Agoria announces new single ‘3 Letters’ Ft Blasé with remixes from andhim & Stereocalypse

agoria

Agoria is in the middle of a real purple patch that includes his original soundtrack for French comedy Lucky plus brand new EPs including this one on his own Sapiens label.

The long time French electronic icon also recently finished his critically acclaimed debut solo art show during Art Basel Miami at Scope, curated by Santiago Guggenheim and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. ‘3 Letters‘ is a perfectly emotive pop-dance track with catchy finger clicks and warm, summery chords complete with a pained vocal sample rising out up top.

It is a heavenly groove and one that stays long in the memory. The release features the amazing vocals of Blasé who Agoria worked with on his huge summer release last year ‘Your Not Alone

Stereocalypse is an Italian duo that has found great success on labels like Innervisions and they re-work that track into something more suited to the club, with edgy snares and a tense lead synth line that eventually explodes in cosmic fashion to take you on a real trip.

Enduring German house specialists andhim then step up with an S Computer Love Mix that flips the track into something futuristic and spaced out, with far-sighted pads and pixelated melodies lighting up the whole track with real colour. An Instrumental is also included and strips out the vocal for a more direct impact. This is another standout single from this long time French wizard.

Oliver Heldens debuts on Mark Knight’s Toolroom Records with ‘Rave Machine’

Oliver Heldens

A globally-renowned figure within electronic music, with remixes for the likes of The Chainsmokers, Calvin Harris, David Guetta through to Chic, Coldplay, Dua Lipa, Katy Perry, a UK number 1 single and multiple platinum records, Rotterdam-born Oliver Heldens has firmly cemented his position as one of the world’s most notable dance music superstars.

With over two billion streams to his name, and releases via the likes of FFRR, RCA and his own Heldeep imprint, Helden‘s illustrious career has seen the Dutchman play headline sets across leading international festivals including Glastonbury, Coachella, EDC, Lollapalooza, Tomorrowland and Ultra alongside revered dance music venues such as Fabrik, Printworks, Hakassan, Omnia & Marquee Las Vegas, Hï, Ushuaia and Pacha Ibiza and Warehouse Project. Next up, today welcomes a huge debut appearance on Mark Knight‘s Toolroom imprint as he delivers his latest single, ‘Rave Machine‘.

Over the last couple years, inspired by the likes of Slam, Alan Fitzpatrick, T78 & DJ Rush to name a few, I’ve been wanting (& trying) to also create music with a more old school / ravey banging Techno approach, besides the more Housey / Disco-y & ‘Futuristic’ / Elecro-ish tracks I usually do‘, says Oliver Heldens.

Oliver Heldens Rave Machine

This time while making ‘Rave Machine’ everything just really fell into place. It’s very much inspired on the iconic cold school rave anthem ’88 to piano’ by MainX and I’m very happy how it resulted into this ‘hybrid’ House meetsRave & Techno stomper. It’s pretty playful, melodic & groovy, but still a straightforward banging tune; for me, it has the best of both worlds.

Of course also huge credit to Rowetta for adding extra soul & bliss to the record by letting me use her iconic ‘Reach Out’ vocals! It’s a real honour for me + to be able to release this on one of my all-time favorite labels, is truly a childhood dream coming true. Shout out to Mark & the Toolroom team for believing in this track and drawing it over the line with me! Ps: I just found out MainX aka Rene van den Berghe from that ’88 topiano’ tune is also from my hometown, Rotterdam! Big ups to this legend!‘.

Opening with cracking snares and hefty kicks, the dynamic ‘Rave Machine‘ combines 90’s rave-tinged chords, sharp breaks and resonant, commanding lead vocals to reveal a powerful production destined for the peak time.

The new single follows on from ‘Details‘ which Oliver Heldens released only three weeks ago via RCA Records. Since its release, the record has amassed more than 4 million streams in a matter of weeks. While gigs move online, both ‘Rave Machine‘ and ‘Details‘ will get a fair bit of road testing in the weeks to come. Look out for Oliver and his bold new music, coming to a stream near you soon.

Andrew Rayel and Roxanne Emery unleash long-awaited, first-ever collaboration: ‘Never Going Down’

Andrew Rayel

A collaboration between Trance icon Andrew Rayel and renowned vocalist Roxanne Emery has been a long time coming, and that moment has finally arrived!

A record highly anticipated by legions of fans well before its inception, ‘Never Going Down‘ merges Andrew Rayel‘s high-impact sound with Roxanne Emery‘s iconic vocals to grant fans an uplifting experience able to withstand the test of time.

A phenomenal get-together between Andrew Rayel and Roxanne Emery, ‘Never Going Down‘ is a beacon of hope fans can draw strength from wherever they go. Armed with a high-energy intro, the piano-led vocals of Roxanne Emery and huge synth blasts, this release is a surge of power and emotion ready to take on the world.

It was one of those organic moments”, Andrew Rayel explains when asked about the creative process of the collaboration.

“I’ve always been a fan of Roxanne, and we had been trying to create something together for a while, but timing wasn’t right. Then one day, during one of the studio sessions I was having at the Armada HQ in Amsterdam, she was in town, we met up, and the spark was there.”

“‘Never Going Down’ is classic Andrew Rayel record, and there’s a strong emotional message at the heart of the song. We are all in a difficult time of life right now and we are all facing experiences that we haven’t before. And that’s exactly why we should keep creating memories together.”

Nora En Pure releases ‘In The Air Tonight’ Club Mixes

With the original amassing over half a million streams since its release in March, Nora En Pure and Lika Morgan’s stunning ‘In The Air Tonight’ has already received official remixes by Sons of Maria and Croatia Squad, and now receives three new adaptations in its Club Mixes remix package – out now via Spinnin’ Records.

Moving ‘In The Air Tonight‘ into a club realm, Nora En Pure‘s Club Edit adds a deliciously dark bassline and majestic vocal pads. Whisking the listener away, this remix has had fans patiently waiting for its release since playing it at Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival in March.

Passenger 10‘s remix picks up the pace, intertwining the vocal piece with staccato synths, leading the way for a powerful bassline. Transforming the original with a deep and choppy bassline, Leventina‘s remix is an after hour weapon that will keep the listener grooving with its rolling rhythm and club-ready elements.

Mat Zo returns to Anjunabeats with ‘Love Songs’

Mat Zo

It’s Anjunabeats’ pleasure to welcome back acclaimed electronic DJ and producer Mat Zo to the label, with ‘Love Songs’.

An artist that defies genre, Mat stays true to form on ‘Love Songs’. Wrapping together elements of electro, house, trance, and RnB into a vibrant vocal anthem, featuring a sample lifted from Eddie Holman’s ‘I’ve Been Singing Love Songs By Myself’.

Here’s what Mat Zo had to say about “Love Songs“:

Love Songs is a journey back to 2004, around the time I started making music. I had the vocal sample sitting on my hard drive for a couple of years, and I always kept going back to it just playing chords on top of it, trying to figure out what to do with it.

One day I was listening to Another Chance by Roger Sanchez, which was an old favorite of mine, and I realized some of the ideas from Another Chance would work really well with that sample. I wouldn’t say I ripped it off completely, but I definitely borrowed a lot from Another Chance,’

Mat Zo Love Songs

Bridging the gap between technology and music, Mat Zo will present a brand new festival experience in Minecraft next week on May 27th. Mat will perform an exclusive preview of his upcoming tracks alongside fellow artists Lutrell, Swardy, Groke, Rohaan, Inverted Silence & Counsel Pop. Serbia’s PM asked EXIT not to cancel but instead to take place in August 2020

Exit

Although the Serbian globally acclaimed EXIT Festival has already announced that it will not be held in its standard format and dates this year, Ana Brnabic, Serbia’s Prime Minister, has asked organizers not to cancel the festival, but rather postpone it to August.

Brnabic said that having in mind drastic improvement of health situation in Serbia as well as in many countries of Europe the recommendation given by the country’s health experts assembled in a National Crisis Team is to go ahead with the festival this summer:

We recommend to move the festival to August because we expect that the situation (with pandemic) in the whole of Europe will be totally under control by then”, she said in the city of Novi Sad, known as home to the EXIT Festival in the past 20 years.

The organizers stated that they are also welcoming the latest predictions by the health experts in Serbia and the rest of the Balkan region and expressed willingness to reduce capacity of the event and take all precautionary measures:

Festival in its full format with 55.000 per day and 40 stages will probably not return until 2021, but we are delighted to hear that health situation is becoming increasingly better and that we’ll be able to mark 20th anniversary of EXIT this summer with meaningful and safe event“, said the EXIT’s founder Dušan Kovačević.

„Health and safety of the audience and everyone involved at the festival is our top priority. We will work closely with Health officials in order to take all precasionary measures and make festival in August as safe as possible. Between fear and optimism we always choose later and we’re thrilled that we will have opportunity to be together with our fans and favourite artists this summer“, Kovačević concludes.

As expected, the news exploded in the festival industry around the globe with agents and artists seeing this as a hope to speed up revival of the event and festival industry which was hit the most by pandemic. Yourope board member and one of the EXIT’s founders Ivan Milivojev believes that the latest developments can help to save the whole industry.

It’s no secret that the event industry was heavily hit by the pandemic, and the initial predicitons were trully devastating to millions of jobs and famillies that depend on it“, says Milivojev and adds:

„This decision is very important for event fans all around the globe as even in different formats and smaller capacities, if possible and safe, events could bring back much needed relief from the hardship we have all been through“.

EXIT is a summer music festival founded in 2000 and held at the colossal 18th century Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad every July. It won the Best European Major Festival award twice, in 2013 and 2017, and promoted shows for global music stars such as The Cure, Madonna, Guns’n’Roses, Arctic Monkeys, Grace Jones, Migos, David Guetta, Nina Kraviz, Carl Cox, Motorhead, Wu-Tang Clan and thousands more. In 2019, EXIT Festival had over 200,000 visitors from 90 countries and contributed to Serbia’s economy with 16.4 million Euro, totalling in nearly 200 million since its founding two decades ago.

Born out of student protests, and working on numerous humanitarian and environmental projects ever since, including hosting Standing Rock activists on its Main Stage, EXIT is also launching its major social and environmental project to this date dubbed the LIFE STREAM. The project’s main idea is to stream some of the shows from the festival in a new innovative way by playing additional footage with quotes and information from scientific sources on climate crisis and other rising social issues after the pandemic.

In a rare interview with One World Radio, Klas Bergling – the father of the late Avicii – thanks the People of Tomorrow for voting his son’s career-making signature song ‘Levels‘ as the brand-new number one in the Tomorrowland Top 1000.

Klas Bergling: “My wife and I are really grateful that the People of Tomorrow have selected ‘Levels’ as the number one and their favorite record in the history of Tomorrowland. It means a lot to us and to Tim’s legacy, and of course his fans around the world. It’s a real honor.

At the time, I didn’t know the record was going to be as big as it is now, but I did really like it from the start. It has such a positive intro and I was very surprised because I had been listening a lot to Tim’s house music. He took unexpected steps when he was composing and producing, and I think the mix of Etta James and house music and the way Tim did it, was amazing.

Loco Dice announces ‘En Couleur” label with three-track EP ‘Sweet Nectar Blossom’

Loco Dice

Internationally renowned DJ and producer Loco Dice continues his prolific start to 2020 with the release of three-track EP ‘Sweet Nectar Blossom’, out 22nd May via his freshly launched En Couleur label.

The EP opens with the title track, a grainy, lo-fi house jam that’s characterised by its raw, stripped-back nature. ‘Kanak Funk‘ then follows a similar formula, a hazy, bumping groover that’s beauty is in its minimalism. Closing things out is recent single ‘Believe In Me‘, a blissed-out, ethereal house cut that transports listeners to the clouds and beyond with its spiritual leads and smooth transitioning.

Translating to “in colour” in French, En Couleur will be reserved exclusively for the Dusseldorf artist’s music. The name of the label was chosen because “colour stands for the diversity of cultures I absorb and artists I meet on my life journey,” Dice explains.

“Lots of things I do in my life appear in colour. The music I produce is like my movie in technicolor, and the music I play is sorted by colour in my crates and folders” he added.

Loco Dice Sweet Nectar Blossom EP

Loco Dice has also been busy launching his all-new Instagram talk show ‘3 Is The Magic Number‘. Having kicked off on 26th April with fellow dance music legend Carl Craig, the weekly show sees him chat to a new guest each week about their ‘all time favourite three’. This could be anything from albums to movies to books to games, with guests coming from the worlds of fashion, hip-hop, art, fashion, sports and of course electronic music.

Following on from Craig, Italian techno favourite Joseph Capriati and Grammy-winning music mogul Diplo appeared on the most recent editions, with more to be revealed.

Sweet Nectar Blossom‘ sees Loco Dice shift his creative energies towards a new sound and aesthetic, with stellar results.
