Patrick Topping returns with uplifting new track ‘Make Me Happy’ ft. Might Delete Later

Superstar DJ Patrick Topping returns with his new single ‘Make Me Happy’ coming via Ministry of Sound.

Make Me Happy’ is a high-energy, heavy-hitting club banger fit for uplifting moments on the dancefloor. Featuring vocals from breakthrough Dutch artist Might Delete Later, the track elevates its killer topline hooks with piercing synths and a ravey house groove.

The single releases off the back of an impressive live schedule for Patrick Topping, including a Trick sell-out Printworks closing show, Snowbombing Festival, and Patrick’s recently announced residency at Hi Ibiza this Summer.

Speaking about the single, Patrick says:

“I’m really excited to release Make Me Happy, it’s been going off in my sets! I’ve been playing Hard House for years but have never actually made any, so that’s what I initially set out to do with this, however it ended up being some unexpected hybrid!

I think it’s quite a unique track. Kinda like a ravey, hard, tech-house banger with a touch of donk and an unbelievable vocal from Might Delete Later. One of the most uplifting and energetic tracks I’ve ever made. Which was created equally with the dance floor in mind, as well as home listening.”

With his latest single, Patrick Topping crafts another piece of high-grade dance floor weaponry. ‘Make Me Happy’ is sure to be a fan favourite this summer.

Butch & Nic Fanciulli join forces for a brand new single “I Want You”

nic fanciulli album

Two of electronic music’s most revered names, Butch and Nic Fanciulli join forces for a record drenched in summertime energy ‘I Want You’. An Ibiza record for the summer if ever there was one, with its arresting groove, warm, looped rhythms, and teeming with rich percussion, the unmistakable sonic aesthetics of both Butch and Nic are loud and clear on the track.

A collaborative production debut for the two dance heavyweights, who previously have teamed up to remix, the pair’s wealth of club experience and knowledge glimmer throughout, as expertly timed drops and a slick, effortless feel to the composition make this unmissable Defected release

“I have known Nic for many years, always bumping into each other at different parties and locations around the world but we had never made a track together. During this period, I was traveling through Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Ibiza, and Germany and I guess drawing some musical inspiration from these places, especially Balearic sound. I had this track that I really didn’t know what to do next, so I decided to send it to Nic to see what he would come back with. And this is how ‘I Want You’ was born… “Butch

“I Want You’ started with me and Butch having a chat about finally doing a collab. He sent me over 15 different loops and ideas and I picked this one straight away. I had the loop on repeat for about an hour and then attacked it. We sent it back and forth a couple of times and it was finished.

I remember road testing it out that weekend and the crowd really going off. I think remote producing is way better than both sitting in a room as you don’t have to worry about what each other thinks. When this happens and you’re not fighting it, you just know the record works.”Nic Fanciulli

Technoheads love Butch; House heads love Butch, as well as the deep and dirty and the light and bright. Few artists flow through genres and emotional landscapes with such ease and fluidity as Bülent, challenging preconceptions of the dance floor and the expected outcome in the process.

The spark behind his excursions is natural: As a music lover, he’s always stayed open to different styles and aesthetics. As an artist, he’s always allowed himself to express his take on each genre –it’s true that with Butch, you never know what to expect, other than consistently fresh and unique output. Truly a restless entity, over the years, he’s built two trailblazing labels from the ground up in Otherside and Bouq, holds several residencies at parties and venues such as Sankeys and DC10 in Ibiza, Robert Johnson in Offenbach, Germany, and continues to prove time and time again, that he is here to stay.

Nic Fanciulli is an influential figure in the international dance scene, with a multitude of projects showcasing his diverse talents. He has become a respected name in Ibiza, having run successful residencies at iconic venues like Pacha and Ushuaia. We Are The Night, his solo residency at Pacha, has expanded beyond Ibiza to hold parties in Croatia, Barcelona, Miami, New York, and Mexico.

As a producer, Nic‘s solo tracks and remixes have received critical acclaim, including a Grammy Nomination. His sleek, intelligent yet driving strain of house and techno has made him a sought-after DJ, with compilation CDs for Renaissance, Global Underground, Balance, and Defected In the House, as well as three Essential Mixes. Nic founded Saved Records, one of the UK’s biggest house and techno labels, which has become a global brand renowned for cutting-edge releases and standout events.

Nic‘s genuine desire to share music led him to start The Social, a worldwide festival brand that began as a one-day event in Maidstone and has since grown to a three-day festival, with plans to hold parties in Mexico and Colombia. His journey to success has been organic, born out of his love for the scene and a tireless work ethic that sees him tour the globe relentlessly.

Enrico Sangiuliano Releases Highly-Anticipated Two-Track ‘Physical Change’ EP

One of techno’s brightest contemporary stars, Enrico Sangiuliano, has been embarking on a journey of self-growth and musical discovery through his temporary record label NINETOZERO.

Following the chart-topping success of his Reflection EP alongside Charlotte de Witte back in March, the Emilia native now unveils the next conceptually-directed chapter in the imprint’s finite anthology of releases.

The two-track Physical Change EP is out now across all streaming platforms, landing ahead of his correlative SOLO show at 99 Scott, New York on May 13.

Enrico Sangiuliano Physical Change EP

As the EP’s title suggests, Sangiuliano’s latest offering analyses the notion of physical change in all its forms. Tethered to the roots of NINETOZERO’s overruling theme of time, his latest works express the narrative of mutation and evolution within sound.

The extended player’s title track presents as a peak-time worthy offering with an erratic edge. Experimenting with distorted, acid-leaning synth lines, the track’s melodic complexities serve as a sonic depiction of the unpredictability of change.

Pulse Of Progression is another hard-hitting cut with endless amounts of intrigue and originality. True to its name, the B-side delivers a tantalising web of melodic synth intricacies above a pulsating foundation of percussion, giving listeners a real sense of progression and journey within the concept of change.

In conjunction with NINETOZERO’s countdown of releases, Enrico launched his SOLO event series last year at the late Marktkantine, Amsterdam.

Expanding the label’s narrative and ethos into an immersive live event, his all-night-long shows highlight the evanescent beauty of music and club culture, whilst providing audiences with the intended setting to experience his NINETOZERO opuses.

Celebrating this latest chapter, Enrico brings his SOLO show to Scott 99, New York on May 13, marking the series’ first stateside edition to date.

Dea Magna and KAYA Team Up On Transformative House-Pop Hybrid In ‘Lights’

Releasing the established label Groove Bassment, two talents have aligned their styles on one riveting release in “Lights.” The single brings together several house genres to make something that’s integral, filled with originality, and is undeniably catchy.

Both Dea Magna and KAYA have years of experience under their belt, “Lights,” is the epic birth child of their efforts as the sounds of each artist can be heard within.

Whether it be the deep house basslines, the melodic energy afoot, or the moving vocals that take you to a special place and allows you to let go of your troubles for a moment, “Lights,” nails it with beautiful execution.

Dea Magna has been killing the game on many fronts. Starting off, she has an upcoming release with Virgin Records, not an easy achievement to secure. She’s been supported by names like R3HAB, EDX, and Morgan J as well as has released on Sirup Records, Soave Records, TurnItUp Muzik and Swutch over her career.

KAYA has locked in his own excellent moments as well, he has shared the stage with Deadmau5, Meduza, HUGEL, Joel Corry, and A-Trak. On top of this, he signed his first release under the KAYA brand with Ultra Music, which say a ton on where he is at in his career.

One can hope, “Lights,” won’t be the final release that Dea Magna and KAYA work on together.

Fearless when it comes to breaking down the sonic barriers of house music, artists Jakk’d, HAWD HITTA, NoBueno, and $ON-$HINE have linked up for a brand-new track.

Put on the rising imprint SEARCHPRTY RECORDS, “CHECK THIS OUT” is a breathtaking collab that is destined for the main stage. It is an intricate fusion of each of these producers’ unique styles and musical identities.

Explaining this thrilling melting pot of sound, NoBueno says, “Jakk’d came with the bounce, HAWD HITTA the groove, $on-$hine with the trumpet enhancements, and I was excited to bring the grittiness.” Boasting a percussion-heavy bassline, “CHECK THIS OUT” also intertwines hair-raising vocal samples. Between these elements and the chilling effects, this banger is packed with lively buildups and hypnotic drops.

CHECK THIS OUT” previews an exciting 2023 ahead for this innovative crew. They plan on joining HAWD HITTA for upcoming shows on his US cross-country tour while having a bunch of mesmerizing IDs in the works.

Check out the full interview below!

Which artists did each of you look up to as role models before launching your own careers and why?

Jakk’d (Max): “As a kid I was very influenced by my parents, Tom Petty, Grateful Dead, Led Zeppelin, even my own tastes with Eminem, 50 Cent, etc. When I got intro’d to EDM, Skrillex was huge, KYGO even, Virtual Riot, Porter Robinson. Macy Grey, Santana and Kenny Beats would have to be my biggest inspirations though.”

Jakk’d (Vjay): “I would say Timbaland has been my biggest inspiration, he got me into producing. Also Swizz Beatz, GTA, Henry Fong. Just producers that use zany sounds in their production to create a wild production”

NoBueno: “I’m looking up to the future version of myself, Skrillex and DJ Snake are influences, as well as Knock2.”

HAWD HITTA: “I would say that I grew up listening to AC/DC, The Who, Led Zeppelin, and other bands with strong guitar, rhythm and bass lines. I only got into EDM when I started to hear Tiesto, Avicii, Swedish House Mafia towards middle school and high school”

$on-$hine: Definitely Block and Crown, Groove Armada, Tensnake, and Scruscru were artists that got me into the DJ path.
Other than the vocals, how does the name “CHECK THIS OUT” align with the song and its vibe?

NoBueno: “It’s the first song we’ve collectively put out together, and so we are referring to the collective we are a part of”

How did you create a sense of balance in “CHECK THIS OUT” that reflected each artist’s unique style?

$on-$hine: “We all had our voices heard, and we all have our unique parts that we played to make this one come together”

NoBueno: “We got the crew together and once the avengers assembled, everyone had a chance to shine.  The record lets everyone have their input in its own unique way. It’s not easy to get 5 producers to shine on a single record.” NoBueno

What are your guys favorite venues to play at in Los Angeles?

HAWD HITTA: “I’m a big fan of performing at Academy LA with Insomniac Events and their team in general, ever since I performed back with Club Glow (now a part of Insomniac) on the East coast. I also attribute my start out in LA to Keith2.0 who is a veteran in the music industry, along with Danielle Scullon; both gave me opportunities to get the HAWD HITTA project out there starting roughly 2 years ago.

NoBueno: “The Bardot at Avalon Hollywood, who gave me a shot to perform, Madame Siam and Dirty Laundry as well”

JAKK’D: It’s always fun playing Catch One, the warehouses and other venues around town, and looking forward to playing some bigger ones this fall

$on-$hine: I’m excited to perform in LA, but just going to take the time to get my project together before that first show happens.

What is a new sound or genre you’d be interested in experimenting with in the future and why?

NoBueno:
“I’m not sure I can name another electronic producer that has their vocals over their tracks the way I do, and I’m excited to release some of that soon”

HAWD HITTA: “Dubstep! Only kidding of course, but I think that it would be cool to try out some of the funk house side of the overall dance genre with $on-$hine in the near future.”

JAKK’D: We never really want to limit ourselves when it comes to our songs and are trying to keep the quality standard very high from here on out.
$on-$hine: I’m focused on releasing my singles around the funk house genre but open to being a feature on other tracks that are non-funk house if I want to go that route.

Angelyna Rose employs AI to recreate Grande’s vocals in her rendition of Tiësto’s “10:35”

The use of AI in music is advancing rapidly, and the creation of AI-generated vocals is just one example. Angelyna Rose used AI technology to create a song called “10:35 (Grande Remake),” which has vocals that sound like Ariana Grande. This is impressive because AI can now mimic human voices very accurately. However, there are concerns about using celebrity voices without their permission.

Some people think AI vocals are an exciting new way to create music, while others think it’s unfair to use famous people’s voices without their consent. They worry that using AI to create music might make it harder for real artists to stand out and get noticed.

As the use of AI in music becomes more widespread, streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music will need to decide how to handle AI-generated content. Should AI-generated songs be treated differently from those created by human artists? Would it be better to limit the number of AI-generated songs that are available to the public?

The music industry must carefully consider these legal and ethical questions while continuing to explore the potential of AI-generated vocals. It is essential to find a way to use AI technology while respecting the rights of artists and protecting original works.

By doing so, we can make sure that AI is used to enhance the creative process in music, rather than to undermine it. Angelyna Rose has many other winning singles beyond this one, if you like what you hear go back to her profile and check out more of what she’s made.
