Rudimental mark 10 years of classic album “Home” with anniversary album

Rudimental

10 years on from the release of their seminal album Home, UK dance royalty Rudimental are marking the occasion with a special 10th anniversary edition of the classic LP, released now both digitally and on limited edition gold vinyl.

Home (10th Anniversary Edition) includes an EP’s worth of specially commissioned new remixes. In addition to Bristol drum & bass titan Clipz’s previously released searing drum & bass reboot of ‘More Than Anything’, further remixes come from the likes of Special Request, Interplanetary Criminal, CERCA and Chris Stussy.

More than earning its reputation as a seminal dance album, Home has gone 2x platinum, peaked at #1 on the UK Official Album Chart, and received over 1.3 billion streams worldwide. It won Best Album at 2013 MOBO Awards and was nominated for the 2013 Mercury Prize and for British Album of the Year at the 2014 BRIT Awards, and ushered in a new generation of young artists who have since risen to fame, including John Newman, Becky Hill, MNEK, Emeli Sandé and many more.

Highlights from the album include #1 single ‘Waiting All Night’, which went 3x platinum, has been streamed over 537 million times globally, and won British Single of the Year at the BRITs, and ‘Feel The Love’ feat. John Newman, which debuted at #1 on the UK singles chart, went 2x platinum and has had over 365 million streams worldwide.

As one of the UK’s most successful dance acts of the last decade Rudimental have set the bar high. Multiple chart entries, 2 #1 albums, 3 #1 singles, 5.7 billion streams, 4 albums, world tours, platinum-selling singles plus a plethora of awards have cemented their position as trailblazers with a formidable reputation for producing hit records.

It’s been 10 years since the band first broke through and, after taking a step back recently, they’re heralding a fresh phase with renewed vigour and focus. Now signed to RoomTwo (a sub-division of Columbia Records), Rudimental have returned to their roots, tapping into the original energy that launched them into the limelight back in 2012.

Primed for a spectacular return to the stage, and equipped with new material that evokes that authentic Rudimental feeling, the band are ready to let loose once again.

Marten Hørger unleashes his groovy house heater ‘Get Real High’ on Tomorrowland Music

Germany’s bass house master Marten Hørger is unleashing his groovy vocal house heater ‘Get Real High’, released through Tomorrowland Music!

In collaboration with UK based hit writer & producer Shift K3Y, Hørger has crafted an upbeat and infectious house track featuring a thumping bassline, catchy chords, and powerful vocals.

The result is an anthemic and uplifting house record that is sure to get listeners moving, an irresistible sound with relentless bass equipped for the dancefloor. Marten Hørger is keeping his foot on the gas with his brand-new single, following his recent collaboration with David Guetta.

Here’s what Marten Hørger had to say about the release: “So happy that Lewis and I finally jumped on a track together – and even happier that it turned out to be an absolute banger! This has been my secret weapon for club & festival stages around the world, and now it’s finally out! Can’t wait to play this all over summer.”

Shift K3Y adds: “Working with Marten has always been a big goal of mine. We met at a festival in Houston the end of summer last year and he played directly after me. Both of us had spoken about doing a song together so I sent over a rough idea that I had been road testing.

He instantly said he loved it and asked if we could work on it. He changed and added a load of new elements which he felt made it more appropriate for his sets and started playing it out. Fast forward to now and the song is finally here!”

Honey Dijon delivers the official music video for ‘Stand’

Following the release of the critically acclaimed LP ‘Black Girl Magic’ and a GRAMMY win for her writing contributions for Beyonce’s ‘Renaissance’, Honey Dijon delivers the official video for an exclusive version of one of her album tracks ‘Stand’. Featuring LA-based vocalist and songwriter Cor.Ece, who directs and stars in the video, the viewer follows a group of dancers around Puerto Rico, from industrial landscapes to open-top car trips around the city.

Smoldering and poetic, the record bears influence of the house anthems of Honey‘s youth from artists such as Lil Louis and Danny Tenaglia, while lyrically embodying protest, as Honey told the New York Times: “It’s about standing up for your belief system.”

“‘Stand’ is a story about being down, but not staying down; about the capacity to sink and float, yet floating despite the many reasons to sink. We wanted to turn the powerful protest dance track into a visual symbol of hope and beauty.

I’ve witnessed people sing and dance and lose themselves to the song. It’s the kind of stuff ‘I Will Survive’ is made out of, except it’s a collective ask for people to not only stand up for each other, for themselves, and for this planet, but also a plea to allow ourselves to feel what we need to feel.”Cor.Ece

Made as part of the YouTube Black Voices Fund, created in 2020 to acquire and produce YouTube Originals programming focused on the Black experience, and to directly support Black creators, artists, and songwriters/producers, ‘Stand’ will be the first of three videos created by Honey and Cor.Ece for the program.

Woo York join Watergate Records with stunning debut EP ‘Samum’

Culminating numerous striking appearances at Berlin’s renowned Watergate, Ukrainian duo Woo York join the label with a stunning debut release: ‘Samum EP’. Their watertight reputation for crafting wondrous compositions reverberates emphatically in this powerful record, which highlights their zest for innovation and experimentation.

Woo York‘s Watergate Records debut maiden offering is mesmerizing. The team’s creative collision flared when they decided to experiment with authentic sounds to convey one-of-a-kind sensations to their crowds. The title track begins as a chugging key-laden cut before a stirring folky melody rises to the fore with beautiful intent.

Replacing the synthetic with the raw, the duo utilizes the expressive Irish bagpipes to bring an almost housey note to the mix. The irresistible harmonies of electronic and instrumental notes overlaying a driving kick fuse seamlessly to create an atmospheric yet club-ready single.

Woo York Samum

The second track, named after the Prophet 12 synthesizer used for its production, is another attestation to their ardor for novelty. Characterized by unusual rhythmic sparks of elemental beats, hauntingly captivating vocals, and an entrancingly emotional synthline, this composition spotlights a peculiar sonic texture unique to the duo’s melodic signature. ‘Prophet‘ has already been seen performed live by the artists at the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone for the Sounds of Chernobyl project, complemented by a noteworthy 3D alternate reality of the city.

“We love to experiment with our sound, because we always want to offer the listener something new,” the pair states. “We’re always excited to see the crowd’s reaction, it’s great when we can surprise them.”

Accompanying the package are two powerful remixes of ‘Samum‘. The first is an emblematic take by fellow Ukrainian producer and live act, 8Kays, who maintains the track’s essence while adding her trademark somber touch, with spellbinding dark refrains and aerial allusions, underlining her crowd-control expertise.

Concurrently, Greek artist Echonomist designs a rich and multi-faceted reinterpretation of the piece, customizing it with enticing percussion and mellisonant sirens that render it an ideal fit for the dance floor.

Peletronic unveils his long-anticipated EP ‘Honey Badger’

Super-talented DJ and producer Peletronic unveils his long-anticipated EP ‘Honey Badger’, just for your listening pleasure!

Riddim & Bassline” are the main ingredients for the opener of his „Honey Badger EP“. A rumbling, buzzing and funk loaden predator digs his way into our ear canal. „Sry I’m dazed AF” – words we’d sometimes like to address our supervisor with, especially after a serious weekend night out. A grating, distorted Miami Bass variant on a Deep House bouquet that lives up to his title.

True Brew” also starts wonderfully imperfectly. Blustering beats and scruffy hi hats are being perfectly paired with a piano harmony. Bring us another two or twenty of this special drink!

Last but not least we got a remix by none other than DMX Krew, who provides a bubbly finish to „Riddim & Bassline“. There is not much left to say, cos if you got Ed DMX on your record, really everything has been said.

ARTBAT deliver stunning remix of Kölsch ‘All That Matters’

Ukrainian duo ARTBAT continue their excellent remix output with their new rework of Danish genius Kölsch‘s collaboration with Troels Abrahamsen, ‘All That Matters’. It follows on from their superb remixes of Monolink’s ‘Return To Oz’ and Royksöpp’s classic ‘What Else Is There?’, collaborations with CamelPhat, Idris Elba and David Guetta and multiple Beatport #1s.

Reworking the track in their sensual style that fuses the gentler side of techno with the experimentalism of electronica, they have been careful to give Abrahamsen‘s impassioned vocal plenty of space to breathe within their arrangement.

It truly soars in the breakdown, taking centre stage with little else to distract your from its beauty and tense, dramatic build that euphorically explodes at the drop. Triumphant melody arrives to lift your spirits further, and an even more emotive second breakdown gets the goosebumps raised to their fullest.

Here’s what the duo had to say about the remix:

“When we first heard the record we were blown away by the vocals and lyrics” they say on how the remix came together. “We wanted to give this record our personal touch that comes from our soul and heart. A feeling deep inside, that sets free emotions and gives you a completely new experience of joy. We wanted to combine the emotional deep vocals, with the expressive melody that comes on the drop, making it very uplifting.”

The duo takes their UPPERGROUND brand to the legendary Printworks London this April 22nd as part of the venue’s closing month, a series of Ibiza shows throughout the summer which will include David Guetta‘s Future Rave party at Hi Ibiza, in addition to a tour of Brazil for the Só Track Boa Festival in three major cities, and EDC Las Vegas in May.

ARTBAT are in increasingly high demand across the world. They have played standout sets at mega-events like Awakenings in the Netherlands, Fusion Festival in Germany, Warung Beach Club in Brazil, EDC in the US and Asia, Tomorrowland, and DGTL in Amsterdam and Santiago and are continually one of the biggest draws in the melodic techno scene.
