The year may be drawing to a close but the Creamfields announcements are coming thick and fast as the hype for the 2020 edition continues to grow, as they’ve now revealed their Sunday Steel Yard headliner – Camelphat.

It’s been a meteoric rise for the tech-house duo in recent years and Creamfields has been a constant throughout. Having worked together under various guises over the years, Camelphat first broke through in 2015 playing the festival for the first time that same year.

Since then they have trailblazed their way to the top of their game dropping an arsenal of massive singles along the way, most notably their globally successful and Grammy nominated hit ‘Cola‘ and their recently dropped ‘Rabbit Hole‘.

This, combined with big-name collaborations, non-stop world touring and managing to cleverly straddle the mainstream and the underground has garnered them a global following.

Securing the highly coveted headline slot in the 15,000 capacity Steel Yard superstructure at Creamfields is testament to their success and with a new album in the pipeline for 2020 fans can expect to hear some exclusive new cuts alongside some classics.

Camelphat are the latest act to be announced for Creamfields UK 2020 joining Pendulum – Trinity and Armin van Buuren with the first wave of acts due to be announced next month.

Creamfields 2020 returns to Daresbury in Cheshire, UK on 27th – 30th August Bank Holiday weekend. Ticket on sale now via link.

shine ibiza

Expanding its adventures to electronic music capitals like London, Amsterdam (for ADE), Belgium’s Tomorrowland and its just-announced Berlin debut , SHINE’s shine has been megawatt-bright throughout 2019.

The good word doesn’t stop there either! As much of the planet digs in for winter, SHINE brings news that’ll paint you some altogether sunnier mental imagery. Setting its sights once again on that little spot in the middle of the Med, SHINE today drop their full and complete DJ line-up for 2020’s excursion. Plenty exciting reading it makes too!

Having packed events at the freshly renovated Eden in 2019, SHINE resumes operations at the fabled San An nightspot from July 9. Headlining (naturally!) all 11 of SHINE’s events will be trance trailblazer Paul van Dyk, while its other DJs mainstays Aly & Fila will be touching down for no less than 5 of the shows. SHINE in 2020 has also given Paul an opportunity to flex those open-till-close muscles, performing a pair of all-night-long, six hour sets during August’s high season.

The first and penultimate nights of its season-long run will see SHINE debut-host some other trance royalty. July 9 sees Ferry Corsten deck-side with PvD and the two Alexs (M.O.R.P.H. and Ryan). Further into the season Sander van Doorn will be casting some of his Purple Haze over Isla Blanca, with his SHINE sign-in on Sept 10.

And all that’s just for starters! Throughout the season SHINE will be bringing in (or back!) an incomparably talented cast of party-starters. DJs Paul Thomas, Bryan Kearney, Grum, John O’Callaghan, Menno de Jong, Jordan Suckley, Will Atkinson and John 00 Fleming are just some of those who’ll be on hand to rock Ibiza to its core.

The new bastion for trance on Ibiza, White Island nights lie dead ahead. The DJs you already know & love… and the music you soon will. Full line-up details for SHINE Ibiza 2020 are below – tickets go on sale via link. SHINErs longstanding or newcoming welcome!

Armin van Buuren becomes ‘Global Oceans Ambassador’ and will contribute to the worldwide #BeatPlastic campaign

Armin van Buuren

World-famous DJ, Armin van Buuren, and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) are joining forces to motivate millions of people to join the movement to stop plastic waste being dumped in oceans. WWF is proud to announce that as Global Oceans Ambassador, Armin will contribute to the worldwide #BeatPlastic campaign.

Here’s what Armin van Buuren had to say about this:

“In between tours, I visited several WWF projects on Bali. There I could see with my own eyes how beautiful animals like turtles are affected by plastic pollution. These experiences opened my eyes and made me realize how much aid is needed.

For years, I have been bringing people together through music. That’s my way of making the world a little better. Besides being a DJ and producer, I am also a father and I want to give my kids the world they deserve, a world that not only they can appreciate, but one that can be enjoyed by many generations to come.”

The DJ adds: “The WWF’s inspiring message of nature conservation appeals to me as a father, a person and a public figure. I’m proud to announce we are joining forces and that I can call myself a Global Oceans Ambassador.”

The top DJ and the nature organization intend the #BeatPlastic campaign to mobilize Armin’s millions of fans, followers and supporters to stop plastic pollution. Urgent action is needed because at present, 8 million tons of plastic are dumped in the oceans each year.

Eradicating disposable plastic

As WWF ambassador, Armin is going to be active on various fronts. One of his projects is to ask his fans to sign the WWF petition, which calls on world leaders to draft an international binding UN treaty, containing concrete steps to stop plastic pollution. Armin is also going to give the right example by making his A State of Trance events plastic-smart.

Coordinated approach

Marco Lambertini, Director General of WWF International is delighted with the news of Armin being named WWF Global Oceans Ambassador:

“Our Oceans are in crisis, threatened by climate change and overfishing, but also plastic pollution, which is set to double by 2030. Addressing this requires a concerted approach involving business, government and the public. Together with leading personalities like Armin we can inspire millions of people around the globe to speak up to ensure that plastics never become waste.”

BLUE‘ is a testament to Tiësto’s continued growth as an artist, as he explores new styles and sounds on this melodic track.

“I wanted to end the year with a track that is a different vibe for me – the exploration of different sounds and styles is what keeps things fresh and energizing for me as an artist. 2019 has been a year of experimentation with different artists and across various sounds, styles, and genres, which I plan to continue into 2020.

‘BLUE’ is the perfect way to cap off an incredible decade, and I’m really excited to share a new song that I really love, ahead of the holidays” said Tiësto

BLUE‘ follows Tiësto‘s recent single “God Is A Dancer” feat. UK Pop Sensation Mabel, which garnered 92 million streams in it’s first months and “Ritual“, a collaboration with pop powerhouse Jonas Blue and global superstar Rita Ora that has clocked over 381 million streams to date. Last year’s single, “Jackie Chan” with Post Malone, Dzeko and Preme, recently passed the 1 billion stream mark, now platinum certified 50+ times in over 20 countries, including the UK and US.

Tritional seems to never stop giving their listeners more and more! The duo recently shared the Alpha 9 remix of their hit “Never Be The Same,” and now, PROFF and Crystal Skies have shared their takes on the track.

The Texas duo’s first release following their triumphant ‘U & Me‘ album, ‘Never Be The Same‘ was a smash new single from in-form Tritonal, complete with luscious vocals from American singer Rosie Darling.

Now Russian producer and Progressive Trance heavyweight ALPHA 9 takes the reigns, crafting a dynamic remix with 80’s synth influences that will blow you away.

Meanwhile, fellow Russian producer PROFF follows with a darker Progressive take, giving the track a melodiously minor vibe, and contributing an extra dub version for good measure. To round out the remix package, Crystal Skies close proceedings with their boisterous, impeccably-produced remix featuring roaring synths and an explosive vibe.
