With their unique mixture of retro funk-soul and energetic tech house, PRBLM CHILD has gotten off to a hot start in 2023. Made up of fellow producers, Luke Corkran and Cole Kesselman, this duo is following up their 2022 October hit, “Cheeky 1”, with their new single “Sleep Talk”.
Overflowing with intricate layers of percussion and spicy vocals, this house heater instantly makes listeners want to bust a move. At certain points in the track, ecstatic highs and chorus lines ring out, while sedate lows echo out during the bridge.
The combination of these different moods take the audience of “Sleep Talk” on a rollercoaster ride of emotion.
Fueled by their desire to represent the future of sound design in regard to house music, PRBLM CHILD is dedicated to usher in a new era for the genre. Incorporating a variety of thumping and crisp drums in their original works, PRBLM CHILD never fails to craft a club-ready bassline.
It is this skill set that has allowed the pair to drop tracks on prestigious labels like Uprise, Bite This!, and Gold Digger. These achievements are joined by features on the radio shows of Freejak, R3HAB, and Dr. Fresch.
Their inspiriting on-stage presence has also led to a memorable performance slot at Das Energi 2022. Be on the lookout for PRBLM CHILD as they continue to deliver groovy anthems like “Sleep Talk” for the remainder of 2023.
Born and bred in Croatia, San Pacho has spent the last few years ascending to the top of the tech house scene. Many of his followers are drawn to the melting pot of Latin vocals, heavily percussive basslines, and an overall refined sound that San Pacho has cultivated.
Launching his project in 2019, San Pacho went viral in 2021 when he and Croatian house legend Matroda dropped their iconic single, “La Pasion“.
Since this Beatport chart-topping hit, San Pacho has put on banger after banger, such as “Amor” and his monumental “As Long As We Have House” EP.
San Pacho OYE
However, San Pacho is much more than a gifted producer. His contagious energy on-stage and suave mixing abilities has resulted in his debut tour across North America. San Pacho closed out 2022 with memorable debuts at EDC Orlando, Exchange LA, Marquee in Vegas, and other prime venues.
Now, San Pacho is kicking off 2023 with his riveting new single, “OYE“. Sharing his thoughts on the track, he says:
“Get ready to be transported to the dance floor with my new single ‘OYE’, a nostalgic Latin influenced tech house track. The retro-infused beats and sultry vocals will have you feeling nostalgically charged and ready to move to the rhythm. Let this track take you on a journey through the past and into the present with its unique blend of Latin influence and modern production.”
Between the thumping bassline and eccentric Latin lyrics, “OYE” pays homage to N.O.R.E‘s “Oye Mi Canto“, released in 2006. This dance floor heater is a perfect sneak preview for the second half of San Pacho‘s North American tour.

Mandy: “Doing a recording for such a special digital production is still something else. Like everything Tomorrowland does, they aim for the best result possible. The amount of detail in this digital world is insane and hopefully it gives people from all ages, all over the world, an impression on how the real Tomorrowland events are.
It’s insane to see all the crew and equipment behind the scenes which are needed to create this special digital edition of Tomorrowland. During the recording, I played a test version of my new single ‘UNDRGRND’ which will be released the first week of February. I’m curious if the people notice the changes that have been made in the final version.”
Amber Broos: “It is the first time that I participated in such a large-scale professional production as ‘Adscendo’. I already got a sneak peek of the visual effects projected on the backdrop and they really look breathtaking. The decor and visuals are bringing an extra dimension to my set.
It’s a fun way for the music scene to meet each other in between of live interactions. I made a mix of new and classic dance tracks, a combination of my favorite music, so that the audience can get a taste of what I usually bring on stage.”

DJing isn’t easy. While many people make cracks about ‘standing on stage with a laptop,’ as with any artistic career, a DJ has to be smart, know their craft and market, and be willing to put in the hustle. While there’s a ton to be said on the topic, today we take a brief look at some of the basics of making music as a DJ- and what you should know if you’re planning to make it a career.
The Musical Basics
While DJs effectively ‘recycle’ existing digital music clips and royalty-free music into brand new remixes and even unique songs, that doesn’t mean you can have a tin ear! Sound design, music theory, composition, tempo and more will be needed to successfully mix and master a great song. Of course, some people are naturally gifted in this area, and there’s a wealth of tutorials and other help online and in-person you can leverage.
This knowledge is what will help the aspiring DJ assemble their music from the wealth of samples, beats, and other musical items out there.
DAWs
The DAW, or Digital Audio Workstation, is the heartbeat of the DJs workday. This is the software (and accompanying hardware) you will use to layer and create sounds, add effects, blend, mix, and master your music.
There’s a wealth of DAW options available to the aspiring DJ, from entry-level setups through to the very top in audio production, and each is a little different. Mostly it’s a case of budget and personal preference, as well as the intuitiveness of the system, as to what you pick.
Getting to know the ins-and-outs of your chosen DAW will be a key part of making music as a DJ.
Choosing an Angle
DJ is a very varied role. Most DJs start making music by re-editing existing songs to play as part of their sets, complete with their own personal style. However, you needn’t stop there. As DJs get to be well known and respected, they may be asked to collaborate with other artists, both famous and starting out in their careers.
For some DJs, original production is the end goal. This means starting from scratch, working with sound archives and artists to create a brand new composition, and possibly producing other artists and their music.
Knowing which creative angle you want to take as a DJ is important, so you can start from the ground up with your final focus in mind.
Tips for Creating Music as a DJ
With these tools to help you physically make your music, you will also need the support to help build your name and profile. Even one hit can help rocket a career- but you need to get that hit track to start with. As with many businesses today, building an online following of fans with smart and responsive marketing will also be a key component of making music as a DJ. You can also use gigs and sets you are booked for to boost your profile and get your name known.
You will need a good attitude, however. As an aspiring DJ, you will be working with any number of people- from roadies to venue coordinators- who could help you build your reputation, so avoiding diva-like behavior and rudeness is critical from Day 1. You never know what bridges one snapped word or haughty attitude could burn. Networking and marketing are as important to making music as a DJ as the physical skills.
A career as a DJ can be a satisfying one, and it all starts with knowing how DJs make music!
