a well rounded understanding of the functionality of this synthesizer and sound synthesis in general, a comprehensive user manual is created to accompany the learning process.

As a teenager I felt like I was searching for the right outlet to transit my creativity and in synthesis I found a path.

Whether someone’s experience with Bullfrog points them down a career in electronic music or not, our goal is to both nurture a passion for electronically produced sounds and promote a fun easy learning path into basic sound synthesis.
We believe that the hands-on approach and problem solving that is innate to synthesis on a semi-modular synth like the Bullfrog, contains life lessons that go beyond what we can hear. Following a string of highly acclaimed anthems by Future Rave inventors David Guetta and MORTEN, the duo’s Future Rave label hits another milestone, as it welcomes an external artist for the very first time.
New release “On A Roll” was already making waves as a white label this year, including a momentous premiere by David Guetta on Ultra Music Festival.
Now, as the song is officially released, it’s revealed the artist behind it is none other than Sander van Doorn, marking a new path in his sound design, and an exciting full return to the mainstage for the renowned Dutch DJ/producer.

Be sure to roll with this tune, as it’s out now on Future Rave. Having built quite the resume these last years with the hugely popular Future Rave sound, David Guetta & MORTEN aren’t only pioneers of the genre, they own it.
Kickstarted with their 2019 hit “Make It To Heaven” to 2020’s claim to fame “Dreams” to 2021’s rave anthem “Impossible” and last year’s “You Can’t Change Me,” the duo has created a new, upwinding sound to shake mainstages on their foundations.
Building on contemporary big room, while adding oldschool rave chords and blazing vocals, the duo has ushered in a new era of electronic dance music, hot and overwhelming in every sense. Last year, this was emphasized with the launch of the duo’s Future Rave label, immediately hitting the crowds with anthems like “Element,” “You Can’t Change Me” (feat. Raye) and this year’s hit “Lost In The Rhythm.”
Anticipation on Future Rave’s next release got high, so when “On A Roll” was debuted by David Guetta in Miami, unleashing the genre’s characteristic drops and mesmerizing synths, it was expected the infamous duo was behind it. Going round as a white label, though, the record became somewhat of a mystery. As the ID continued to be pushed by Guetta and MORTEN, as well as receiving support from DJ’s like Mike Williams, Yves V and Blasterjaxx, the plot thickened, making everyone eager to discover the artist behind it.
With the official release of “On A Roll,” it’s become clear none other than Sander van Doorn is behind the record. Known for a continuous search for fresh sounds, the Dutch artist has explored genres since his rise to fame in the early zeroes.
Blending tech house, techno, and progressive into his own trademark sound, he’s enriched the scene with countless hits and anthems, from original productions to rougher techno smashes under his Purple Haze moniker.
“On A Roll” aptly builds on this resume, seeing him venture on a brand new path in terms of sound design, taking him back to the mainstage where he’s caused a stir for many years. Setting off with hypnotizing, syncopated synths, the song drops into a deep, bass driven beat, nicely held together by punchy percussion, drenched in filtered effects.

This year’s edition of Lovefest, festival recently ranked 35th best in the world will undoubtedly be the most powerful the festival has had in its 16 years of existence.

Charlotte de Witte, the girl who claimed the top spot on DJ Mag‘s prestigious list last year, will grace the largest stage of Lovefest this year. These days, Charlotte is known for her remix of “Age Of Love,” which she recorded with her partner Enrico Sangiuliano, who will also be performing at the sixteenth edition of Lovefest. Drawing inspiration from Heldens’ techno-oriented alter ego HI-LO, ‘Sound Of Vondel’ is a darkly propulsive and atmospheric journey that perfectly evokes the epic next-level gameplay that fans worldwide have come to expect from Call of Duty. The Palms continues its legacy this Fall as a destination for upbeat sonics and an open-to-close party atmosphere. The stage is led by Basement Jaxx (DJ Set), another British production powerhouse whose seminal tracks like ‘Where’s Your Head At’ and ‘Romeo’ remain some of the most anthemic productions of all time. Techno fans of all creeds will tell you that City Steps remains one of North America’s most consistent showcases of storied 4/4 producers and leftfield wildcards. The genre’s biggest stars have gathered for the Fall 2023 edition, a roster complete with Charlotte de Witte, Amelie Lens, and FJAAK (DJ Set).
The dark corners of European club culture are brought to the light with sounds from the quick on her feet experimental producer HAAi, a special back to back from the always innovative Objekt and Call Super, and American high-voltage export Nikki Nair. Announcing three individual stages, attendees are encouraged to explore the different levels of the stadium, visiting The Arena stage, The Warehouse and The Basement. Fusing house, trance, techno, hardstyle, and almost everything in between, Insomnia Dance Festival will offer something for everyone.
In tandem with the music, Insomnia will showcase state-of-the-art light shows, interactive installations and a wide variety of food and drink options to ensure that festival-goers have the best experience in every aspect.
The largest indoor venue in Switzerland, the Hallenstadion is also steeped in history and tradition. From The Rolling Stones and U2, to EMINEM and Barbra Streisand – its stage has hosted the world’s most revered and cherished acts since it first opened its doors in 1939.
In addition, the venue has held countless non-music events, featuring Barack Obama, the Dalai Lama and Roger Federer’s 2010 Match for Africa against Rafael Nadal. On the electronic music, front the Hallenstadion hosted the ‘Energy Raves’ for over 20 years, playing a leading and influential role in promoting The Street Parade both nationally and internationally, and contributing to the establishment and success of electronic music in Switzerland at a very early stage.
Following various renovation projects, the Hallenstadion now stands as one of the country’s most modern event venues, and has won multiple global awards for ‘Best Event Location’ over the past few years.

Collaborating to great effect on labels like Hooj Choons and Cleveland City Digital, Jay Farina and regular studio partner Quinzi have been playing across Europe while cooking up a take on house music that is fresh and full of irresistible grooves.
Joining forces for their biggest release to date, the pair head to Hot Creations to open the summer with their two-track ‘Pumpin The Junk’ EP.
“We set out to create a blend of classic old-school vibes influenced by the early nineties whilst wanting to keep an organic feel to the record, keeping it fresh.”. – Jay Farina & Quinzi.
‘Pumpin The Junk’ is a sleazy, low-slung and driving house cut with raw and edgy percussion, while the vibrant vocals and old-school rave stabs all light up the track with the sort of character that gets a floor going wild.
Next comes ‘The Buzz’, which is exactly that, the type of steamy house groove to get people moving. Rolling drums are overlaid with jumbled toms and fluttering snares before a monstrous bassline brings the warmth, while fiery vocals, drum fills and filtered FX all add more texture and tension to this red-hot offering.
