DGTL ADE 2023 Announce Massive Full Line-up

From Thursday, October 19th, to Sunday, October 22nd, Amsterdam’s iconic NDSM Warehouse will once again play host to DGTL highly anticipated ADE programming. Over the course of four spectacular days and six captivating shows, the event will feature performances by some of the world’s most renowned DJs and live acts, all in front of an audience of 30,000 enthusiastic visitors.

Thursday’s opening night showcases the broad scope of DGTL’s line-up. With headliners Bicep, Dixon and Stephan Bodzin on the line-up, tickets are unsurprisingly selling fast. Experimental DJ Jennifer Loveless and psychedelic, UK bass queen Manami ensure female acts are firmly front and centre. DGTL’s commitment to representing homegrown talent comes in the form of Berlin-based producer Coloray, who dances across the lines of 80s synth pop, disco and electronica, and who released his track Blinded on DGTL Records last year.

Friday night’s extravaganza sees legendary Norwegian duo Röyksopp perform their exhilarating live show. The Scandinavian visionaries have been transforming their performances into unparalleled musical trips for years. Unprecedentedly productive in the studio, with three new albums last year alone (!), the unique performance from Röyksopp promises to be one of the standout moments of ADE 2023 as a whole.

DGTL ADE 2023

Folamour has been a beloved and inseparable part of the DGTL family for years, so it’s only right that his House Of Love will dominate Friday night at the NDSM Warehouse. With an energetic set by crowd favorite and DGTL regular Jayda G, which will undoubtedly resonate far beyond the Warehouse, DJ David Vunk keeps the vibe pumping with a set full of Italo and disco music for the masses.

Energy leads to extravagance, and they don’t come more extravagant than DGTL’s next two superstars: The Blessed Madonna and Róisín Murphy. Róisín will be a special guest on DGTL ADE Saturday during We Still Believe By The Blessed Madonna. Her new album Hit Parade will be released on September 8 and if her recent Boiler Room set is anything to go by, her solo performance for DGTL will be one for the books.

Sedef Adasi, resident DJ of the iconic BLITZ in Munich and Panoramabar in Berlin, will have house classics, electro and space disco tumbling over each other in her set. For those still reeling from Bambounou and Vuur’s thrilling set on the Boiler Room stage at DGTL Festival earlier this year, double down as they return to DGTL ADE, alongwith DJ FKA.M4a, who is still on everyone’s mind.

For fans of dark techno, NDSM Warehouse on Saturday night from 23:30 absolutely delivers. SPFDJ makes the dance floor tremble with fast, hard-hitting techno, smatterings of electro, acid, hardcore and trance effortlessly sprinkled throughout. Last year, set-proclaimed ‘noisician’ Paula Temple made waves on the dance floor, and this year she’s promising to turn it up a notch. Dax J is back for the third time in a row, and in advance of Saturday night will be another legendary b2b between Helena Hauff and Héctor Oaks.

And for the first time in its ADE history, DGTL also announced Sunday programming, a move that turned out to have the golden touch. When DGTL organizers dropped news that Sunday would belong to the legendary Peggy Gou and her Gou Talk party, tickets as expected almost immediately sold out; with DJ Stingray 313, Carista and Objekt just some of the names lining up alongside Peggy Gou herself, it came as no surprise. The perfect way to wrap up ADE 2023, it underlines how on the mark DGTL remain with their commitment to bringing only the biggest, most innovative stars to their line-ups, year in, year out.

Jakk’d & $on-$hine Release Fresh, Funky House Single In ‘Luven Me’

When tracing electronic music’s cyclical trajectory, one often finds a confluence of nostalgia and futurism. “Luven Me” — the fresh offering from the prolific Jakk’d and the rhythmically astute $on-$hine — exemplifies this potent melding.

For nearly ten transformative years, Jakk’d, consisting of Vjay Seminiano and Max Dean, have navigated the tumultuous tides of electronic music. Their alchemy of house, trap, hip hop, and RnB has earned them not mere listeners, but vocal advocates. Martin Garrix on Sirius Radio, the pulsating stages of Ultra Music Festival with Vindata, and the echo chambers of the Two Friends Radio show have all resonated with their tunes.

Meanwhile, $on-$hine, the stage name of Sonny Vilardo, brings an organic sensibility to his beats. His nine years of drumming are palpable, introducing a raw, rhythmic texture that’s both grounding and invigorating.

With “Luven Me“, the past’s evocative charm meets the present’s precision. Enriched by soulful R&B vocals, the track oscillates between yesteryear’s warmth and contemporary crispness. It’s not just a track; it’s an invitation — urging listeners to appreciate house music’s enduring legacy while embracing its boundless possibilities.

SIZE Records and Tomorrowland Music Records proudly announce the release of ‘SIZE xx TML’

steve angello

In an era where electronic dance music has evolved into a cultural phenomenon, two trailblazing entities have converged to celebrate a shared legacy and an inspiring future. SIZE Records and Tomorrowland Music Records proudly announce the release of ‘SIZE xx TML’, co-released on both imprints now. The six-track EP represents a harmonious blend of past, present and future, marking a defining moment in electronic music.

Reflecting on the collaboration with Tomorrowland Music, Steve Angello said:

“This collaboration between SIZE and Tomorrowland is more than just a fusion of sounds; it’s a celebration of two decades of musical evolution, friendship, and creativity. Remixing the classics gives us a chance to honor our roots, while introducing four incredible new acts showcases our commitment to innovation and the future of music. Here’s to the past 20 years of harmony and inspiration, and to the next 20 years, where we’ll continue to break boundaries and redefine what’s possible.”

HIISAK comments about ‘Subiendo (Vazilando)‘: “This song brings me back to my first musical influences and roots as a drummer with percussive structures and Latin-based samples. I’m so excited to be back on SIZE for this special collaboration with Tomorrowland Music. Let’s go SIZE family, Vamos Subiendo!”

Here’s what AN21 had to say: “It’s an honour to share my remix of ‘The Ocean’ originally by my brother Steve Angello. Ever since this track first graced my ears, I’ve been captivated by its rhythm and soul. Now, as we celebrate SIZE xx, remixing this song feels like the perfect culmination, marking both an end and a fresh beginning. This remix for me is a journey – a consistent drive that builds up to something truly spectacular. It’s a crescendo of emotion and excitement, an interpretation of what the original song means to me.”

Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano: “Our tribute to Steve Angello’s timeless ‘Monday’ – we’re thrilled and honoured to finally unleash the remix we did together with Magnificence to the world!”

Magnificence added: “Thrilled to see my remix with Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano for one of the biggest songs by Steve Angello being released now. The ‘Monday’ remix has been an absolute highlight in my DJ sets since 2018. The original song by Steve has a special place in my heart, which makes this a very special project for me.”

Kommando: “‘DANCE BABY DANCE’, my first track, it’s the beginning of my artistic realization and my path that was able to transform into music what I am now and what I feel to be; an energy injector and smile creator, a colorful rebel and a party starter. I’m honored to have been given this opportunity by the SIZE family and Steve Angello himself, all of that gives a real thrill and a great sense of responsability. Being a part of the SIZE EP in collaboration with Tomorrowland, the most important festival in the world, makes everything just even more incredible.”

Daniel Etienne: “Late 2021, inspired by the Italian winter and sounds of the new age house, ‘Omniscient’ was born. Incorporating granular synthesizers into house music together with ethereal atmospheres, makes it a very fresh and unique sounding tune. Being a part of the SIZE x TML EP is the best case scenario for this song, since it’s two labels that can bring the absolute best out of music. Really excited for this collaboration and the music coming out.”

Speaking about the track Pretty Output said: “‘Do You Hear Me’ came to life last year and it’s a special one. We were inspired by a lot of different styles at the time and that’s what you’re hearing. We’re super excited to be on this EP! Celebrating Size’s 20 year anniversary together with Tomorrowland Music is an honor and with ‘Do You Hear Me’ as our introduction, we couldn’t be happier.”

The collaboration between SIZE and Tomorrowland was more than a coincidence. These two iconic brands were established almost in the same year and have been growing, evolving, and shaping the industry year after year.

From Techno Events to Talent Powerhouse: The Evolution of Eat The Beat in Australia’s Electronic Music Scene

Eat The Beat emerged as a music collective, driven by a team with a bold vision: infusing the Melbourne City underground music scene with a fresh European sound. Their aim was to introduce a novel and distinctive musical experience to both the town and its dedicated club-goers.

This journey began in the intimate confines of the “Kitchen” room at New Guernica, a compact yet central club in Melbourne. Little did they know, this humble start would propel them to becoming one of the city’s premier nightlife destinations.

Their inaugural event in the “Kitchen” room which was actually set up as a kitchen, with stoves, fridge, etc. exceeded all expectations, drawing a crowd larger and more enthusiastic than any prior gathering. The club’s management was so taken aback by the success that they encouraged the collective to continue and offered them the opportunity to expand their influence, eventually taking over the entire club, including its main room.

In just a few years, their Saturday night affair evolved into one of the city’s most sought-after events, with an unrivaled energy electrifying the dance floor. Eat The Beat were in some way pioneers of a new style focused on tech-house and techno music when they were not really popular in Australia.

Eat The Beat

As the collective matured both artistically and professionally, they forged partnerships with prominent music institutions within the city. These collaborations led to co-hosting prestigious events such as Carl Cox‘s PURE, elrow, Circoloco, and Festival X. This elevated their status, allowing them to showcase top-tier international DJs at their Saturday night soirees. In effect, the once-small club morphed into a pivotal hub for both ardent clubbers and esteemed DJs.

Despite the formidable challenges posed by the COVID pandemic and enduring one of the world’s lengthiest lockdowns (spanning over a year of club closures), Eat The Beat remained resolute in their commitment to their project. They seized the opportunity to relocate their home venue, bidding farewell to New Guernica and embracing a larger, revamped location in the artistic Collingwood neighborhood, proximate to the city center.

This bold move served as a rejuvenating catalyst after the hiatus imposed by the pandemic, enabling them to resume hosting larger-than-life parties and regularly welcoming international DJ talents.

Eat The Beat

In summary, Eat The Beat‘s journey commenced as a quest to introduce European musical flavors to Melbourne’s underground scene. Through perseverance, innovation, and collaboration, they blossomed from a modest gathering in the “Kitchen” room to a pivotal player on the global nightlife stage. Their unyielding belief in their vision, even in the face of a global pandemic, underscores their dedication to keeping the beat alive and thriving.

Eat The Beat has expanded from a Melbourne reality to a music institution recognized and well-known all over Australia with branded parties, Artist bookings, and DJ tours around every city of the country!

In addition to their weekly parties and collaborations, Eat The Beat has taken a significant step in recent years by establishing a Booking Agency. This agency proudly represents a talented team of DJs and Producers who are not only mainstays at Eat The Beat parties but also have a strong presence across Australia, Asia, Europe, and soon in North and South America. These artists are consistently featured on prominent music labels and have made their mark on Beatport‘s top charts.

Highlighting their growth and influence, Eat The Beat is returning to ADE Amsterdam in 2023 for the second consecutive year with their signature branded party. This move marks a pivotal moment as the brand evolves into an international powerhouse, facilitating bookings and curating events beyond the borders of Australia.
