Derun unveil their brand new ‘Kaunos’ EP including Pophop and Lannka remixes

Border-crossing, immersive, warm, dreamy, wide, open and spacious. Good descriptions for the sound of Derun, yet there’s one word that really hits the mark: Human.

On their Kaunos EP the duo invites us to live and create a new world culture that exists without any questions of origin or destiny, of achievement or aspiration. To let go and to surrender to the lively play of the groove means to leave behind the paradigms of everyday life and to spontaneously connect on a much more universal level.

Stylistic accentuations and harmonic contrasts within this rich experience can be found in the remixes of Pophop and Lannka, who give the narrative of the original tracks two mind-bending new spins.

Pophop is right in his element when cruising through the sound waves of that endless ocean named music, always in search of new melodies. The haul he brings to his home port -the artist collective 3000Grad from Germany- afterwards, is an eclectic mixture of East European folklore, dubby grooves, tropical happiness, and multicoloured electronic sound pearls.

Using these precious treasures, the bearded vagabond lures the dance floor out of the grey mist of everyday life, takes his listeners on an exciting adventure trip full of daring love for life.

Deorbiting unveil their brand new EP ‘Veil’ including Oliver Koletzki remix

Volume two taken from Deorbiting’s latest long-player “Space House”, here comes “Veil” EP, featuring two cuts from the album plus an exclusive rework from SVT bossman himself, Oliver Koletzki.

A low-slung downtempo ballad into serene mental scapes and vast expanses of sound, “Veil ” will tickle the fancy of all those in search for meditation both on and off the dance floor with its adaptative groove, at ease both in club context and home alone, whether the sun shines bright outside or when you want that sensitive touch of Deorbiting sending you into the zone effortlessly.

In the hands of Oliver Koletzki, “Veil” finds itself endowed with the impact of a bullet. Take the original’s infectious melody, add a bodybuilded bass, crank the tempo up a notch – or two, a few tweakings to the synths here and there, Koletzki‘s mystique-imbued vision and you got a tune that’s just a proper festival smasher.

Merging vocodized lines a la Space Art with a sturdy yet flexile bass lead to rally all down the closest club, Das Kosmische Ballett is a cosmic whirlwind of the finest ilk, primed for big-room communion and gravity-free boogie, no matter you’re on planet Earth having a blast with your friends or drifting in your spaceship from one system to the other in search for an unknown source of life.
