Time Warp announces the return of the ‘Two Days | Two Stages’ concept

Time Warp festival

Time Warp is to host a second edition of their superb, compacted, but just as potent, “Two Days, Two Stages” concept this October.

It will be a full experience with the likes of Amelie Lens, Denis Sulta, Loco Dice, Peggy Gou, Maceo Plex, Sven Väth, Pan-Pot, VTSS, Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, Dax J, Paula Temple, Hector Oaks, Kobosil, Perel, Peggy Gou and many more.

Time Warp has bounced back in spectacular fashion after the pandemic with a sold out and hugely successful event in São Paulo in May where over 30,000 visitors soaked up world class sounds. It was the third edition and the first large-scale Time Warp show since the pandemic started. The same weekend saw a two-day Time Warp debut in Santiago de Chile with over 15,000 visitors getting the Time Warp experience. Now the full focus is on these two special days in autumn in Mannheim. Then all roads point to the much-anticipated return of Time Warp to its original date and venue in April 2023 across seven floors and with 19 hours of music.

This second compact form of Time Warp in October will be bigger than last year with the addition of an extra stage. One is in the Maimarkthalle and the second is in the Maimartkclub and both have serious line-ups that offer young and fresh talents, plenty of Time Warp debuts and lots of international heavyweights.

On Day One, all aspects of techno are covered by the red hot talent Amelie Lens, party starter Denis Sulta, debutant and techno craftsman Enrico Sangiuliano, the ever-evolving Italian Joseph Capriati, Desolations boss Loco Dice, astral techno innovator Maceo Plex, techno titan Richie Hawtin, plus a live set from acid techno lover Reinier Zonneveld and more from PAN-POT, plus debuts from Perel, and Sama’ Abdulhadi.

Day Two offers just as much depth and quality with Drumcode’s Adam Beyer, the arresting Paula Temple, Cocoon legend Sven Väth, breakout sensation Peggy Gou, and rave-techno specialist Héctor Oaks, Kobosil, global tastemaker Solomun and Kompakt’s leading associate Kölsch plus plenty of thrilling sounds from Dax J, KAS:ST, MARRØN and VTSS.

These two days promise to offer a different kind of Time Warp experience, but one that is just as unique and packed with the most cutting-edge names in underground music.

AIRBEAT ONE Festival announces multi-platinum superstars Kygo and Marshmello as headliners

From 6 to 10 July 2022, the Neustadt-Glewe airfield will once again be transformed into an enormous festival village. As many as 65,000 people are expected to be in attendance per day at the AIRBEAT ONE Festival, they will all be treated to an incredible display of DJ musical superstars across six stages. More than 300 artists are on the unbelievable lineup of Northern Germany’s biggest electronic music festival, with many of them playing exclusively at AIRBEAT ONE this year, and nowhere else in Germany.

One of the headliners KYGO is playing exclusively at AIRBEAT ONE for the first time, and the 65,000 fans in attendance can party along to his smash hits such as „Firestone“, „Stole The Show“, „It Ain’t Me“, „Stargazing“, „Higher Love“ and „What’s Love Got To Do With It“. This year’s amazing lineup including superstar KYGO means AIRBEAT ONE 2022 is unmissable.

The Norwegian Tropical House superstar will not only be mixing on the turntables in Neustadt-Glewe for the first time but is also doing so exclusively in Germany. He’s not set to appear at any other festival in Germany for the rest of the year. KYGO will be in Neustadt-Glewe on Friday, July 08. So if you want the chance to experience the Norwegian superstar’s exclusive German performance this year, the only way to do so is by purchasing a ticket for AIRBEAT ONE 2022.

If a lineup including superstar DJ KYGO isn’t enough, then how about the announcement of superstar DJ MARSHMELLO. Known for record-breaking hits “Alone”, “Silence”, “Wolves”, “Friends” and “Happier” amongst plenty others, is set to perform at this year’s AIRBEAT ONE Festival.

Much like KYGO, the only place to party with MARSHMELLO in Germany is at this year’s AIRBEAT ONE Festival. The man notorious for DJing while wearing a mask in the shape of a marshmallow and smiley face has performed previously at the Neustadt-Glewe airfield in 2018, completely owning the Main Stage of the festival, he brought the house down with his fantastic brand of upbeat party anthems.

If his 2018 set is anything to go by, the 65,000-person crowd in attendance is in for one hell of a party this July. After two years of a Covid enforced break. Marshmello is primed and ready to create history at the Airbeat One Festival on Thursday, July 7th. And the only way you can take part in Marshmello’s unmissable main stage party is by purchasing a ticket for AIRBEAT ONE 2022.

If that’s not enough, then how about the news that legendary electronic supergroup 3 ARE LEGEND, consisting of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Steve Aoki, will celebrate their only festival gig in Germany in 2022 at AIRBEAT ONE. The trio will take to the main stage on Friday, July 7, and are certain to shake to the core the foundations of this year’s incredible electronic music event.

In addition to these unbeatable artist exclusives, AIRBEAT ONE Festival has also signed two exclusive German festival partnerships for 2022. The world’s leading hardstyle label Q-dance will only be playing at AIRBEAT ONE this year, and will completely take over the program for the Gladiator Stage. The Dutch hard-dance experts will be accompanied by legends of the harder sound, including Angerfist, Brennan Heart, Headhunterz, Miss K8, Warface, Wildstylez, Zatox, and many more.

Europe’s most exciting and colorful party label has also been signed exclusively to play at AIRBEAT ONE Festival this upcoming season. The one and only: elrow! The Spanish music and entertainment brand originally from Barcelona, famous (and infamous) for its ocean of colorful visuals, will exclusively host the new Arena Stage on both Friday and Saturday. Specializing in its unique brand of techno and house, the iconic party pioneers are promising to bring DJ greats such as Charlotte de Witte, Camelphat, Claptone, Fisher, Kölsch, and Paul Kalkbrenner to Neustadt-Glewe.

For the 19th edition of the AIRBEAT ONE Festival, the colors and gigantic pyro show will be shining as green, white, and red, because this year’s theme is “Italy”. Day tickets for AIRBEAT ONE Festival are available from 79.99 euros plus fees. Festival tickets are available from 129.99 euros plus fees at the link.

Sylvan Paul Bluesy Alt-Dance Vibe In ‘Back To You’ Signs To Wolf + Lamb Records

“Back To You,” represents a collision of genres all happening at once and all happening in a highly creative manner, thanks to the talents of Sylvan Paul. Blues, alternative, and a splash of latin flavor fuels the soul of “Back To You,” which is built on a structure of electronic and dance.

The single comes complete with a relatable story channeled through the lyrics – the messaging focused on the human temptation to reinvigorate old flames even though, chances are, the outcome of the choice will inevitably lead to a crash and burn.

The chill vibe does not undercut the well-crafted aspects going on in every corner of this single. The instrumentation, the songwriting, the theme, the story, all of it is rich and all of it works in harmony to render an experience that stands out with its generous, all original design. One of several easy-to-highlight aspects is it’s well-articulated blend of live instrumentation and electronic incorporations, not leaning too much in one direction or the other.

Boasting songs on his streaming platforms going back to 2020, Sylvan Paul has accomplished much in a short period of time. From the support of press outlets like Dancing Astronaut to the accumulation of over 250,000+ streams across about a dozen singles, all signs are pointing to there being a demand for the style this solo multi-instrumentalist musician is making.

Kay Wilder unveils his brand new track ‘Operator’

Kay Wilder is behind the wheel as the ‘Operator’, a trance power up mixing up the light and dark.

Equal importance is given to gnashing synths out for blood and soothing dream sequence intermissions, with the Amsterdam producer ultimately providing a pixellated melodiousness answering the call for a superhero to enter the arena, swooping in on a mission with a merciless swagger before declaring the dancefloor safe under his authority. A journey as much about the rough ride as the expanding of your mind.

Super-talented DJs and producers AINT & Strobe now have Cuban cool to go with their starring role as the ‘Kids of NYC’; they’ve another hot one on their hands with the tinkling pianos and schoolyard chants that sound out the ‘Streets of Havana’.

Crest of a wave block party house served neat and simple, it’s a perfect follow-up of Latin charisma, getting local residents to throw their windows wide open, and turning out-of-towners on to a good time.

The end product creates an enticing image of both following the buzz in a congregation of colour and joy.

Yotto announces ambient studio album “Erased Dreams”

Erased Dreams is the first full-length, low-tempo project from Yotto. The Helsinki-based artist is well-known for his thunderous DJ sets and deep, bass-heavy house productions, but with Erased Dreams, Yotto reveals another side to himself.

The 8-track ambient album, released on Anjunadeep’s new sister label Reflections, may seem like a departure from Yotto’s usual style, but he’s always made music like this. With Reflections, he finally found a home for it.

Throughout his sparkling career, which includes a Billboard #1 LP and official remixes for artists like Joris Voorn, Gorillaz, and Coldplay, Yotto has produced ambient tracks to help him look inward and recharge his creative battery. But when COVID hit, his inner world took over.

At first, I was being really productive with club music,Yotto says, speaking from his home in Helsinki. “But then after a while, I started making something completely opposite.” Yotto found himself exploring a different form of expression, and didn’t have a plan other than to create. But when he put the tracks side-by-side in a playlist he recognized a synergy, and the outline of the project began to take shape.

The result is more of a continuous soundscape than an album; an ethereal and dreamy experience designed to accompany the listener as they turn inward and drift away. If club music is a form of escape, then this is too – but instead of turning outward, we lose ourselves inward.

The structure was inspired by The KLF’s 1990 album Chill Out – a concept album written as a sonic journal to document the band’s road trip across America. Yotto says Erased Dreams is structured like a journal, too, and acts as a documentation of his inner workings and sentiments during the lockdown. So it makes sense that an over-arching theme is one of repetition and continuity. “I bought a guitar, which I had no idea how to play,” Yotto says. “So I started messing around with pedals and stuff, trying to see how far I can stretch one sound, so a lot of the album comes from me trying to make endless sounds from different sources.”

This is certainly true of the first single, “Silhouette,” released on June 13th. It’s a melancholy, atmospheric track with hints of ‘80s nostalgia and vocals from Sansa that are smooth as glass. The track conjures up images of vast and endless landscapes; the sense of space is enhanced by sparse chord changes and field recordings of heavy rain. “Silhouette” is so human it feels like an extension of emotion, and Yotto says the idea came to him like a dream. A sound drifted towards him one day and he caught it by the tail and built on top of it until it became the entity he envisioned. “I think the beauty lies in the simplicity of it,Yotto says. “It’s slow and steady and it grows.

Club music will always be at the core of Yotto’s work, but his ambient catalog will no longer sit in the shadows. Together, these parallel forms of expression don’t dilute Yotto’s artistry; they make it even stronger.

Erased Dreams” is released on Reflections on July 11.

Guy Gerber announces full lineup for his weekly residency “Mirror Game” at Ibiza’s Club Chinois

Guy Gerber

This summer, Guy Gerber debuts his weekly residency, Mirror Game, at newly launched Club Chinois in Ibiza each Sunday. Centered around the power of the mirror, this weekly party series will take place from June 19 to October 9, and take attendees through the looking glass into the outsized imagination of Guy Gerber.

Contradiction and duality have been central to the internationally acclaimed DJ’s career since its inception, and he, like many artists, has struggled with the tension between aspiration and reality, something the mirror exposes. Mirror Game continues Gerber‘s eschewing of the easy path, the next chapter in an Ibiza story that includes his provocative Wisdom of The Glove residency, which appeared in the New York Times and featured a $150k glove, and was followed by Rumors, a free, feet-in-the-sand party with only unannounced sets. In each instance Gerber sought to bring something different to the island, to embrace its contrarian roots and capture the mystique and freedom that captivated him on his very first trip to the White Island.

Inspired by Anish Kupor and James Turrell, Mirror Game is a deeply personal project for Gerber, who developed both the creative direction and artwork himself as well as handling all the bookings. It’s a human project, with production reliant on hand-made physical art rather than just the technological.

Mirrors, while elemental and earthly, are capable of transporting us into other worlds, as one of the most powerful and visual tools we have at our disposal, it is also one of our most ancient. Every week attendees will enter into a room full of mirrors; tinted, distorted, ancient and new, these mirrors will reflect our pain, pleasure, beauty and flaws, serving up a rogue’s gallery of reflections to find and lose yourself in.

Hidden inside this hall of mirrors will be a very special room that allows you to pass through the reflection. Mirror Game members or token holders will step beyond the party, having access to curated digital art pieces, an ownership stake in a Gerber track and even a stake in the party itself. Will you come inside?

Full Line Up:

Rich Furniss Makes His Debut On HouseU Records With ‘All My Love (ft. Andrew Charles)’

“All My Love,” could be Rich Furniss’ strongest release to date. Instantly sending shivers down the spine with reverberating basslines and euphoric design of classic and modern house elements, “All My Love,” displays steadyfast innovation considering the house music format at hand. The vocal work of Andrew Charles ascends the atmosphere from good to great, driving a sense of power and poise that couldn’t have quite been captured otherwise.

The single caught the eye of renowned and established label HouseU Records, who have promptly signed it for release. This marks Furniss’ debut on the label, a component that is a repeating theme for Rich Furniss as of late.

All within the timeline of 2022, he debuted on labels Quincy Boy Records, Global305, In It Together Records, and now HouseU Records. The credits point toward an artist who works as hard as he does smart, with the soloist recapping the fruits of his labor. On top of this, he’s scored over 250,000 streams across all DSPs, in just under a year.

With support from outlets like YourEDM, Dancing Astronaut, FuxWithIt, and dozens of others notables press spots, Rich Furniss has scored major wins in a well-rounded way in just a short amount of time.
