Dropping his debut release ‘Tell Me’ featuring Faith on the Taikomochi Records imprint, SYNCIA is currently celebrating his number one position in the Techno Charts on Traxsource. Rising up the ranks in the Top 20 Singles Chart this week it’s without doubt his star is one of the brightest to shine so far this Summer.
Tastemakers and media love to predict the future, remaining ahead of burgeoning trends and the inherent hordes at all times; they consistently leverage their well-honed ears and accumulative sense of hit-making potential for the names they discover and ultimately break.
A prime example of this is UK talent SYNCIA, who is presently stepping up to the plate and fast making serious moves forward in the music industry. Already a veritable name on key decision-makers’ lips, this year is proving to be a growing success for the relatively new player on the scene.
Looking deeper into this enigmatic artist, his primary stance is allowing the music to do most of the talking. Keeping his social media activity relatively stripped back, his mysterious persona and succinct production technique are paired together to directly harness the true essence of clubland. He’s perfectly poised to cross over with an unadulterated commercial appeal with a definable underground edge fluidly elevated with adept studio knowledge.
For those unaware of the expansive SYNCIA vibe, think classic House flavours from the 90’s mixed with a current raw Tech House drive, suitably combined with a touch of early Rave for good measure. Consistently delivering quality releases that are fearless in engaging with the fun side of the party and maintaining credibility at every turn.
Syncia – Faith
SYNCIA is clearly set on spearheading the new school UK movement with a mindset to create and be involved with as many projects as possible. This is all about sharing uplifting moments with as many people as possible during such pivotal global changes. Becoming enveloped with all aspects of delivery, including running his record label. SYNCIA is taking immediate inspiration from his formative years running a record store, DJ, clubber and notable artist under a different alias.
For us, 2023 is the time for SYNCIA to step out above the collective shadows and directly into the limelight, showcasing his voracious talent for commanding crowds. With enduring energy, he translates from dark rooms in Berlin to commanding massive international festivals with incredible ease. Signing to an enviable list of imprints already, which includes Sankeys, 338‘s Release LDN, Dense & Pika’s Kneaded Pains, KMS and Centralised, he is consistently creating a tapestry of tones that effortlessly cut through the global mainstream with a recognisable and trademark sound.
Proudly leaning into his British heritage as a purveyor in House and Techno, his unique blend of clever sampling, modern synthesis and amazing analogue hybrid studio, breaking musical barriers and continuously reflecting on the past, is highlighted across every release. As an uber-hot remixer of choice, he’s already been called upon by the chart-topping acts Dense & Pika, Soul Central and Inner City to provide his take on forthcoming singles. Recently featured at Release in London, it was immediately evident that SYNCIA is a well-seasoned player. Taking the local crowd and turning the party inside out with a mix of genres and meticulously curated edits.
Reflecting on his immense musical knowledge, a myriad of legendary names and DJs spring to mind when describing the SYNCIA sound. His current vibe incorporates an air of Carl Craig meets Kenny Larkin, to early Green Velvet with an edge of Eats Everything and Patrick Topping. As you can see, this is big… hence the lofty accolades for a performer you’ll see a lot more throughout the year. Expect a solid soundscape focusing on the dancefloor while consciously tearing up sound systems worldwide and remaining on regular radio rotation.
Projecting forward on his meteoric success to date, SYNCIA shares, “This track is epic and never fails to go off. It’s incredible to see so many people worldwide supporting and loving my music. This keeps pushing me forward, and 2023 promises to be a massive year for me already.”
Taking a firm leaf from the book of SYNCIA, don’t simply take our word for it… let the music do the talking. From the UK to Europe, Ibiza to Miami, Chicago to Melbourne, sit back and watch the clubbers instantly erupt. With a sequential run of hot new singles on the way, this point marks the start of a Summer of madness for SYNCIA ahead.

In 2015, Tomorrowland welcomed the Belgian National Orchestra to play the Symphony of Unity live on stage. The DJ booth was handed over to 80 live musicians for the very first time, performing the Symphony of Unity, composed specially for Tomorrowland – bringing a magical performance in which classical and electronic music was united and transformed into an unprecedented show.
Four years later, the Symphony of Unity returned to Tomorrowland in 2019 in collaboration with the Metropole Orchestra Academy, playing a 60-minute spectacle on both Sundays, as well as two magical ‘Our Story‘ shows in the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. The orchestra’s performance was mesmerizing for the audience, with a unique live mix between the all-time and most iconic electronic Tomorrowland anthems and magical classical music such as the Tomorrowland Hymn.
The Symphony of Unity
This year, Tomorrowland teamed up with BMW to look for musicians themselves. With more than 100 registrations from all over the world coming in, seven musicians have been selected and invited to join the Symphony of Unity live on stage during Tomorrowland at the Atmosphere stage on July 22 and July 29.

Awakenings joined forces with HandicapNL and Philips TV & Sound, for its Summer Festival and is proud to announce a ‘low stimulus’ space. This area is designed to provide a serene and calming environment for visitors who may require it, offering amenities such as noise-cancelling headphones, soothing sounds, and tranquil imagery.
There are 2 million people living with disabilities in the Netherlands, with a significant number being young individuals. A large part of this group are young people who feel lonely and don’t go to festivals. For them, taking part in normal everyday activities is not always a given. Awakenings aims to make a difference by enhancing the accessibility of its events, ensuring that everyone can fully enjoy the festival experience.
In this newly added care space, the HandicapNL staff will be available to offer guidance, with the additional support of a medical volunteer for assistance. Several spaces have been set up where overstimulated visitors can find peace and quiet individually. There also is a treatment room where additional medical care can be provided. A qualified attendant stationed at the entrance will ensure that only those genuinely in need of the space can enter, directing other visitors to the various chill-out areas throughout the festival grounds.
Here’s what Nikki Schuurs – Sustainability Manager at Awakenings had to say about this:
“Previously, Awakenings has taken measures to facilitate visitors with disabilities, such as providing complimentary tickets for companions, accessible parking and toilets, ramps, and pathways. Through discussions with HandicapNL and with the target audience, we realized the potential to do even more. We strongly believe that everyone should have the opportunity to embrace the beauty of festivals.
At Awakenings we want to make the effort to remove as many barriers as possible in the future, starting with the introduction of the low-stimulus space. Many individuals may desire to attend festivals, but due to their inability or because they don’t want – or can’t – be surrounded by large crowds for extended periods, they opt out. We aim to address this issue by providing solutions through such additions to our festival experience. By sharing knowledge and experiences, we hope to inspire other event organizers so we can make the festival industry more inclusive and accessible.”
Awakenings is part of the frontrunners group, led by HandicapNL, which strives to make events more accessible under the banner of ‘Unlimited Party’.
The low-stimulus space is a collaboration between Awakenings, HandicapNL, and Philips TV & Sound. Discussions with HandicapNL identified the necessary requirements to adequately accommodate people with disabilities at festivals, and Awakenings found a valuable partner in Philips TV & Sound to fill those needs. Philips TV & Sound will provide noise-cancelling headphones and screens for the low-stimulus area, among other contributions.
“We strive to create a world in which people with disabilities do not have to face any restrictions within society. This often requires big changes, in which collaborations with frontrunners have a huge positive impact. In our shared vision to bring people together regardless of differences, we are incredibly happy that Awakenings is one of our 10 festival partners. With this collaboration, we are bringing everyone in our society a little closer together and we are incredibly proud of the contribution we and our partners have made to that!” says Daniëlle Schuurmans, Director HandicapNL.
The low-stimulus space at Awakenings Summer Festival is part of a pilot project, with the intention of making it a regular feature at future Awakenings festivals. The insights gained from this initiative will be shared with both the leaders group of ‘Unlimited Party’ and the internal festival working group within the ID&T Group, fostering collaboration and further progress.
Awakenings hopes to inspire other organizers to follow suit, enabling individuals with disabilities to enjoy festivals to the fullest. At Awakenings Summer Festival, as always, one caregiver can accompany a person with disabilities free of charge. Additional cottages with disabled facilities have been designated, and specific spots near a toilet and shower building modified for disabled individuals have been reserved for those who prefer to bring their own tents.
Detailed information about all the available facilities can be found HERE.
Super-talented DJ and producer Farrago releases the heavily anticipated debut album ‘Blesssed’. The multidimensional new project arrives via his very own imprint Vermillion Trax, a brand-new label that is destined to subvert expectations and deviate from the norm.
Listeners were initially introduced to the project with the stampeding first-look ‘Addicted To Bass’ feat. Amelie Lens, a bold entry point into the labyrinthian debut album.
‘Ducky Tribal Mission’ swiftly picked up the pace, with a lethal injection of euphoric melody and golden-era techno spirit. The final single to be shared before this album’s inception was the hair-raising, psy-trance big hitter ‘Naked Light’. The puzzle pieces have finally aligned, the portal to ‘Blesssed’ is now officially open.
Farrago – Blessed
Here’s what Farrago had to say about his debut album:
“I’ve been producing music for almost 20 years but the dream to one day release an album started a long time before that. I was the kid who would sit in the back of the bus listening to music on his discman and not talking too much unless spoken to. I was a big fan of bands like Daft Punk, The Prodigy… I really looked up to them and knew I too, wanted to release an album one day. To leave a mark and become part of music history, hopefully?
If it was good enough, I mean, ha ha The first track I made for ‘Blesssed’ was the first track I worked on after having a stroke 3 years ago. Life can be short so after my accident I decided I shouldn’t postpone any big dreams I had anymore. The truth is ‘Ducky Tribal Mission’ isn’t even that old. I didn’t make music during covid because my brain was still in recovery, and I was terrified of going into the studio.
Doctors told me I’d suffered a serious amount of brain damage and they weren’t sure how this would affect my day-to-day life. I had severe anxiety that I would have lost my touch and maybe not be able to make music anymore at all. It was nearly 20 months later where I first found the courage to open Ableton again.
I made the first track for the album in 2 days while lying down on the sofa on my laptop speakers. Very unusual way of working to be fair but I was happy. Because the remaining 10tracks were all made in a timespan of 4 months, it was the first time in my life I felt like I had enough tracks that fit together sound-wise to consider releasing them as an album. ‘Blesssed’ became a possibility.”
One of the main protagonists of the techno 2.0 generation, the leading man of the Lenske family and Exhale community, Farrago is a name that sparks joy. His name is synonymous to fast and trippy sounds from the broader spectrum of electronic music. A mix of trancey melodies and psy infused techno are to be expected when you are surrounded by other ravers on Sam’s dancefloor.
After 3 releases on the Berlin based A R T S label, the Exhale resident co-founded Lenske with Amelie Lens in 2018 and has been a mainstay there for the past few years. A few years later, a new chapter unfolds with the announcement of his debut album that will be released on a new label run by the man himself.
