AVIRA & Grace Ackerman deliver new version of ‘Run To You’

Following the release of the emotionally charged Unplugged Mix two weeks ago, AVIRA and Grace Ackerman have released the original version of their collab called ‘Run To You’.

Sporting a clubbier feel than its chill-soaked counterpart, this new version underlines the song’s love-laden message in a way that will resonate strongly with listeners across the dance music space, as will the music video that’s being released alongside it.

“‘Run To You’ is probably the most true-to-the-heart record I’ve ever worked on”, AVIRA explains.

“Music is a weird and fluid thing for me as an artist. When the flow is right, something happens that lets us send a crystal clear message to the audience detailing how we feel and what we want to tell them. That’s how I feel about ‘Run To You’; Grace truly captured the essence of love for me.”

Tale Of Us unveil the second volume of their epic compilation series, ‘Unity’

Continuing their mission to cultivate optimism during these difficult times due to COVID-19 outbreak, Italian DJ and producer duo Tale Of Us and their well-recognized record label, Afterlife have released the second volume of their epic compilation series, ‘Unity’.

After the very successful first edition back in April 2020, ‘Unity Pt. 2‘ maintains the same premise, gathering together a collection of 25 stunning tracks designed just for your listening pleasure to transport you into another realm.

A new era of Flux Pavilion is here with the release of his brand new album ‘.wav’

The new era of Flux Pavilion is officially here. After celebrating a decade at the forefront of bass music along with Circus Records, it’s time for the artist to take another step forward into fresh and exciting terrain.

‘.wav’ showcases Flux Pavilion in his element with this melodic, synth, and electric guitar-driven 16-track masterpiece. The artist has evolved and grown throughout the years while maintaining his trailblazing and innovative spirit. With an array of modular synths, he’s taken the analog route for this release.

Bringing his album live performance show to the world for the very first time, with guitar, synth and singing, fans can enjoy the Flux Pavilion .wav album launch livestream on February 5th and 6th (depending on location) in partnership with Moment House. The livestream will be broadcast to North and South America, Asia Pacific, and the UK & Europe, and include a full visual show, as well as the fan submitted audio clips from the “Flux Needs Your Wav” website.

His fanbase has remained dedicated throughout the years, responding to a call to arms on Twitter where the producer used their submitted samples to craft the track ‘Twitterbird‘, one of the seven previously unreleased tracks on this studio album. Back in April, he revealed the process behind this transformation in his online series ‘From The Lab ‘ streamed on YouTube and Twitch.

What So Not and Feed Me bring their unique sounds to the album for ‘20:25’ featuring Chain Gang of 1974 and ‘Survive’ featuring meesh, respectively. The combination of Flux Pavilion’s new style with heavyweights like these is a gift to any electronic music fan. These are by no means the only collabs on the project, he also teamed up with the likes of Chime, GLNNA, Drowsy, and Layna amongst others ensuring a dynamic and diverse range of tracks.

‘.wav’ sees the musician show that he is fully at home in brand new territory. Taking on a new challenge has never been something Flux has shied away from and this project proves that.

Fatima Hajji deliver her powerhouse 2-track Liberty EP

Continuing to lead the way for some of Europe’s harder tarmacked techno music, Spanish DJ/producer and label owner, Fatima Hajji has her eyes set on becoming one the genre’s most fearless and revered icons.

Despite 2020’s unprecedented circumstances, the year proved to be a hot streak for the hard-working Spaniard. Having put out a successful string of standalone releases on acclaimed imprints such as Octopus Recordings, Odd Recordings, Autektone Records and Dolma Records, Hajji has wasted little time to resurface with her new Liberty EP showing no sign of halting her unstoppable run of form.

Reuniting her working relationship with Ukraine’s influential export Spartaque, this new pounding two-track project and will be released via his illustrious IAMT label.

With tough, brutish percussion, the EP kicks things off with ‘Aslam King‘s’ commanding pace and fanfare of stabbing synthesisers. Supported by the track’s punishing 4/4 beat, Hajji‘s direct approach and weighty production style stamps her ruthless, no nonsense attitude to dance music.

The title-track, ‘Liberty‘ follows in similar footsteps, this time building from the back and evolving into dramatic, chasmic effects that swirl and intensify behind the powerful low-end frequencies.

Armin van Buuren makes history with the 1000th episode of his ASOT radio show

Trance music legend Armin van Buuren reaches over fifty million fans with historic 1000th episode of A State Of Trance radio show and countdown stream.

Few artists get to truly make history, but Armin van Buuren has done just that with the broadcast of the 1000th episode of his A State Of Trance radio show. During the historic, five-hour-long episode, which reached over 50 million fans from 121 different countries together with the seven-day-long countdown stream, the five-time DJ in the world launched the official anthem for ASOT 1000 (reach divided over 100 radio stations, YouTube, Twitch, Facebook and VK livestreams).

He also unveiled the top 50 of the fan-voted ASOT Top 1000 and even revealed his plans for a full-blown ASOT 1000 weekend taking place in September this year, all throughout a special, five-hour-long milestone episode fans will remember for a long time to come.

With a nod of acknowledgement to the previous ASOT anthems, Armin van Buuren‘s official hymn for ASOT 1000 echoes the all-encompassing message that has been at the heart of A State Of Trance from the off. From the mesmerizing piano tones in the heart-stirring breakdown to the gated synths and melodies that radiate nothing but pure and uplifting emotion, this record does exactly what Armin van Buuren envisioned since he started with the show in 2001: to ‘Turn The World Into A Dancefloor‘.

After kicking off the milestone episode of A State Of Trance with the official anthem, Armin van Buuren also counted down from number 50 to number 1 of the A State Of Trance Top 1000, a list of the most popular ASOT-played records of all time based on the votes of the show’s fan base.

The honor of becoming number one in the A State Of Trance Top 1000 befell is Armin van Buuren‘s 2005 single ‘Shivers‘. Susana, the vocalist whose voice takes center stage on the globally beloved classic, was invited into the show to celebrate this special moment. As announced by Armin van Buuren live on the show, the one-time-only, two-show ASOT 1000 celebration weekend starts on Friday, September 3 with a show that pays tribute to twenty years of A State Of Trance.

The second show on Saturday, September 4 is a more “usual” celebration of ASOT in line with the previous milestone celebrations (ASOT 950, 900, 850, 800 etc.) and is meant to have fans looking forward to all that’s still to come for A State Of Trance.

Ben Böhmer & Tinlicker join forces for ‘Run Away’ feat. Felix Raphael

Two of Anjunadeep’s most revered artists, Germany’s Ben Böhmer and Dutch duo Tinlicker a.k.a Jordi van Achthoven and Micha Heyboer join forces for a long-overdue collaboration on ‘Run Away’.

Featuring vocals from hotly-tipped Berlin newcomer Felix Raphael, ‘Run Away’ marks the producers’ debut collaboration following a successful 12 months for both acts. 2020 saw Ben join the likes of Nina Kraviz, Maceo Plex, and Kölsch with a live performance for Cercle; taking to the skies aboard a hot air balloon above Cappadocia in Turkey and amassing over 6 million streams to date.

While Tinlicker topped the Beatport 100 chart with their rework of Robert Miles’ dance classic ‘Children’, racking up over a million streams with widespread support from BBC Radio 1, SiriusXM, Armin van Buuren, and Oliver Heldens.

ASOT 1000 Festival will take place over a Celebration Weekend

The biggest trance festival in the world, A State of Trance (ASOT), has reached a monumental milestone and is celebrating reaching 1000 episodes of the worldwide hit radio show.

The highly anticipated news about the iconic edition of the ASOT 1000 festival was announced by Armin van Buuren live on the historic 5-hour long 1000th episode of the show. The trance icon announced that the special celebration will extend to a two-show Celebration Weekend.

The one-time-only, two-show ASOT 1000 celebration weekend starts on Friday 3 September with a show that pays tribute to twenty years of A State of Trance with special guest appearances.

The second show on Saturday, 4 September is a more familiar celebration of ASOT in line with the previous milestone celebrations and will have fans looking forward to all that’s still to come for A State of Trance. The show’s theme ‘Turn the World Into a Dancefloor‘ echoes the all-encompassing message that has been at the heart of ‘A State Of Trance‘ from the very beginning.

With last year’s edition of ASOT event selling out six weeks in advance, demand for the 2021 event will prove more insatiable than ever before. Anjunabeats announce a new EP series highlighting the next generation of producers

HAILENE’s ‘Walk Through Walls’ receives a jolt of electricity with MaRLo’s remix

Last fall, HALIENE, the voice of some of the biggest tracks in dance music — from ‘Saving Light’ to ‘Rush Over Me’ to ‘Ave Maria’ — stepped out on her own and into the spotlight with her new solo single “Walk Through Walls.”

Now, the inspiring single receives a jolt of electricity with MaRLo’s peak time remix. This new interpretation transforms the original dance ballad into a peak time stormer that’s a glorious mix of trance and progressive. MaRLO’s offering follows up Markus Schulz’s remix which was released towards the end of 2020.
